Okay on the plus side it is a sentimental favorite for a breakfast stop on one of our mornings in Lake George. If nostalgia is your thing and you like a place that has bucked the trend to change with the times this is your place. For the good– — Probably the best family breakfast place in Lake George — can be argued but great for larger groups — Food for the most part is done correctly and is usually cooked to the customers specifications. — A decently large waiting area, this is really needed for weekends more than anything. For the bad — — Abysmal parking lot and number of spaces on a weekend after 9am are non existent. — Horrendously long wait times on the weekends. Sorry this is your bread and butter so to speak, make an effort to seat more, expand, whatever you need to seat more on a Saturday or Sunday. — They will NOT seat a party unless everyone in the party is there. Really a pain if someone in your party is running late or looking for a spot. — Has not seen any updates or upgraded since the Reagan era. Seriously everything in there can be registered as an antique. All in all not a bad place, just try to avoid the weekends after 9am, and make sure everyone travels there in 1 car that the driver can wedge into a tiny spot.

Go here with a clear mind and you will enjoy a very generous, well above-average breakfast: mountains of fluffy eggs, platters of steaming pancakes, sidecars of sizzling bacon. It’s not gourmet, but it’s definitely delicious and certainly filling. I know of no better breakfast on the lake, and possibly the region. For serious. That said, go here after a long night at one of the Lake’s more pernicious saloons — say, perhaps, Lily’s in Bolton Landing — and you may just experience a miracle. Someone get Pope Francis to the courtesy phone, there’s a resurrection in progress over by the display of stuffed moose heads. I know of no hangover destroyer more deadly efficient than breakfast at the Lone Bull. Drag your carcass here, power through the short wait, and let the sugar, salt, fat, and caffeine flow into you like holy water from a baptismal font. You’ll perk up, improve, and, somewhere around the 6,000th calorie, will be filled with confidence — even cockiness. You will be ready for another day on the lake, and another night on the town. Hashtag blessed, my friends. You can, and will, do this. Let the cow-shaped syrup pourers take you away.

Based on Unilocal and the local Lake George restaurant ratings that tagged Lone Bull as the best breakfast we came on a Late Saturday morning off season. The place was busy but there were plenty of tables. Service was extremely friendly and typical for most places around the area the décor was lodge inspired wood panel walls and carpet. Dated but homey. The staff wore tie dye teeshirts and moved quickly. They only seem to serve breakfast here from 730 to 1 every day and from what I heard they would be closing for the season this weekend. Their motto is «we dare you to leave hungry». We had the following: — Sausage and Eggs: three sausages(seamed liked Jimmy Dean), eggs how you like them and three smaller buttermilk pancakes. Very solid meal and definitely hefty for 7.95 — Short Stack of Chocolate Chip Pancakes: Two big buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips mixed in and then I added bananas on top. The pancakes were good but not great — lacked full flavor. The syrup was good as was the whipped butter and the chocolate chips and bananas added some oomph. — Side of Corned Beef Hash: excellent with the topped crisped and the corned beef and potatoes mixed well — this was good We also ordered coffee in which they give you the whole pot and it’s hot. The prices were also great but this place isn’t much better then Denny’s. Nothing wrong with that but it wasn’t from scratch or anything. None the less you can’t go wrong for the price.

We visited on our camping excursion to lake George. I saw all the reviews which made this a solid establishment and we Ventured away from downtown to go here it’s not far at all. Wait was about 20 min and the service inside was fast and spot on. Food was excellent. It was breakfast and I know it’s hard to mess up breakfast but I got eggs Benedict and from what my family got the ingredients were fabulous and the flavor was there. I recommend this if you are in lake George area. I will visit again. And they get5 stars from me because their coffee was THE best I have had in months. I tried to find out what coffee it was but couldn’t. And they use real cream Not the non refrigerated one. If for anything go get a cup of joe and you will see what I mean! ENJOY!

The breakfast is good but it’s pretty pricey. I wanted a veggie omelet and you have to pay .75 per vegetable and if you want cheese. Omelets don’t come with home fries so you have to get a side order. Overall the food is average for what you pay.

Located right on Lake Shore Drive, Lone Bull offers a short but sweet menu that includes everything you would expect from a breakfast place at an affordable price. The old but classic rustic atmosphere gives each savory meal a homemade touch that is served by a warm and welcoming staff. Other than the ten to fifteen minute wait during busy hours, Lone Bull is a great place to start your day.

Crab Benedict was awesome! My daughter loved the m&m pancakes and my husband didn’t leave hungry. First friendly waitress in town.

