Appetizer of crab cakes was pretty good. Dinner: another story. We go in there before the dinner rush. The spinach salad one of my sons ordered was great and the shrimp scampi my other son ordered was quite good too. The ribeye steak I ordered medium rare was spot on and had a nice char but my potato was not the way I ordered it(they fixed it). The prime rib my husband ordered medium rare was well done; he sent back and they sent out one that was medium rare. Didn’t have much flavor, though. The chicken caprese my daughter ordered came out as chicken Marsala so we had to send it back. Mind you, our waiter, who was very nice and very attentive, had caught none of this when it left the kitchen. They then SENTOUTTHESAMECHICKENMARSALA(with the grossest«Marsala» sauce ever, tasted more like canned turkey gravy — yes– funky and waaaaaaaay off) with the SAMESAUCE(they picked out the mushrooms) with a cold slab of mozzarella and a mealy tomato. Tell me– have you ever heard of a caprese dish with«Marsala»(turkey gravy) sauce? We asked for them to comp it– it was a complete disaster. They did, and keep in mind we were super nice about it all, but after ALLTHESESCREWUPSTHEMANAGERNEVERCAMEOUTONCE!!! SPENT $ 150. They’re obviously just relying on the tourists who will never be back so they don’t care but they’ve forgotten about Unilocal. — it’s a new era, and they need to realize that. We had a far better dinner last night at College St. Brewery.

We stopped in on Friday afternoon. The restaurant was severely understaffed but very busy. Marina our waitress was handling the entire restaurant. She was wonderful and deserves recognition! She literally ran from table to table to the kitchen and bar. She was cheerful, friendly, accommodating and never got an order wrong. The sandwich we ordered was not up to shugrues standard… bland and soggy but we never complained because Marina’s service made up for it.

We went there on a Thursday night, surprisingly the place was packed. Despite not having a reservation, we were able to get a nice table by the window with a great view of the London Bridge. My wife ordered the chefs special Mahi-Mahi. It was outstanding. It came with coconut butterfly shrimp that was equally delicious. I was able to steal a bite and it was really great. I had the ribeye and baked potato. It was very good also. I was served a large portion of meat and perfectly cooked. The ribeye was as good as the more expensive fancy steakhouses that I have been too. As usual, the food at Shugrues was fantastic. The quality of food was 5 star. The only reason I didn’t give them a overall five stars is because our waitress apparently knew another couple near our table and spent a large amount of time speaking to them and was slow attending to us. The service was good, but not the same level as the food. Shugrues is the best, nice restaurant in town and a great place for any special occasion or a great meal. The meals are not cheap but they are well worth the cost.

Food was excellent if it didn’t show up an hour and a half later. Waitress forgot our appetizers! Other parties sat after us received their food before us! The waitress argued with us about the timing. The waitress or manager didn’t offer to comp anything. The bimbo behind us tried to threaten and start a fight and followed us outside. Not classy.

By far the best steak in Havasu, I had the Tornedos Oscar and was delightful. Service fast and friendly, shout out to Lisa for excellent service. Shrimp, prime rib, sirloin steak, and lobster all cooked to perfection as ordered. Most definitely recommend!

This place has never failed us in food, however don’t be in a hurry. Every time we have come here, we have been seated in the bar area which is a good thing, however, the bartender is normally pulling double duty for the bar and the tables. We had the Artichoke crab dip and the Black and Blue Ahi tuna. Both dishes were pretty good. Next we had the the French Onion Soup and the Cobb Salad. There are items they have there on the menu which are not shown online. We had a mango talapia, a salmon and a burger. All the food is amazing and the drinks especially during happy hour is pretty reasonable. The service in the bar is very slow until the restaurant realizes they have a full bar and several tables, then they finally ask another server to come in and help the bar. Once they did this the service moved a little faster, but we were still there for close to 2 hours which was ok because we were not in a hurry. I had to be reminded that last time we were here the service was very slow so I am now guessing it is the norm for this place. Either way, the food is good, when you sit in the bar you have a nice view of the water and the London Bridge and can watch the boats come and go. So this is a place we like the food, we have never had a bad experience with the food and we will continue to stop here when in the area. So the bottom line is, we will be back…

Our whole experience at Havasu was amazing and Shugrue’s blew it out of the water. #1 Excellent customer service. The hostess pulled my seat out for me, our server Jake was super personable and he and the the chef made sure we got everything we wanted, just as we liked it. Plus, the splits of champagne were only $ 5!!! Our compliments to the entire house. #2 the view and ambiance were spectacular. We will definitely be returning.

