Seriously. Do not eat here. We were coming back to lahaina from a long drive later at night. We called ahead to see if we could still order dinner. We were told we could order until 10 pm. Upon arriving at 950 the staff told us we were too late. The manager happened to walk out and told us we could be seated. The waiter was the rudest I’ve ever seen. He essentially gave us the cold shoulder the entire meal and was extremely short. We were afraid to ask for more drinks or napkins and had to scarf down our meals and leave. Advice to management. Make sure you and your staff are on the same page for when you do and do not stop serving.

The Corporate office needs to do a better in training local staff on how to apply activity vouchers to guest checks that are split. The food was ok

Yuck! Bad food! Save your money. Not a good value. They were out of many beers, lots of flying insects. Just not a good value, played all 80’s Muzak. Out of food items. Will not patron again, really a shame used to be such a fun place with a lively bar. They were not busy, everywhere else on Saturday night was jumping. Sad

Even on a busy night we got our food very fast. My whole family enjoyed the coconut shrimp.

Okay so the hostess did not have the mostess. She was the worstess. She was rude and we were not the only family that thought that. Now the waiter forgot everything. He was most definitely high. The food was okay but it could have been better

This place has alway been over price for ok food. I do enjoy looking at different pieces of rock and roll history.

Food — Pretty good, but expense. At least for us locals it was expensive.
Music — Way too LOUD. You have to shout to talk to the person sitting next to you.

We had been here several times before and it was a good experience. It is sad to see a restaurant go downhill so fast. The manager sat at a table doing paperwork in the middle of the restaurant. The waiter called him over to ask him what oil the fries were cooked in (we had someone with food allergies) and the manager was rude… he basically told the girl she could eat lettuce (which wasn’t the case). Service was slow, no water refills and the food was poor. One person ate one bite and said the chicken was like cardboard. Go somewhere else!

Great service and the view is phenomenal… Right on the beach and that sun set view is perfect! We sat outside by the beach and could not ask for more… Had ordered the sampler combo (big combo) chicken strips chicken wings onion rings and artichoke spinach dip… So delicious… I tried the pomegranate margarita and the hubby had island brew blonde light beer… Get the 20oz and get a free souvenir glass from em and it has Maui on the glass… They also have a retail store inside. Not too expensive but there is great service here. We ate the trio of Bbq ribs and shredded pork and Bbq chicken comes with coleslaw and baked beans and french fries. It was so much we shared for two adults. The parking in the area is not free so make sure u validate ur parking. They will do it for you.

This place… First of all, we (my husband & I) did not even eat here. We saw some friends that happened to be visiting the island, so we stopped in to say hello. They were seated in the bar, in the corner. We were just going to say hello for a moment, not even 5 minutes.

A cocktail waitress, with hot pink spiky hair, came over and seemed extremely agitated and RUDE. She pretty much yelled at us and told us that us standing there was a fire hazard and that she had to go tell her manager. We told her we were just saying hello and were on our way out. She stormed off huffing and puffing into the back. This waitress was SO RUDE. I was a server in the past and her attitude was unacceptable in the service industry. If you don’t like your job, then you need to find a new job…

Not be unnecessarily rude to patrons at your establishment. In a professional environment, whether you are having a bad day or not, you act accordingly, and put your personal issues aside. She came back out with her arms folded and a manager at her side. The manger that came out was very kind and understanding. She greeting is with a smile and we were on our way.
The whole situation was just completely unnecessary, all because the waitress had a, excuse my language, a piss poor disposition. I’m not really big on the touristy areas of the island, but in my opinion, an establishment dealing with a high volume of tourists should probably have more friendly & welcoming staff. That waitress was just awful, NO aloha in her. I would not EVER return or recommend this place.

Wer normalerweise totaler Fan von HRCs ist, wird sich hier wahrscheinlich nicht so wohl fühlen. Also ich hab es zumindest nicht.
Ich habe es sogar zwei mal probiert, weil ich dachte, das erste Mal sei ein Versehen.
Naja, also beim besagten ersten Mal, kam der bestellte Burger einfach nicht. Irgendwann ist der Barfrau aufgefallen, dass sie die Bestellung gar nicht aufgegeben hat. Sie hat sich 10 mal entschuldigt, aber ich hatte keine Lust mehr. Auch weil der Strawberry-​Bazil eher lustlos zusammengerührt war.
Beim zweiten Mal bekam ich den Burger, aber auch der sowie mein Getränk waren wieder langweilig vom Geschmack. Auch kann man hier statt Pommes nicht Salat bestellen. Schade.

