Don’t let the location fool you; this place is a hidden gem. Sure, you can’t actually enter through the door to the taco shop, so you hafta walk through the kinda sketchy gas station to get to the even sketchier counter to order, but trust me: it’s worth it. I’ve eaten here a few times now, always tacos, and I’ve always been pleased. I can’t decide which is my favorite, the steak fajita or smoked chicken(and oh my gosh, is it super smokey!). A friend of mine had me pick up their chorizo and egg taco for him once and rather enjoyed it. Sadly, I didn’t personally taste it, so just hearsay, but I’m sure it was just as tasty as the others. The tacos are absolutely enormous, too. I made the mistake once of ordering two when I thought I was really hungry, and I instead had both lunch and dinner and a couple bites left over for a midnight snack. Get your tacos ‘all the way’ and you get rice, refried beans, pico, salsa, and sometimes avocado. They’re not the prettiest tacos, since they’re jam packed full and then wrapped in foil, but your tastebuds won’t mind. And, in case you’re like me and are wondering the protocol for ordering and paying, walk in the gas station, hang a left, place your order at the grill area, they give you a little ticket, which you bring back to the gas station cashier you passed when you walked in, pay however you like(or grab any drinks you may want, first), then head back and wait for your order!

I had my doubts about this little place, but boy was this one of the best breakfast tacos I’ve ever eaten, seriously! The size of the taco is nearly the size of some burritos around town. I only had time and the stomach to order/eat 1 taco, since I was about to take my client to lunch 1 hour later, but I’m so glad I checked out this hole in the wall. I got the brisket taco all the way. I also requested the slightly spicy mango habanero salsa to go with it. I added a strawberry Fanta from the gas station cooler, since you have to pay at the gas station anyway. My total was a little over $ 5.00. The first bite I was in heaven, all from the taste and aroma of mesquite smoked brisket. I actually love mesquite smoked ANYTHING! Maybe my mouth had never tasted this exquisite combination before… the last 2 bites of my taco was where I could taste all the salsa, so it was a little spicy at that point. The taco itself reminded me a little of Stripes’ tacos, since I also add cheese and beans to them as well, and the tortillas are also homemade, but the smokiness of the meat adds a whole new dimension. I’ve already told a few people about this little spot, it’s that good. Can’t wait to come and try out more meats.

Very friendly staff, who will turn up the radio when a good song comes on and if the customers approve! Good value for the money. Very tasty Mesquite items especially all the varieties of Breakfast Taco. My only disappointment is that they are closed on weekends, when I would like a pre-cruise breakfast before heading to the Cruise Terminal.

Located inside the Valero. Don’t pass it up just because it’s in a gas station. This place makes amazing food. Owner is the nicest guy in the world. Best tacos in all of greater Houston. Current favorites: Brisket taco. He runs out a lot because it’s so popular, because it’s AMAZING! Beef Fajita taco. A classic, but still amazing. Smoked chicken. He just got a new smoker and thank the lawd for that! These are melt in your mouth good.

This is a REAL hole in the wall place to eat in a gas station. Wasn’t sure if we wanted to eat their food till I took a step in and the aroma said, «OHYEAH!» Place gets an F for decorum. A+ for value. A+ for prices. And a BIG A+ for flavor! I will be going back so often that I will gladly pay rent.

This little place has some good food. It’s located next door to a gas station. Breakfast tacos are da BOMB! Heck I have tried almost everything & it’s all good. This place is small with limited seating so be prepared to order your food to go.

Don’t pass this place just because it’s next to a gas station. The tacos are seriously good, and the owner is really nice. They have a brisket and cole slaw taco that is awesome.

Our work crew goes here most Fridays and gets the Snapper Tacos. They contain large chunks of grilled fish, some shredded cabbage and a magical sauce. The tacos are quite large and two will definitely fill you up. You can watch them make the tacos in front of you. The menu has is limited to tacos now. They used to have burgers, steaks and other mexican dishes.

Best Red Snapper Tacos in town. Try the brisket. I you have a late lunch the brisket may be gone. Sirloin steaks are a weekly special. Hot sauce is hot. Ask for the orange sauce if you’re up for a challenge. I was sweating. Mexican sodas are sweeter and more fizzy than regular. Try the apple soda.

Ok so in my quest for both breakfast as well as my obsession with Taquerias this place fit the bill. It is a little unassuming place next to a Valero gas station and I looked over it many times. Finally I heard from someone it was good so I made a point to stop in on my way home from night shift for some breakfast tacos. It is well lit and very clean inside. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. They have their menu posted on the wall and offer a wide variety of your typical Taqueria breakfast tacos. I went with their specialty«Smoked Sirloin» taco. If you get it «All the way» it comes with beans, shredded cheese, pico, and green sauce. The meat on this taco is amazing. It is large cubes of Sirloin cooked medium. The Sirloin is juicy and tender with a really nice Smokey flavor. I swear there was 8 to 10 oz. of sirloin on this one taco and it is a meal all alone. The cheese is real cheese and the pico and green sauce are fresh but not very hot(spicy). The tortillas are fresh and home made. The tortillas are not to thick and have a really good consistency. Not realizing how large their tacos were i ordered 2 other tacos as well. The tacos are 2.50 to 3 dollars apiece but truly they are worth it due to the size and quality. I also had a potato and egg and a chorizo and egg. The tacos were not greasy and were very generously filled. They also have a daily lunch platter I have yet to try but I will soon. Think of this place as an upscale taqueria and a notch above most quality wise. I have heard on some days the cook will be wearing his chef’s coat and hat(In a taqueria!) For those gringos who are scared of real Mexican food they also offer Jimmy dean sausage and egg tacos or American link sausage and egg tacos also which seem to very popular. Some days they might even have Tamales. I plan on stopping in frequently and will update my review as I try new items. They have a blackened snapper taco I need to try at lunch time for sure.
