Great haircuts. Terrible punctuality. The hours say they open at 10, but I routinely have to wait until 11 or 12 when they decide to show up. If you’re not the first person in line expect to wait at least an hour, closer to two. Haircuts generally take about an hour as well for a simple fade. I would never want someone to rush a haircut but I usually get the feeling they are going as slow as possible out of laziness. It’s not uncommon for barbers to stop cutting your hair to reply to text messages on their phone or to watch whatever’s on the television. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any local barbers who cut hair as well as fresh cuts so I’m stuck waiting for a haircut when it’s convenient for them.

I’ve been a loyal customer to Fresh Cuts for years. I always ask for Josh and Maria. Some barbers have come and go in the last few years, but them two are always around. I’ve seen them cut all types of hair from straight to curly — whatever type of weird mutated hair you have, I’m sure they could cut it too. Always consistent, always fresh. I will say my only negative experiences with the place is when A) they have ridiculously long waits(I’ve waited two and a half hours once) and B) I was getting a haircut when the line get long, and I could feel the barber rushing my hair cut(needless to say it didn’t turn out that fresh). But that shouldn’t deter you from coming here — just be smarter about planning your trip here. Avoid peak hours by coming in before noon, and weekdays if possible. If you can’t do that, make an appointment.

I don’t even want to give a star. There was a lady and a 19 y/o. Kid cutting hair both watching tv. And cutting tiny pieces of hair out with the machine. Horrible I left right away. Because he said he was closing at four. With 5 other people sitting down I font think they will make it.

$ 13 for a regular hair cut Long Wait times. But if you are friend with them they will take you no matter you come first or last. So, Favoritism is at its peak. That’s the only downside for this place. Apart from that, they all are super friendly and quality of their work is excellent. Advice; Go after 5pm, otherwise you will be waiting for hours…

So here is my experience, I walk in around noon on a Wednesday. only Two barbers and both busy however all seats are empty. I sit down and about 10 minutes go by and another guy shows up and sits down. About 20 minutes ontop of that goes by and these two ladies show up. Total Wait time so far is 30 minutes, empty seat finally opens up and I assume I am next however nope it’s one of the ladies. WTF?! I feel the lady knew the barber which was also a lady because she handed her a gift plus then another lady that came along started cleaning the surrounding area for the barber. Looked very bad in my eyes like if I got out aside because I am not friends with the barbers or didn’t have a gift for them Now I wait another 20 – 25 minutes and bamm I finally got a seat! However the barber decided to take his time And start playing with his cell phone obviously no rush please take your time Cuz I am only here on my lunch brake. I saw a bunch of comments about how the barbers take their time etc etc however One thing should be have been made clear which is my wait time. Especially when it’s practically dead and I still need to wait one hour! In the end one hour wait by then my lunch had ended and no haircut for me Extremely disappointed.

This place is pretty chill and very popular. Even though I wait about 30 min each visit, it is well worth it. All the barbers do an outstanding job and take their time to make sure you’re looking sharp when they’re done. Make sure to bring cash though because they don’t take card. They have televisions and magazines to keep you entertained while you wait. It is a bit pricey at $ 13 per cut but the quality if their work is well worth it.

Each barber does a great job with their own style. They can get very busy with lengthy wait times as each person generally takes a half hour so either make an appointment for $ 20 or call ahead to see how many people are waiting.

Usually when I go to Valley Blvd, its to get my car worked on, or to get a good burger or some carnitas. However, it will now be the place where I go to get a great haircut. Housed inside of an old gas station garage is Fresh Cuts Barber Shop. This is a street version of your dad’s old fashion barber shop. The music wasn’t blasting at mind numbing volume and the place was very clean. The barbers take their time, so don’t be in a rush when you get there. The effort they put in shows in the results. I watched four guys get four different styles of cuts and each one was done very well. Each cut comes with a straight edge razor trim which is a great touch. Josh did my cut(#5 clippers on the sides and back, scissors on the top, square across the back) and it was done perfectly. After I left, I deleted the name & number of my old stylist out of my cellphone. I will be back to Fresh Cuts.

I’m surprised I’m the first person reviewing this place. Maybe there’s an understood agreement between customers here to keep this place under wraps because it’s already pretty busy as it is. Anyways, this is my spot to get my hurrrr did. I’ve gone to Korean, Armenian, Black, Mexican and even white barber shops(supercuts) and this spot shits on all of them, excuse my language. All the barbers are pretty good but Dillion is by far the best. He’s the bald dude that you might find freestyling at any moment, no joke. For a bald dude he knows his stuff. He hooked me up with the best faux hawk I have ever had and his line ups are on point, like razor shave on point. He does take a long time so if you don’t make an appointment expect to wait at least 45 min for each person before you. Each cut is $ 12-$ 14 but if you make an appointment it’s $ 20. Time is money…
