In between ballgames & thought I would come here for breakfast. First game was early enough & with an hr. drive I didn’t have time before leaving home. I knew I could come here and get a great breakfast quickly. Sure enough I walked in & was lucky enough to find a table, they were just about out of seating! Waitress was at the table within a minute. I made my order for ham steak, home fries, 2 eggs medium & wheat toast with coffee. Coffee was on table within 2 minutes & breakfast was here in another 5 – 6. As with every other time I have been here the service was top notch & the food was great & as ordered. I have never had a bad experience here. Great family setting & the waitresses are fun & enjoyable. They treat you as though they have known you for a while.

I went for breakfast to try the B’s & G’s, (biscuits & gravy) and a side of the corned beef hash… just average. Triple X has the best corned beef hash in town.

The food and service here are incredible. Being a southern boy I was a bit skeptical about trying the biscuits and gravy. I’ve had some of the best growing up. But The Country Café delivered. Some of the best I’ve ever eaten. I definitely recommend you give it a try if you’re passing through Lafayette. You won’t be disappointed.

Service was amazing, food tasted great, prices were really low. Overall, we had a great experience. The coffee was freshly ground and freshly brewed. My husband even liked his biscuits and gravy… and believe me, that’s saying something.

The hubby and I love going to this place for breakfast on Saturday or Sunday. The staff is friendly and the food is great. It’s a quaint little place so there isn’t much seating, and it’s in a bit of an odd location, but I’m glad we found it. Best breakfast in Lafayette!