Very impressive experience we were promptly seated close to the window with an amazing view of the channel. We were pleasantly greeted by our waiter Kevin. We ordered a bottle of wine and a meat and cheese tray appetizer that was presented very nice. We ordered The Cab wine which we fell in love with. For dinner we had chicken piccata and chicken Marsala the meal was served hot and tasted delicious. What set this place different was the service. Yes I mean Kevin we dine out frequently and it’s been years since we had such amazing service. We thrive for that type of customer service. So if you want a nice meal and amazing service ask for Kevin he will not let you down. Thanks again Kevin we can’t wait to come back and visit. Every restaurant needs a Kevin just scroll thru the reviews and see how many times he is mentioned.

Kevin is a great waiter. The food is fantastic. Everything on the menu was good from fish to the stakes. Sit by the windows and you can watch all the big boats go by on the water.

Good old American food! Restaurant overlooked the London Bridge, very nice, service was great. A: Shrimp alfredo fettuccine — think sauce with the right amount of flavor, generous amount of shrimps with toasty garlic bread A: Clam Chowder — chucks of clam in creamy rich texture, no complaints A: Amoundinie Salmon — it smelled like cookies fresh out the oven! Tasted delicious too It’s one of those restaurants that just gives you plenty of food. Warm bread to start you off with and every entrée came with 1 – 2 sides. Very fulfilling meal and inexpensive. I will be back should I ever find myself in Lake Havasu again.

The steaks were too well, the service was very good. The price is fair. Look like we came in and I am at 5PM, place is pretty empty even though it’s Saturday, but by 6 o’clock place was packed. This is not the foods time we eating here, I would still recommend a restaurant is a good place to eat.

Well we tried to eat lunch but ended up walking out after 40 minutes. My wife and I after walking across the bridge stopped in for lunch we both ordered sandwiches after a it in 40 minutes the waiter brought out a basket of bread and butter, but no plates. We waited a few more minutes and then asked for our check. The manager. Came over and apologize, but still charged us for the two wines on the bill. I can’t say anything about the food but on a fairly slow Saturday the service was terrible. I won’t be going back and if you don’t have a lot of time to spend I would look for someplace else to dine.

I ordered a smoked ham sandwich with a garden salad and the husband ordered the coconut mango tilapia. Mine was about three stars and his was four. They were out of almost every beer except 2 kinds. Service was very friendly but very slow.

Last Saturday, six of us from Minneapolis flew to Las Vegas and rented a van to drive down to spend Super Bowl weekend with some friends near Parker, AZ. We wanted to enjoy an agreeable dinner en route following the plane trip and a lengthy drive through the desert. Shugrue’s in Lake Havasu City was suggested. We booked a table. When we arrived ~7:45PM for our 8:00PM reservation the place was crowded but well managed. Despite our being early we were seated fairly quickly in a semi-private room which turned out to be a real plus since the noise level in the main dining area would have made conversation all but impossible. The room apparently overlooked London Bridge but darkness negated that feature. No big deal. We walked out to a deck after dinner to catch a glimpse. BTW, for what it’s worth the realtor who purchased it, despite what urban legend might suggest did know that he wasn’t purchasing the much more architecturally significant and historic Tower Bridge but a comparatively utilitarian Thames crossing that was scheduled to be demolished and replaced. Anyway, we were road weary, hungry and looking forward to unwinding in a relaxed setting over plates of comfort food. Shugrue’s delivered. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. We started with some appetizers including bacon wrapped water chestnuts and calamari. The former were quite palatable but the chestnuts lacked crunch and the bacon could have been crispier. The latter was satisfactory in taste, texture and quantity. Entrees were accompanied by a house salad, potato and side vegetable. I opted for a medium-rare rib eye, baked potato and steamed broccoli. I added an order of sautéed mushrooms to be split among several of us. The salad was a perfectly acceptable, classic combination of iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onion, croutons and Blue Cheese dressing. The steak was well marbled and flavorful, prepared exactly to the doneness ordered but needed a bit a trimming to remove excess fat and gristle. Honestly, for the price it was a very good cut of beef. The potato was big and fluffed up nicely with a bit of prodding with a fork. The broccoli was lightly steamed, still retaining some snap. Others enjoyed Chicken Marsala, a Surf & Turf combo and a New York strip. No complaints were heard. I’ll add that meals were also accompanied by baskets of warm bread and small ramekins of herb-garlic butter. In short, to me Shurgrue’s represents a time honored tradition of the safe, non-threatening, something-for-everyone supper club. A place where one can unwind after a long road trip. Where a multi-generational family can enjoy dinner together. Or, as seemed to be the case when we arrived, a large, lively group of retirees can enjoy a night out together. This establishment knows their niche and I think fills it well.

