First Class Clutter

I too am a great fan of Jan’s store and have many wonderful things in my home to prove it. However, yesterday I was going to visit the store and saw the sign that said Jan is VERY, VERY ILL from SHINGLES! Needless to say, the store was closed until she’s well. How this beautiful and sweet woman could be suffering from such an illness! Jan is the sweetest woman in the world SO WE MUST ALL OFFER OUR PRAYERS DAILY FOR HER SPEEDY RECOVERY.

I have had the pleasure of knowing the owner Jan for a number of years. Any and everytime I’ve needed help, suggestions or an idea of a unique gift for someone, she never fails. If you didn’t know this she is a master of floral arrangements as well. Make and take the time to visit this store. So cool

If you have time, take a spin in here. Jan, the owner, is so very sweet. There are at least a zillion things to look at in here. Lots of different vendors selling everything from jewelry to furniture. Jan also has fresh cut flowers for sale. So fab it must be experienced to be appreciated. One word of warning, DO NOT carry a large bag or purse with you. There isn’t much room in a lot of the store and you will surely knock something over.

My boyfriend and I found ourselves wandering into this little shop after dinner at the Lafayette Brewing Company, and I am so glad we stopped by.
It’s not just an ordinary antique store. It’s cluttered, but in a good way — not messy, just full. They have a ton of great stuff to look at, and if you’re looking for costume, vintage, or just unique jewelry at a really good price, this is the place to go. I bought two vintage glass pearl necklaces for $ 5!
There is so much neat stuff in here, it’s hard to detail it all. They have everything from vintage handbags/​hats to old medicine bottles — I was able to pick up an old bottle of DeWitt’s Cough Expectorant for $ 2, which I thought was just great since I’m a pharmacy student.
The owner is also exceptional. She’s just about the friendliest person you’ll ever meet, and she can chat with just about anybody.
If you’re into looking at vintage things and just want to peruse, stop by. The best part is they play 1920s music in the store!
