Gorgeous landscape and architectural design. I always felt so tranquil gazing out the huge windows to nice Cali breeze and trees. Lots of seating available inside and out. Wifi for students and telecommuters. Staff is friendly and helpful in clarifying menu items. This location will be greatly missed, as I am now in AZ.

As a long-time Starbucks patron, I was hesitant to step out of my comfort zone and give Peet’s a try. So glad I did! Much friendlier service, better espresso, excellent pastries; I can’t say enough! I’ve officially ditched Starbucks and am committed to Peet’s!

The Havana Cappuccino is my favorite! Get it either iced or hot. They’re both delish either way! I have yet to try their other types of coffee.

Definitely a Peet’s devoted fan. Have been since we lived in SF. I really enjoy coming into this location, wonderful group of people that work here!

Quality roasted coffees without tasting burnt, local vibe and great corner location with outdoor seating make this a go to spot if you’re seeking an alternative to coffee equivalent of McDonalds.

I love Peets and have spent thousands on gift cards, beans, tumblers, kcups, everything you name it. However this location has been the worst experience ever out of all the 20+ Peets I’ve been to up and down California. It was quiet when we came in with no customers in line. The cashier, older woman with short hair, had the worst attitude and grimace on her face with no smile the entire time. I spend a lot of money on gift cards to get the free drink card every time and gave it to her to apply it to my Large White Iced mocha half sweet which has worked at every location with no rude rebuttals but that’s what I got from this lady and she changed it to a medium drink which I did not want and proceeded to be very rude about it! In addition, the young barista with long brown hair did not even look at me and smile when handing the drink over on the counter which is not the typical customer service I receive at a Peets and would expect this whole entire experience to be done at a Starbucks! Never coming here again! 0 stars Peets Laguna Niguel

I really like this place and the staff are all wonderful. The place is clean and under great management. The only problem I have with this place is the recent increase in the number of homeless people hanging around. In particular there are a few who take advantage of the kindness of the staff and loiter around;for example there’s this homeless woman – living in her car – whose name, we think, is Carey. She always stops by and occupies a table or two without making any purchase. I’m as soft hearted as the next person, but I propose that Peets modify its policy and start charging, say, 50 cents or so, for hot water etc. I hate to see this nice place turn into a homeless refuge. :(

Located in the Trader Joe’s shopping center near Cinepolis is a great and more consistently good alternative to Starbucks in the next center over. They have a small, but cute courtyard for outdoor seating in addition to the handful of tables inside. The workers have always been pleasant and service oriented and my vanilla latte is never bitter. :)

If Starbucks turns your stomach into a blob of battery acid then I recommend trying Peet’s. I have heard some people call it a Starbucks knock-off…couldn’t be further from the truth since Alfred Peet taught the trade TO the Starbucks’s founders and sold them their first year’s supply!!! Starbucks decided to go in a different direction and focus on mass production of a beverage versus quality coffee like Peets. Peets maintains a commitment to quality beans and there are a lot of people who work hard to bring us the best of the best. On that note, the manager of this location, Vikki Bennett is one of those people. She cares… A LOT… almost to a fault. Vikki works hard and is basically always on call in case anything goes wrong. The people who work under Vikki really strive to make amazing coffee and are super knowledgeable about the various roasts and flavor profiles. Liz is always there with a huge smile moving the line and crafting up drinks that scream«FLAVOR!» and not«MILK» like so many I have tried at Starbucks. Peets is a place that specializes in the darker roasts due to Alfred really favoring the way it brought out the bean’s complexity to the distinguished palate. I recommend Ethiopian fancy beans. They are said to be grown organically but aren’t «certified» organic because of the cost to the Ethiopian farmer. Understandable, right?! Anywho– Not to dog on Starbucks, I will still go for tea or merchandise if I have a gift card but I just love love love the atmosphere and quality of THIS Peets. Go in and taste the difference. Tell them I sent you.

