The food is pretty gross. It reminds me of cafeteria food or even TV dinner. I felt like crap after I ate it. My stomach had a very uncomfortable bloat after I ate this. The service is great, friendly staff however the food is just not good. Will not be coming back.

Ew! The Sunday paper’s coupon ad made the food(ribs and chicken combo) look SO good. But it was SO disgusting(and SORIDICULOUSLYEXPENSIVE – for fast food: $ 15), that I felt a sick feeling in my stomach for 2 – 3 days. After eating the food, I felt like throwing up. Every item tasted pre-cooked and then reheated — not at all fresh. In fact, the ribs were SO slimy, overly-sauced, and SO overcooked that I felt I was«drinking» them rather than eating them!(Is that food?) It was SUCH a nasty, overpriced meal, I wonder how Boston Market stays in business. If you can avoid Boston Market, please do so at your body’s health’s cost.

Even after 10 years, this place is still here. The food’s still of the same quality since the last time I ate here. They have a Coke Freestyle and external seating. No one was sitting outside during our visit. There’s a side exit to get out there. As of the time of our visit, there were a lot of indecisive people in front of the Coke Freestyle attempting to decide what to get. Luckily, there’s also an iced tea dispenser next to it. As opposed to the Tustin branch, they will offer to take the plates to one’s table, but it is not required. It’s better when we can’t decide where to sit.

I didn’t realize this was here until yesterday. It’s not co-located with all of the other restaurants at this shopping center, but rather out in the perimeter, nearer the street. What’s different about this location is that they have a drive thru and it moves fairly efficiently, based on my one experience. My husband loves this place, but my vegan diet didn’t find anything so one meal to go for him was it. The half chicken meal(#1) comes with cornbread and your choice of two sides. The side options are numerous ranging from mashed potatoes with gravy, creamed spinach, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables and many more. This was $ 9.17 with tax. Everything had a good taste. He was concerned that the chicken might have been ever so slightly undercooked, but as it wasn’t truly pink I think it was okay(it’s a fine line, I’m sure, to make sure chicken is sufficiently cooked, without being overcooked). It was interesting that the half chicken was not cut into individual pieces; just sort of «perforated», but still very challenging to separate into pieces to eat. Sides were tasty(mashed potatoes/gravy and mac/cheese) as was the cornbread. Service was friendly and efficient.

Great home style food. We have the half chicken individual meal. The chicken is well seasoned and tender. The price is great! My only problem is the utensils, they are always either wet or have a residue on them! So drive thru is recommended !!

Yummy food. Great service. They need to add a family night deal on Mondays and they would be perfect. Bottomless chicken noodle soup is a good deal.

Consistently good comfort food. Taste like home cooking. I enjoy going there regularly and the coupons help with Sat evening meals when we’re too tired to cook.

I love Boston Market. …normally went there Saturday evening and they were busy went through drive through, young lady very nice explained to me that it was going to be 10 min wait for the turkey dinner, I finally got it but to make long story short they didn’t anticipate all the buy one get one meal coupons, place was backed up I understand it being Saturday night and all, it could have been handled better, still love the place, they should re-think on how to handle the coupon situation gives it a 3 stars this time around

Bursting with flavor chicken from skin to the bones! My favorite sides are the mashed potatoes, chicken tortilla soup, mac n cheese, green beans and the apple with cinnamon. The staff are very nice and attentive. I love their chicken, it’s the best compared to any other roasted chicken from the stores, even better from bbq restaurants out there.

Horrible !!! I wanted a quick healthy bite to eat and thought this may have been a good place. The chicken had sooo much fat, both sides of veggies were cold. Honestly, I was going to take it back and get my money back but was not in the mood to discuss and ruined my day. Never again Boston market. You get one star cause I can’t give you zero.

Boston Market is great! Me and my wife had the quarter white chicken and 2 sides. The dinners were excellent. I tried the Honey Habanero sauce and it was one of the best sauces I have ever tasted! Boston Market is always good. I will be back for more. Thanks.

