Lake Hills Cleaners

I was looking for a desperate alteration for dress I was wearing to a wedding the next day, and Lake Hills Cleaners’ alterations services saved the day! Their staff was friendly, professional, and even had my dress ready by 1 PM in case further alterations needed to be made (huzzah!). A very positive first experience with great customer service!

I’ve been a regular here for at least 10 years. The owners are very friendly and have recognized me by name since the first few visits, even though I’m in only every other month or so. I’ve never had a a problem of any sort and service and quality have always been excellent. They do hems and minor alterations; and like most cleaners do specialty items like comforters.

I dropped off some pants at Lake Hills Cleaners. When I came back to pick them up, they had a funky smell to them — almost like smoke, but may have been one of the cleaning products. Regardless, they seemed dirtier than when I dropped them off. Additionally, one of the zippers on the pants was broken. I told the man working that it was not broken when I dropped it off, and I would like him to fix it for free. I can’t remember what he wanted me to pay to fix the zipper, but I think we ended on $ 10.
When I came back to pick it up, he wanted me to pay in cash, even though I paid with a credit card the time before. He was on the phone arguing with someone in a different language, so I assumed the credit card machine was broken. I told him I didn’t have cash, and he pointed me to the ⁷⁄₁₁ next door. I didn’t have my debit card on me, and didn’t know my pin for my credit card so essentially told him I’d have to come back and pay later, or he would have to give it to me for free. At that point, he got off the phone and rang me up with my credit card no problem! Apparently, it’s on the same line as the phone, and you can only use one at a time. I was speechless that he was going to make me go next door to withdraw cash just because he didn’t want to hang up the phone.
Overall, very unprofessional and put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. I will NOT be returning.

The owners are very friendly and know what they are doing.
I am definitely coming back for more laundry!

These guys offer very friendly customer service and decent prices. I’ve been here a half dozen times or so and they haven’t slipped up yet. I think consistency is the most important thing in a dry cleaners, and these guys do a good job.
A little bonus: they always have some random concert DVD playing on the TV by the counter. Last time it was like The Who Unplugged or something.