Amazing place for Breakfast food. My only concern is that the place gets packed fairly quickly, so to avoid the whole debacle, I would try to get there early so that you dont have to wait for a seat. Other than that this place is great. I had a short-stack of chocolate chip pancakes and they were perfect! Definitely coming back to this place.

Back again and ordered the French Connection It was delish! eggs, thick french Raisin toast, and fresh juicy sausage. no complaints here! They leave the coffee carafe on the table so you never have to wait for a refill. Service is excellent too.

Really busy on a Sunday but the wait was only 5 – 10 minutes. Food was good the usual you would expect from a breakfast place. When you order coffee they bring you the whole pot, that’s a little excessive if it’s just for two people but if your a whole group it makes sense. I would recommend this place if your looking for a good amount of food for a decent price. It cost us 30 bucks for the two of use, that was with coffee and two make your own omelet entrée.

Oh my gosh this place is disgusting. Just completely disgusting. Everything was undercooked and gross. It was thrown together, poorly thought out and just plain lazy. Great waitstaff but eating here will literally put you at risk for getting sick. Ugh.

I’m not sure why this is the highest rated breakfast spot in town. We tried to eat here at around 10am on a Monday and couldn’t even get into the parking lot. The narrow, windy street leading up to the restaurant was already packed with cars. We decided to try another time. The parking lot was about half full on a Tuesday at 8:30. We went inside to find a nearly empty restaurant. We walked up to the register like the sign said to give our name and the number in our party but the hostess had just left to seat someone else. 4 or 5 young women who work there stood around chatting until finally someone offered to help us. By the time we left, the restaurant was about half full but there were only a handful of spaces left in the parking lot. Go early, or plan to park elsewhere. A half-hour wait is acceptable on a busy day but meaningless if you can’t find parking. This place is huge, with plenty of seating. Our waitress was great — friendly and attentive. We ordered coffee, eggs, hash browns, sausages and the cinnamon raisin French toast. The coffee was very burned. We got a whole pot at our table for $ 2.69 each, but who wants to drink that anyway? The French toast had a cream-cheese-frosting drizzle that was not in its menu description(I would have ordered it on the side) that didn’t fit the dish for me. The toast itself was undercooked and mushy in the center. It had plenty of raisins but no discernible cinnamon flavor. The hash browns were delicious, the scrambled eggs were tasty, and the sausage so-so. Portions were generous. There is a sign on every table describing a $ 1 upcharge on items 1 – 15(almost the entire menu) due to avian flu and the increase in egg prices. I don’t think this applied to the omelettes — perhaps they are made with egg beaters. You can buy your own«real» maple syrup(as opposed to maple-flavored corn syrup) for $ 3+ for a tiny(1 oz?) bottle, but it’s the very sweet, Grade A, light amber syrup, not the richer Grade B syrup with a strong maple flavor.

Amazing food and great prices. We also received excellent customer service too. Normally I’m not quick to believe all the hype when it comes to restaurants and places but this place is legit. I can see why they won best breakfast spot two years in a row. If I visit Lake George again I’m definitely coming here! :-)

Great food, our first time here. This place is hoping! Be aware, a full stack and short stack are plate size pancakes. The only difference is full = 3 pancakes, while short = 2. Very fresh food and excellent service. We are definitely coming back. Just make sure you come early to get a seat especially for large parties.

Best breakfast in the Lake George area! I’m very very particular, and a lot of the restaurants up here are sub-par mainstream American. This place totally changed my attitude towards upstate NY fare. Awesome.

Perfect breakfast spot. The food is good, the service is great and the prices are reasonable. I had corned beef, two eggs and three buttermilk pancakes. Everything was great. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their food too. Lone Bull has this thing where they dare you to leave hungry or something. Anyway, the waitress said if we weren’t full they’d give us more pancakes on the house. I was very full so I declined but 3 guys I was with accepted the pancakes. I thought that was a pretty awesome thing Lone Bull has. This establishment is very hospitable. I would absolutely come back here.

Some friends and I stopped by this place during a camping trip(there was a general craving for ‘real’ coffee). During the weekend there always seems to be a wait, but we figured it must be good if so many people were willing to wait. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, and when we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our waitress Shannen. Orders around the table ranged from steak and eggs to a Belgian waffle with ice cream. The pancakes they serve are big and very filling you can get one mixed in ingredient, like chocolate chips, and another on top of your pancakes, like banana slices. The steak was perfectly cooked and probably was the best breakfast steak I’ve had! This is the type of place that WAITS for you to cut into your steak. The eggs were okay, and the home fries were well seasoned. Other dishes were more forgettable, like the Belgian waffle which tasted identical to all other diner joints. All in all it’s a great place to stop and grab some breakfast – especially on a camping trip!