One of the worst dinner experiences ever. Poor service and even worse food. Waiters are forgetful and slow.

My Husband and I have been to Hard Rock Cafes all over the world and this one is the worst by far. We sat at the bar and there were tiny bugs climbing all over, I looked down and the floor was covered with all of these mite looking things from the floor not being cleaned in days it seemed. We ordered the chicken wings which came out under done. Lastly I wanted the Bob Marley charity shirt it did not have Maui on it and I was told that since they didn’t have any and it maybe 2 weeks before they come it I could not even order it. Why buy a hard rock shirt without the city? I will go back before I leave the Island to see if they have it. I would have gave this place one star but the staff was excellent. This was a total let down because we love Hard Rock and often seek them out.

nice view if you sit next to the window, great for sunset view. food is ok, servers are nice and friendly.

We were in town waiting for our dinner reservation, when we found ourselves in the outlet mall. Needing to kill some time (and with a killer sunset), we settled on this place, as my feet were tired. We were seated quickly and provided with a view (as we asked for).
Staff: while the staff was pretty nice, they were sort of forgetful too. Maybe it is the aloha spirit (yay!), but we had to ask for things more than once. And. .. the staff didn’t seem that happy. While that isn’t horrible, it is sort of depressing while on vacation in Maui at a super chain location.
The ambiance is SUPER cheesy, but well, you know that going in. I actually yipped when I saw a pair of angel wings worn by Fiona Apple (yes I’m old) in the back. It’s fun in a touristy way and the car hanging from the ceiling helps that. I’m not a fan of the souvenir section though bleeding into the dining section. Maybe I’m a separatist?
Drinks: My husband said his whisky tasted funky and watered down (not that he would care because he isn’t a huge drinker, but still), but my wine was fine. What was odd though? No prices were on any of the menus!!! If we were on a budget, that would NOT have not be cool.
Overall?
Cheesy but fun ambiance.
Distracted service.
Overpriced drinks.
Amazing view.

Had a not so good experience at the Hard Rock a couple years ago was a little hesitant to go back but to my delight this go around they were fantastic the wait staff Pinky and the dude with the Mohawk were awesome and love what they do we had several different cocktails that were delicious and had a great time in general the food coming out looked delicious

Daddy and Daughter trip. My daughter wanted to go to hard rock for dinner. We got seated right away, the server in the beginning was good, but then she went from good to bad. She stopped coming around, she walked by my table many times and never stopped by to see if we needed something. I had to get up and get my own refill on drink. Manger never comes by either.
Now Erin at the shop was very nice, caring, and helpful.

I visited here about 8 years ago on our honeymoon and wanted another visit. 1^st time was completely memorable. This time not so much. First, we stood in the entry way for almost 15 minutes before someone acknowledged us. It was 30 minutes after opening and only one other party seated in joint.
Our waitress took our drink order (6 people) and our drinks came out in chunks about 5 minutes apart. We ordered an appetizer that arrived to the table AFTER all our main courses arrived. Our food came and we had to ask for forks as our food sat in front of us. After watching our server walk past about 10 times we just got up and grabbed off another table. We were never offered drink refills, even for water.
The food was just OK. The fish fajitas not worth $ 26. The most asked about «haystack salad» that got brought back was dry, flavorless, and lacked serious lettuce! There was about 15 pieces of lettuce and the rest of dish was stuff. Stuff we asked for on the side, never came out.
Overall the atmosphere was good, loud music, good décor. Food and service seriously lacked.

Not sure what’s happened to the Hard Rock? Went there for lunch yesterday. There was very few people in the restaurant, yet it took a long time for everything.. It took a long time to be seated. It took a long time for the waitress to greet us and take drink orders, it took a long time for our food and it took a very long time to pay and leave. For a while there I felt as though they were holding us prisoners.

Dragged the kids around Lahaina and they picked Hard Rock for lunch. I haven’t been too impressed with HR in other cities, but I heard them wanting something they were more familiar with.
The place was not busy at all so we were seated right away. It’s across the street forum and has a widen view of the ocean, so it’s airy and tropical in feel.
We all loved our dishes. Mac&Cheese and cheese burger for my tweens, massive Texan burger for the older one, I had the fresh local fish sandwich. All really fresh and filling. We started with the nachos, which was a huge and delicious appetizer.
I would say it was a nice surprise to great service and really fresh food from a chain… Service was really great, too.

