I had such high hopes. We went on a Monday night and it was $ 1 taco night; but only if you’re drinking. I was the driver in our group so I chose iced tea and the fajitas. My friend said the tacos were doable. Unfortunately, my fajitas were not. Charred meat at best. The chips were good but the salsa was more like stewed tomatoes with some chopped onions tossed in. Disappointing. Warning: if the winds are blowing DONOT sit on the patio. Two of us literally had our menus fly off the table down to the parking lot below. A gentleman sitting at the next table had two full glasses of water blow OFF(not over, off!) his table! The wait staff simply laughed and said«yes, it can get windy.» Well, we are obviously tourists so that tidbit of information might have been nice and an option to sit inside welcomed. Neither was offered. I might give it another shot during a future visit but I’ll not sit on the patio. LOL

Food is incredibly average for Mexican food. Prices are high. Beer selection is average. Service is average. Combo fajitas yielded exactly four small shrimp. Steak in fajita was really good, though. Was it worth a 45 minute wait to get seated on a Wednesday? Nah.

Food was okay. The Habanero Salsa was the highlight of my evening.

Let me say, the food was delicious — and Devin the server was great. Monday’s are half-price fajitas(well, three of them anyway) and both the steak and shrimp were delicious. I know this sounds like more than a three-star, but we sat outside and we were constantly bombarded by birds! I mean, swooped onto the table INTHEFOOD! We were ducking and shushing and yelling — sort of puts a damper on your relaxing lunch. Is there a fix — I have no idea.

Great food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Price was reasonable and portions were very generous. You get some chips and salsa too while waiting for your food. Staff was friendly. Place is quite warm inside though. Not too good if it’s also quite hot outside. The view was great too, as you can see London Bridge from your table.

Good food and good service. Both the red and green salsas are good! The ceviche is fabulous! We had a messy chicken burrito and a seafood fiesta salad. Big portions!

So, wanted to go out for good food on my last night in Lake Havasu and this place was hyped up by the locals. So, we had to try it out. We had a party of 8 peeps and the server was on point! She got all orders correct, food portions were very decent, top notch service, and drinks were continuous(Margaritas could have been a bit stronger but I drank so much that weekend that I didn’t mind). The place was packed, mostly with middle aged partiers, not college drunks, which is a good sign of quality food and service. We sat on the outside patio so I didn’t really get to admire the interior too much but from the looks of it passing through, seemed very appealing and inviting.

Tinelle was our server, and she went above and beyond! She’s so polite and attentive. We felt very cared for and we will definitely be returning there! Arizona has welcomed us… such a beautiful State with friendly people! Thank you!

Sorry to have so many negative reviews in here. I’m going to concentrate on positive from now on because I’ve just witnessed an all time worst at this place. Wow! I saw 3 couples walk out and one was so mad they comped them their drinks. Walk in, sat at the bar, and waited… and waited… And waited as the bar tender huffed and puffed around. I finally asked if they were still serving and she asked what I wanted with a grouchy voice. Asked for chips and salsa Asked for a menu Asked if I could order Asked for another drink Asked for my check She said to another patron«I’m having a shitty night». Ok, but I didn’t come here to pay for that. Her tip so far: $ 0.00

An oasis is this desert! We are from Portland, Oregon, and didn’t realize how lucky we are to be able to go out to eat and get good service, good food, and have any special request honored until we came to Arizona on vacation. The Javelina is an exception to what appears to be the norm in this part of the US. Our waitress was prompt, just friendly enough without being intrusive, was knowledgeable about the menu as well as celiac disease, and very attentive the whole time. Our food was beautiful. Please see the pictures as I did not use a filter or edit them in any way– the food was even more appetizing than the pics show! My husband has celiac and literally cannot have gluten. Our waitress took this seriously but didn’t make a big deal out of it– just offered the options he could have and he loved it! They had an outdoor area so we could sit with our labradoodle and enjoy the view of London Bridge during our lunch. I’m not saying I’d drive 18 hours just to eat here, but if I ever find myself near Lake Havasu again, I would definitely stop in again!

The Green Chili Pork plate was very good. The service was great. The tortilla chips were warm and fresh. There is a very good view of London Bridge.

Had really excellent meals the 2 different days I went there. Excellent service and beautiful views from the outdoor patio eating area. Will have to try some margaritas next time.

Stopped at Javelina Cantina on a chilly day in January and sat outside under the heaters in order to enjoy the view of the London Bridge. I didn’t even really take a look at the interior décor/vibe but the outside was nice. Chips and salsa were quite tasty; the red was more flavorful but the green has more heat. I ordered one chicken and one cheese enchilada with rice and beans. My companion ordered the carne asada burrito. The enchiladas were yummy, maybe a little overpowering with cheese though. The carne asada burrito received good reviews although he didn’t like that they filled it with refried beans as to take up space in the burrito. Overall it was a nice, quick lunch and our friendly and efficient server made it even better.

It has been a while since coming here! Too long! Staff is excellent! Cody was our server, and a great server his is! Dinner…well we love it! Mike ordered a beef taco and a pork tamale. I ordered my old standby, chili relliano and a beef taco. Mike said the pork actually tasted like pork should! My rellano was so big and delicious, I had to bring half of it home! The margaritas we’re tasty! A not to be missed experience.

I thought this place was actually quite good. Super friendly staff, delicious margaritas, generous portions to make you nice and fat. I was expecting it to totally suck ass, because«the first spot by your hotel» is almost always a terrible choice. Glad to find that it didn’t. The ONE thing I wasn’t happy about: the seven-layer dip(was it six? I don’t know) was mostly just beans. Lots and lots of beans. With a fairly thin layer of «the other stuff». Great if you love refried beans and excellent farts. Not so great if you love other stuff.

We came here because the restaurant on the other side of the road was crap. Very friendly staff, good service in this restaurant! We ordered a steak and grilled salmon. The steak was cooked perfectly, the salmon was a bit to dry. It came with shrimps, rice, vegetables and beans. The taste was okay, but not great.

I have checked in here so often I have earned«The Dutchess of the Javalina Cantina» on Unilocal :-) The food here is always consistent, the service is very very good and the cocktails are wonderful. This last check-in, we opted for a seat in the air-conditioned bar as we had been out and about all day. we were hot, tired and hungry. It was early, around 4 and so were seated immediately. Our chips and salsa and glasses of water came right away. Our server this time was Stephanie and she did an amazing job. I ordered the Taco Salad with shredded beef and it was very good, my husband had one of the combo meals. Javalina is his absolute favorite place to dine in Havasu and so I am very happy to have been able to get there this trip as we are snowbirds and this time our trip was limited to just two weeks. I am not sure how these people do it! The place is always packed after 5 and the servers must burn thousands of calories running to make sure the patrons have a memorable experience. They are always smiling and happy and that is one of the main reasons we will continue to patronize the Javalina. Check Unilocal or their website for daily specials as there is always something going on. Thanks to manager Danny, server Stephanie and everyone else behind the scenes. For a true taste of Havasu, you need to dine here :-)