I love Boston Market. I always get meatloaf. I have tried eating meatloaf from the frozen section in a grocery store and also store bought from the neat section. I never liked any of it. But, I have always loved Boston Market’s meatloaf. For sides, I get Mac n cheese, which is always good, and the mashed potatoes and gravy. The mash potatoes are always good. Next, the cornbread. I love the cornbread! I have tried making cornbread at my house, and it never works out. But this cornbread never fails to disappoint! The soda machine is one of those modern machines where there are dozens of option in one big machine. It’s really cool. They also have smoothies coming from a machine. By no means are they smoothies that you would get at Juice It Up or Jamba Juice, but they are icy and pretty good. Also, The staff are good. They always offer to take my meal to my choice of a book or table, which is really nice. Overall, I always stick to my meatloaf but the ribs look really good. There are many sides to try and you really can’t go wrong at Boston Market.

It pains me to write this review because I was a big fan of the food at Boston Market, however after what I witnessed today, I’m rethinking my loyalty for Boston Market. I went in earlier this evening at 9:15pm to have dinner to go. I went in for a Chicken Pot Pie but unfortunately they didn’t have any available. I asked the guy working the counter if there were any pot pies available and he said it would be another 15 minutes. I told him that I would wait. He offered me a drink while waiting, which was very nice of the guy to do that. While I was waiting I like watching the workers and watch how they operate. Tonight was not a good night for Boston Market. I witnessed a guy behind the chopping counter, wearing a white t-shirt and an apron eating out on the floor where customers could see. This same guy then wiped his nose with his index finger, spit some food out in a nearby garbage can, and then wiped his mouth with his hand. He then asked me if I had been helped, I said yes I was. The guy working the drive through told him that I was waiting for the pot pies. So the cook went to go check on them, thankfully the pot pies were not ready yet. He had then taken another bite of whatever it was he was eating and walked out a back door of the restaurant. I asked the drive through guy if it was normal practice for employees to eat on the floor while at their works station and I told him what I had witnessed. He then asked if I would like to speak with a manager about this. I said yes. I told the manager about it and he had told me that cook I was referring to was on a break but all the cooks wear gloves so if he had wiped his face with his hand he would have gotten oil and grease on his face because of all of the oil and grease that builds up on the cutting utensils. I asked the manager if he video tapes what goes on in that area he might want to check the video footage. I also told the manager the one I was referring to wasn’t wearing any gloves at the time and the person who was currently working there now cutting the chicken, is also not wearing any gloves. I then told the manager that I was no longer going to wait for my order and I ended up going someplace else to eat. It’s really disappointing to hear that Boston Market has a policy of the cooks wear gloves but it obviously is not being enforced.

Boston Market has the chicken figured out. It has the tastiest, moistest chicken all the time every time. This is my sons go to place on nearly a weekly basis. The sides are delicious. Sweet Potatos, Mac and Cheese, Loaded Mashed Potatos are great. Good quality for a fast low end budget joint.

Stopped in for lunch at the Laguna Niguel Boston Market on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was relatively busy. No line upfront, but the drive-thru seemed to be keeping some of the staff busy… They have a display up front full of what I call«Thanksgiving food» that I only really tend to eat at Thanksgiving; mashed potatoes and stuffing, cream spinach and mixed veggies, squash and sweet potato casseroles, cheese macaroni, cornbread, turkey and gravy… Of course Boston Market are known for their rotisserie chicken and I had to partake. After I was eventually greeted I ordered the half chicken meal, which came with two sides. I got stuffing with gravy and mixed vegetables, and it came with a side of cornbread. The staff member who helped me was very hospitable and friendly, but the one thing that struck me as odd was their reluctance to wear plastic gloves while preparing food… The staff member packed a to-go order for a lady in front of me, made cash change, then prepared my order using tongs on to a plate, made cash change again, and walked the single plate to my table without a tray. I’m not a germaphobe, but most fast casual restaurants use gloves when preparing multiple orders of food. At least wash your hands or use a tray when serving, which, by the way, I’m not 90 years old and fully capable of walking my own food to the table… Nice touch, though. As for the food, the stuffing was cold and the veggies under cooked — just like your aunt or sister-in-law would make them at Thanksgiving — but the rotisserie chicken was out of this world good. Unbelievably tender and flavorful, even the white meat was succulent and juicy, and I ate every morsel. Pros: The rotisserie chicken and pleasant staff. Cons: Use gloves, if only for appearance sake! If Boston Market is open on Thanksgiving or Christmas I may come back. Perfect place to go if you’re alone for the holidays and want a home style meal but don’t have the home to eat it in… If not, I’ll more than likely be back if I’m craving some great rotisserie chicken and sweet cornbread.

