We stayed for our Anniversary. It is an older hotel, that’s being remodeled. The desk clerk asked if we wanted to keep our double bed in the remodeled area or take a king in the non updated area. We chose the king. The room was large and clean. The carpet was an older design, but clean. Loved the room. The staff is impeccable and so friendly. From the housekeeper to manager they helped with everything. The hotel is only minutes from everything. It is in a decent neighborhood. We will be back.

I came in to Lafayette for a work event and most hotels were already full so I booked a room at Wyndham Garden. I checked into the hotel around 1:45pm and decided to get some work done before the event and around 4pm someone attempts to come into the room but I had the door latched. After trying(it took a bit) to get the door to close back so that I could unlatch, I was told that the occupants of the room had checked out and they were there to clean. Well, that sinking feeling when you have no idea if anything in the room had actually been cleaned or if they just made the bed and folded the towels back hit hard. When I called the front they didn’t seem all that helpful and said«Oh, it just didn’t get checked off.» Ok, that’s fine, but at this point I think a generic statement probably doesn’t fix the issue. I probably will avoid this hotel at all costs in the future. Also, having to walk by trash cans on the first floor because of the leaking is a bit much. I rode in the elevator with two others that stated the last time they had stayed the hotel had the exact same water issue. I suggest spending a few extra bucks and staying elsewhere.

Umm yeah thats a solid no… Creepy, everything is falling apart. Its filthy and rooms look like a cheap motel you see in the movies. On top of that they checked me out a day early while I was at work. when I asked why and where are my belongings no one knew… so here we are sitting in the lobby after a long day at work waiting for the manager find my belongings and where to place me…

Creepy vibe. Clean rooms and nice staff, though the hotel looks like it was a really nice hotel YEARS ago. Rennovations are def needed.

Just didn’t like this hotel. Lobby area had one working elevator, going through some much needed renovations, and our room smelled like sweaty feet. Hallways have the similar smell. Staff is courteous. Other than that, I’ll pass on this facility.

Use this place as a «hotel of last resort» Renovations are ongoing, but not a big problem 2 out of 3 elevators were dead or not dependable. Key coding machine does not work reliably: We had 2 keys for our room. After 3 tries to get both keys working, gave up. Staff was not helpful We had ants in our bed covers. Glad that they did not bite! We only stayed here because the Travelodge on Pinhook was booked.(Planned our trip later than usual.) Travelodge is less expensive, cleaner, and has continental breakfast. Rog

So much better than when it was Hotel Acadiana. It’s still under renovations, but still the work that they have done so far is so much better. I stayed over for the weekend for a wedding, and was so amazed when I got into the room and nothing was broken.

There’s still a little bit of renovations going on, but that really wasn’t much of a problem. The room was clean upon entering and still smelled like bleach, which is something we did not mind. Pros: Comfortable Beds. Very cool air conditioner. Mini fridge. Bench. Table & Chair. Desk & Computer chair. Great Iron. Awesome Water Pressure. Cons: No toilet seat lid. No microwave. We kept the temperature pretty low. I would suggest that they place thicker blankets in the room just to have the option. This hotel is really great and it’s popular for major events. Another thing I would suggest would be for the housekeeping to not be so loud. We were woken up by the banging and slamming of doors. And we were woken up again by the housekeeping knocking on our door twice two hours before check out time. This is really a problem we have experienced before. But other than that, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay at a reasonable price. The last thing is that I would not recommend eating at the Bayou Bistro. We wanted to start our lunch off with cheesecake, but they were out. And I ended up getting the pound cake and my friend ended up getting the lava cake. Both of those ended up being a disappointment. And we all had shrimp po-boys that were not up to par.