Started off bad from the get go. Ordered the ceviche, like we do everywhere, and it appeared to have had NO fish! Seriously. We think we could taste the fish, but couldn’t find it. All we could find was tomatoes and onion. Haven’t been in about 15 years and I won’t be going back. Needless to say, we left and went elsewhere for dinner, which wasn’t the plan.

We were in Lahaina visiting and saw the Hard Rock and had to stop. Located on the main street sort of hard to see as it’s part of a shopping center. We were just going to stop and get a t-​shirt but, decided to go ahead and have lunch. We ordered the Hickory Smoked Chicken Wings to start and they were very good. We wanted something different so I ordered the Grilled Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta and my wife got the Twisted Mac and Cheese. Both very unusual and very good. The drinks were cold and the service was good. Nice place to stop.

Why only three stars overall? I have very good memories from this place.
The waiter was cool, the place, you know, as usual: TV screens with old music videos that you are so glad to watch again, and rock-​themed featured objects everywhere.
Except, in this one, you can look at the sunset directly from your seat, and that’s what, in my opinion, makes it so great.
The prices are not bad, and we got one of these cocktails where you can keep the glass as a souvenir. Everything tasted good from what I remember!
I think you should definitely give it a try if you are visiting… especially at the end of the day. We had a magnificent sunset!

We choose this location for our August wedding reception and had an all-​out terrible experience. The server was unorganized, unpleasant, dispensed dry & inappropriate humor, and failed to meet the basic needs of our party, such as sustaining our water glasses. There are many, many details that made our dinner at HRC a bad experience, which I detailed in a 10 paragraph letter to management. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to send it til about 8 – 10 weeks after our experience, but I figured it would still be helpful for them to know what went wrong. I’m also a firm believer in giving the business the chance to remedy the situation, before using the loudspeaker that is Unilocal.I added an extra star since they at least sent gift cards to us as a way of apologizing.

Pins, pins, pins, pins. That was my purpose today. Kirk was very friendly and patient with me and I appreciated his help in letting me know which ones were more rare or unique.
Overall, happy with my purchase. And will probably be back next year. I hope Kirk will be there again.

Located in Lahaina on Front Street with an ocean view. Walk in and wait to be seated in an open lounge. Their located in the outlet mall so if you need parking validation they do so. Service was slow and there were hardly anyone in the restaurant the last time we visited. Drinks took forever to come and the food took a while too. Not to sure if I we’ll be back for a while. One thing they give kama’aina Discount. So show your ID.

The GM of this establishment Rede is an outstanding individual!
My wife. and I visited the Hard Rock on a bit of an off day but Rede did everything in his power to make things right.
Maui could use more GM’s like Rede and I’m sure we will make it back to the Hard Rock in the future.

Hard Rock Café is a fun chain. I enjoy finding them throughout the world, and they make it easy to get Christmas presents for my family, since they love the pins and t-​shirts. I’ve been too Hard Rock Maui several times since it opened. It has a great location on Front Street with a very pretty view to the ocean towards Lana’i.
The food is good, and they have a wide variety of food available for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, they serve Pepsi products. Aside from that, everything was very good.

Fun fun fun… Great views. Sweet servers and greeters. And great happy hours… Mai Tai for $ 5 and they were pretty strong two and half price on some of the pupus. And, early happy hours starting @ 2pm.

I’m a fan of the Hard Rock Café and have been to them all over the world. This one was not too impressive. Our waitress was nice but the food took forever to come out even though there was hardly anyone in the place. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich was underwhelming. Just not that great or flavorful. The place itself is a good location by the water and the outlet stores, also lots of cool décor like any other Hard Rock Café. It was good to stop here but not the best food.

We needed a place for lunch that we could sit and enjoy a view, and have some drinks and food while we wait for everyone to show up, as our family group of 14 were arriving on 4 different flights.
Our server Archie was great. A true character, but good memory, and good recommendations.
The food was nice, typical Hard Rock food. Massive portions of course, and decent value for Maui.
I took off 2 stars because the manager who was working the desk at the front on 20 Feb at noon was a real jerk, he does not belong in the service industry. He asked how many in our party, and as I was trying to count how many were coming vs. how many were here, he rolled his eyes and asked again impatiently. Then as he was taking us to a table, I saw two friends who were already on island sitting in a booth on the opposite side of the restaurant, and asked if we could have the tables over on that side, and he rolled his eyes and sighed and said «sure, I guess» while looking up at the ceiling. If we all hadn’t already agreed to meet there, I would have told him to shove his attitude and left.
Thanks to his attitude, we didn’t go back the rest of the 15 days we were in Lahaina.