Dedicated to to dine here only because the window menu showed escargot as on of the appetizers. Excitingly we went to the restaurant and sat down with our menu and could not find the item. We asked the server and she stated stated that must have been an old menu in the entrance window menu. They had not had escargot for 6 months.

We came at 8 pm and were greatly and seated quickly. We had the special Stuffed Halibut and steak Oscar both were delicious and the stuffed potatoes was yummy also. The wine list was half off a bottle so that was a great deal. I did order a Martini and did t drink it because the bartender didn’t make a good mix drink sad to say. Ok came here for New Years Eve dinner and such a disappointment Scallops came out raw and Demi glaze is not supposed to be a gravy consistency. Very bummed waste of our money and left half our meals. I can’t change my stars after my second time if I could it would be a 3!

We(party of 4) had the pleasure of dining here last night and everything was 5 star. Beginning with the reservations. I attempted to make a reservation at 6:30PM to watch the boat Christmas light parade, Of course they we booked full. The person that answered the phone helped us by suggesting alternate locations were we were able to sit and watch the parade. We had heard good reviews about the restaurant so we decided to take the advice of the receptionist and watch from the secondary location and I asked when we could book a reservation. As it turned out they still had an opening at 7:30 pm so I took that time. At arrival we were greeted by the receptionist(who was also the manager) and promptly seated. We ordered drinks(wine, coffee and water) and placed our orders a few minutes later. Ordered: Appetizers(shared) ~$ 16.?? Cheese, Meat, Fruit & Cracker Plate which was delivered on a marble type cutting board and presented very well. All items were fresh and portions were very good for the price(excellent value). It included at least 4 kinds of cheese, 3 kinds of meats, 4 kinds of fruit as well as a mustard dipping sauce. ~$ 12.?? Stuffed clams, 7 to 9 with dipping sauce. Unique/excellent tasting(fair value). Meals(shared): ~$ 2??? Petite Cut Prime rib which came with soup or salad and a choice of other accompanying items from which a vegetable was chosen. The portion was very adequate and cooked to order. The Prime Rib was tender and moist despite the fact that my mother ordered it med-well. The soup(Clam Chowder, New England style) was excellent and the mixed vegetables were cooked to perfection.(Good value) ~$ 12.?? + ~$ 5(split order charge) Eggplant parmigiana, splitting order provided for two orders of soup or salad and added additional fettuccine, Eggplant parmigiana was spilt without additional added however still provided 2 slices per split serving. The salads were fresh and well portioned. The eggplant was cooked with ricotta cheese and covered in mozzarella cheese with a red marinara sauce. Excellent tasting(Excellent Value) Drinks: $ 12 per glass(6 to 9 oz est) Cabernet Wine, good flavor(fair value, a little high) ~$?? Coffee, fresh medium roast. Included at table for guest: Free sourdough bread with butter. Desert: $?? Brandy, Korbel taste as expected. ~$ 5 to $ 7? Blueberry sour cream pie. Excellent taste and large portion, came with vanilla ice cream.(Very good value). Service: Outstanding service, employees help each other so you are never left waiting. Coffee refilled without asking. It should be noted that the serving staff gave you room while never letting you need for anything. Atmosphere: Great view of lake if sitting in atrium area with floor to ceiling Windows. All areas clean including the bathroom! We sat in a booth which had adequate spacing, comfortable. Lighting was dim and could be considered romantic. Whenever in the lake havasu area we will make a point of eating here, really that is the best compliment a patron can provide an establishment is repeat business and thus place has earned ours.

All I need to say is GLEN! I really don’t think I need to say much more because if anyone has had him/knows him as a server, already knows! He is hands down one of the best servers I have ever had. actually he is the BEST! He loves his job and it definitely shows. He is very attentive, loves to give suggestions(good suggestions), and such an amazing personality! He is definitely a people person and everyone seems to love him here. Honestly the overall experience is amazingly awesome! I do have a recommendation. if you’re in a bad mood or maybe you want a quiet dinning experience that’s not so fun, don’t ask for him… but you’re honestly missing out if you don’t have Glen as your server! My family and I can’t wait to see you again Glen! =]