I really like this coffee shop. I’ve been to this location several times and it is always clean and every employee is super friendly and helpful in explaining the different drinks. They sincerely are happy to help and I can tell that they enjoy their work and customers. Plenty of inside and outside seating and you are more than welcomed to stay as long as you like to catch up on your reading, school work, or to socialize with friends. There is enough space between tables to have some privacy if you wish. It has a relaxed feel that I enjoy!

I was recently at Peet’s this past Sunday and discovered they have music from 1:30 till about 4. Better yet it is our local high school kids playing Jazz. I think it great that these kids spend the free time they have doing something they love and that Peet’s supplies the venue. Good job Peet’s! Not only to you have the best coffee drinks but now you provide an even better atmosphere than most places.

I truly love Peet’s coffee, they have one of the best coffee. I’m pretty disappointed at this particular location, they must’ve change management and employees. They never have fresh brewed green tea or black tea. It’s been a couple of times that I’ve come here and they never have it ready. If I go to the one in Laguna Niguel is always ready and the Laguna Niguel store is very clean and people are super friendly, as far as Dana Point Peet’s they’re not very friendly and tea is never brewed on time. Good luck on that one!!! I’ll have to keep going to Starbucks and the Peet’s in Laguna.

What a really great space to drink coffee. Some problems: A lot of the specialty drinks like the milk chocolate almond mocha are cloyingly sweet and could benefit with less sugar. They also need some type of toaster or microwave on site to heat food items for those of us who don’t want to eat things at room temperature in the morning. The bakery items are superb. They have some difficult to find pastries like kouign-amann and caneles. The caneles are especially well-done.

Nothing special. Better than Starbucks. This particular Peet’s deserved better than average rating because the staff was nice, informative, and very professional in the way they prepared the coffees. I know it’s not something that most people look at, but I always watch what care and precision is put into the drinks and these guys did a great job.

I“m always greeted with a friendly smile at this Peets location. I love that there is seating both inside and out. The baristas want to make sure that you are happy with your beverage, and if your not, they will make it over again for you. I like my lattes made with almond milk, a choice you have here, and not offered at other coffee places. The place is clean and creamers are always available at a clean counter. Get on the email list, to get special offerings. Today, coffee drinks were 50% off after 12 noon. A great deal when you need an extra caffeine boost in the day:-) I’ll be back!

It’s been awesome getting to know this store and its employees. On my free days I often come here with my laptop to study with the help of a handcrafted traditional capuccino or just a cup of coffee. Sometimes it’s just nice to have someone make a excellent cup for you, you know? The store itself is clean, bright and open with a breezy patio — lots of seating area. Baristas are attentive, speedy and firendly with great coffee knowledge to share. Presspot and pastry samples are often available to try! Thanks Peet’s Laguna Niguel for legendary service, I love spending time here.

I do love Peet’s. Best coffee of all the chains. Definitely a great roast. Most of the seating is outside. I get the impression it is a meet up place for those in the local area or a before/after the movie pit stop. Great service too! Thanks!

Love the fact they offer Almond Milk… the biggest reason I go here verses Starbucks. My favorite is a medium Vanilla Almond Milk Latte and shake some cinnamon on top! Yummm! Always friendly staff. …I still have to get use to putting the cup lids on myself… where Starbucks always does it for you. I would give it 5 stars. .but there have been a few times in the morning when I walk in and it smells of bad B.O. Kind of ruins that fresh smell of coffee. Love the location and the outside seating area is great!

Peet’s is the expert on coffee in my book. Every drink is crafted to perfection and the staff is trained do pull the perfect shot of espresso. The mocha is not too sweet and you can actually taste the coffee. This location is in an entertainment center with restaurants, movie theatres, Trader Joe’s, and fro-yo. Bathrooms are in the common area, not inside the café. The bottom line is, this is a Peet’s and it’s good. The staff at this location could afford to be more inspired and care more about their customer interactions. But I don’t really care that the barista and cashier have dull affects. As long as I get a good quality product(and that’s always the case here), I’m a happy camper.
