This place has so much potential but it’s just okay. First off the staff is so friendly! Everyone working there always had a smile on their face. As for the food, you have the option of getting something that’s already cooked — think of a cafeteria line where the food is laid out in front of you and you can pick three items OR you have the option of ordering from the menu. I was so hungry and didn’t want to wait so I ordered from the buffet bar and had some blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and french toast. Bottom line, the food was just average but the atmosphere was really homey(It somewhat reminded me of a sushi restaurant — not sure why).

Wow. My expectations of this joint were already low from the reviews and seeing the crappy iHOP knockoff blue paint but this place should be closed down. A prison mess hall has more appeal and friendlier staff than this place. The french toast had an awful after taste. Be warned

Food is good and fast. No servers you have to order on your own. They DON’T serve tap water requiring you to purchase, therefore would NOT reccomend

Horrendous. This place used to be great 10 years ago. They should be embarrassed to unlock the doors to this dump now. Should have known by the fact that they don’t have wait staff as well as having a sign by the door listing OTHER places to get breakfast in town that they have simple given up. Menu claims all fresh ingredients yet they are clearly unaware of how to cook them nor do they know what seasoning is… Steer clear of this place.

If I could give I stars I would. There is no service just order at a counter and wait for someone to bring it to you. All of the food was a la carte and over expensive for mediocre food. The coffee was almost$ 3 for one cup(not included at with any meal) and they had no Splenda for people who don’t use sugar. Avoid this place at all costs. This was the most awkward breakfast place I have ever been to in my life.

Please save your money!!! Lake George Diner up the road and although I’ve never eaten there I’m sure it’s better!!! There’s a disclaimer on the door before you enter stating they’re trying to be more economical and like Panera Bread no longer employing waitstaff… wait…is this a restaurant??? This place is the definition of what is wrong with America when business owners try and cut BIG corners with their businesses. If I wanted to serve myself with mediocre food I would have stayed at the complimentary breakfast the hotel offered. I can’t imagine this place will be open next year. I would have left if I didn’t feel bad about the girls working there looking so embarrassed when they handed us the menus and told us when we were ready we could go order our food.

Looks a little sketchy on the outside but don’t be afraid, food is fresh and tasty prices are reasonable. We Ordered eggs over easy with bacon and potatoes fir 8.95 just order your food at the counter and take a seat enjoy your coffee food is delivered to your table hot and fresh, we were actually going to visit a buffet style restaurant nearby, but as we were going into that place a customer leaving said, food no good food logo so we went back to Lake George pancake house and it was very good

Horrible. I figured despite the reviews that I would try it out for myself. Big mistake. The French toast was too salty, the coffee was horrible and the bacon was undercooked. Overall, not a good place. Would never recommend.

Do not think for a second that this is a good option for breakfast. 2 adults 3 children equaled $ 65.00…don’t wait for a waitress because one is not coming… order and pay up front cafeteria style then wait for you mediocre food to be delivered on paper plates with plastic utensils. Cheese used in the omelets was those plastic wrapped single slices that don’t really melt. Pancakes were rubbery and chewy. Kids got chocolate milk that was served pre poured in a six ounce cup… don’t you dare think there are refills… wife and I wanted coffees so we took our paper/Styrofoam cups for a walk across the restaurant to self serve… DID I MENTIONTHATTHISWAS $ 65.00??? Only good thing about the experience is that I was able to warn a party of 9 that the place was horrible and they got out without getting ripped off like I did… one star because it is impossible to do ZEROSTARS!

Absolutely not to eat breakfast for first time in Lake George. Over priced horrible food. Your better off at McDonald’s or if you just need to get something to eat in a emergency.

Are you kidding me? So disorganized and weird. You walk in they hand you a menu but you have to go to a cafeteria like line to place the order. You can do the buffet or order from the speciality side. We went speciality. Ok bizarre but we forge on. We get our coffee, milk and OJ. The portions of OJ and milk are ridiculous. 6 ounces max for $ 2.75. A big ripoff. The cutlery and the plates are paper and plastic. Yup! Paper plates and they gave us plastic utensils. Is this a luau? Bizarre! The only reason I’m giving it two stars is the peanut butter & banana French toast was really good. The rest of the breakfasts were more or less standard fare but generally good as well. Not cheap at $ 50 for for either but keep in mind $ 6 was just for two beverages as well. Very odd place overall and will keep on trucking next time.

You’re better off going to McDonald’s. What a dump. My waffle breakfast resembled something from a badly maintained buffet. Plastic silverware. Paper plates. Plastic cups. Awful.

Worst place to eat. No waiter service, expensive prices for bad food, and no free refills on already expensive and underfilled 4oz beverages. Food was also served on paper plates, SOLO cups for drinks, and plastic silverware. Appears to be under different management after comparing to last years visit.

For a place called the Pancake House the pancakes were fairly average. Mainly a place for breakfast. We got there close to closing time, so the staff was busy trying to get us out of there, but I have no complaints about the service. Prices were on the high side. We sat toward the center of the restaurant so our view and the ambiance were not the best. Not a bad place, but there are better options near by.

Decent breakfast. Very local and cafeteria like. You are greeted and seated with menus. You place your order an pay at counter(cash only). Get a number placard to place at table and food is delivered. Very overpriced for breakfast. Many options are a la carte I had the egg, bacon & sausage crêpe. Came with hash. Was good. $ 13.95. For the area I think we could have found a better place to eat but was the last meal before hitting the road.

Highly overpriced! Our breakfast for 4 people was 70DOLLARS and we didn’t get anything outside of what would be considered normal! Coffee is 3 dollars. My omelet was 12 bucks AND it didn’t even come with toast or home fries. But wait, if you want egg whites it’s 4 extra dollars. Maybe, just maybe, this would be tolerated in a fancy NYC establishment, but not Lake George. And in NYC, at least the eggs would come with home fries and toast. As for the ambiance, I felt like I was eating in a mess hall. The owners should consult a designer and get out of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I have it 2 stars because the food was average.

Really long wait for food that really just wasn’t worth it. It smelled like Hollister and to top it all off the pancakes weren’t really anything special. Frozen taste to them. Thanks to this place we had a great breakfast — At the Olé Post Grille

Woah. Ok. Pancake house. My husband got a western omelet which they didn’t know how to make it so he said what he wanted in his omelet. Then I got blueberry pancakes and my almost 4 year old son got two pancakes. Half side order of bacon and sausage. We got two juices and a chocolate milk. Pancakes were not that good. No flavor. Just dense. Bills pancake house in California was amazing. Those are real pancakes. Our Bill came out to 48 bucks. I have never spent that much on breakfast before. Here’s the kicker. They must know they’re expensive but they tell you to take menu up to counter to order and pay and then the waitress will get and serve your food. If you do it that way you save 15 percent. I made my husband do it that way so we can save money and it didn’t look like it saved us much. Sorry pancake house we will not be coming back here.