Depending on what I’m feeling I usually get mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac & Cheese, or mixed veggies. The food is always hot and taste good the chicken is juicy and always good! This is one of the few Boston Markets left in the OC area so definitely hit it up!

Laina received a 20% discount on her receipt(after filling out a survey) when she ordered an All White Rotisserie Chicken Salad Carver on a whim. This brought back some memories of when Boston Market first opened near us in Irvine and how at one time during the early 90’s there seemed to be one on every corner. The menu has changed, one noticeable difference would be that ham is no longer on the menu, if my dog Goliath was still alive he would be beside himself. I can still remember one of the first times we went to Boston Market, we bought a pound of ham and a whole chicken with some sides which would mean a couple of night of eating in, brought our feast home, sat it on the counter and went upstairs for no more than a minute. Returning downstairs, we could hear the crinkling of tinfoil from the kitchen and entered to find our 90 pound Alaskan Malamute licking the tinfoil that had once contained our ham. He hadn’t shared a bite with Athena our Siberian Husky(any Malamute owner can tell you sharing is a foreign concept to the breed) and she just had this horrified look on her face. Apparently, Goliath had managed to get far up enough on the counter to haul the ham down to the floor. Rohlinism: Never underestimate the determination of a hungry Malamute! All these years later, we still laugh about this incident. Even though Boston Market was very successful by all accounts, the costs of expansion exceeded their profits on just 13 years into business, they were forced to file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in 1998. In 2000, Boston Market was purchased by McDonalds’s Corporation which originally wanted it for the real estate, but discovered the chain was still marketable and continued to operate it until 2007 when it was sold to Sun Capital Partners. The first return visit after a long absence, I decided to order the Pulled BBQ Rotisserie Chicken( ) with a large side of their Cinnamon Apples( ). My wife had her standby Rotisserie Chicken Salad Carver and a large side of Sweet Potato Casserole( ). Fortunately, in over 20 years, they have not done one thing to their sides and they are very good. Both dishes are sweet, without being too sweet and you get a good potion for the price. Laina thinks the chicken salad is very good, definitely all white meat(she would know otherwise) and the roll is nice and soft. My only complaint about the Pulled BBQ Rotisserie Chicken was the sauce tasted watered down, it added almost no flavor at all. The sandwich size is decent and the roll is good. As a bonus, after we had left, I was going over the bill when I realized one of the sandwiches had not been run up. Opps! There was also a note for a BOGO free on their Individual Meals for the following Saturday. Of course we went back next Saturday, this time I opted for something which was not on the menu back in the early 90’s … St. Louis Style BBQ Ribs( )! The individual meals come with two sides and corn bread. The BBQ sauce was better on the ribs, but unfortunately there was a lot of cartilage in my ½ rack and the meat quality was poorer than I expected. My reliable side were just as good as ever and the corn bread was okay. Boston Market provided honey and butter upon request. Overall, it is basically what I remember from the ’90’s, their rotisserie chicken and sides are definitely their standouts, so if you are going to order from here stick with those items. It is definitely on the better end of fast food.

I still remember when Boston Market was expanding through-out OC like crazy! Now, it is hard to find one. I needed/wanted to grab something to go and take home and I was vaguely in the area, so I stopped in. I got a chicken salad sandwich(combo) which included a drink and 1 side. I chose sweet potatoes and Boston Market’s drink machine is that combo of mix in flavors to your fave, so I chose Mello Yello and added cherry. Drink was yummy, surprisingly my sweet potatoes were very good, albeit on the sweeter side. Think Thanksgiving time and mashed with brown sugar and melt-y marshmallows. It hit the spot. My sandwich was yummy chicken breast, good size pieces with a very basic mayo, celery, onion and s&p blend on a fresh and good size crusty French roll. The combo was $ 9.70 and I felt a good deal for the quantity and quality. Yammies: Sandwich: I do miss that Boston Market no longer has ham, but aside from chicken you can get ribs, turkey, meatloaf, roast beef brisket and pot pies. Sides include standard fare of corn, mashed potatoes, corn bread and mac n cheese, but some less typical additions to the sides are loaded mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, creamed spinach, vegetable stuffing and cinnamon apples. The holidays are coming! Just in case you were not already bombarded by Christmas before Halloween had even arrived, Boston Market has both the November and December holidays covered, whether you have a small gathering or even a large gathering, they do catering. Staff was friendly and helpful and the inside was clean and bright.
