A beautiful jewelry store in beautiful La Jolla. I’ve known the family for quite some time now, and would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family members.

This is definitely one of the best places to buy jewelry in San Diego. After shopping around for about 2 weeks looking for a wedding ring I heard about Daniel from a friend that used him before. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and with allot of patients we managed to find the perfect ring in the exact size(surprisingly) and with a very affordable price tag. Also they have a large verity of styles and everything looks high end good quality. Bottom line If you’re looking for a professional jeweler I highly recommend to use Daniel and I’m sure I’ll use him again and tell all my friends.

The best in La Jolla! Daniel Jewelry staff are consistently honest, welcoming, and have the highest quality jewels on Prospect. Definitely the local’s go-to place for a special gift.

Found this store be be very warm and friendly. The sales that were advertised were honored when we looked at watches, and the prices on the rings were very good. We ended up purchasing a very nice watch at a fair price along with a ring my wife loves. The service was outstanding. I would not hesitate going back again.

I really hate to do this but I am really not happy with Daniels Jewelry & Gift and the purchase of my wedding ring! My husband was doing some shopping at the Fashion Valley mall in San Diego for Xmas gifts back in 2008 from Daniel Jewelry & Gift, from the owners daughter. He bought himself a watch and bought me a nice ladies Omega watch with a black face and diamonds. I open my gift Christmas morning and the time was wrong on the watch. I changed the watch to the right time, and when I looked at the watch later the time was wrong again. So I called Daniel Jewelry & Gift and I was told to bring back the watch. I took it back to find out that the watch was not working right. I was told that the watch needed to be sent back to Omega in Switzerland and that it could take a month or more to return the watch back. My husband watch also had to be sent out for repair shortly after he purchased it. I was not very happy that a NEW watch needed to go back for repair, so I told Shoshana that I was going to return the watch. So much for the nice Xmas gift. I understand that sometimes it’s not the stores fault for bad watches. My husband and I gave Daniel Jewelry & Gift another chance. My husband went back to the owner daughter for Valentines day to buy me a Beautiful Tennis bracelet. I also had to take back the bracelet because the clasp was not stay closed properly, Still to this day the clasp is not working correctly. I took my bracelet back so they can repair the clasp and found a beautiful wedding ring set that I just loved. My original ring was fine, but this is when platinum and white gold were popular. My original ring was purchased from a fine craft man jeweler Roberes Jewelry in San Diego, which we should have returned to buy our jewelry from his store, Bad Mistake!!! My husband bought the ring from the owners daughter in 2009 when Daniel Jewelry & gift was still in the Fashion Valley Mall. Then the nightmare started, the ring was white gold and I had my original diamond placed in the new Wedding ring setting. I also bought a Emerald stone to put in my original wedding setting to replace my diamond. It look beautiful with my Diamond on the new ring. After sometime but not long after a small diamond on the single band fell out and the ring was changing color too. I called to let the owner know, but I was told that they are now located in La Jolla and that where I needed to take the ring. I had just moved from San Diego to Canyon lake CA. I planned a girls trip to have my ring repaired and to my surprise I was told that the ring is plated in white gold that’s why it changed color. I asked my husband if he was told that the ring was white gold plated, of course he was not told this by shoshana. I was charged to replace the diamond and to re dip my ring in white gold. I paid for the new diamond and went on my way. I moved to Miami Florida and the diamond fell out again. I called and was told to bring it back again. I was now living in Miami so I could not bring the ring back for repair. I moved back to California and another diamond has fallen out the engagement ring. My husband finally had it, and he called the owner today to explain how we have had nothing but problems with my wedding ring, the owner told him bring it back again, and that the diamonds should be checked every three months. I never heard or have had this issue with any of my other jewelry purchased from Roberes Jewelry in San Diego. I am only writing this review because x mas is around the corner and I don’t want people to be fooled by the great prices Daniel gift and Jewelry has to offer with cheap quality! I think the 75% off is a year long promotion and it should bring up red flags!!! I FORGOTTOMENTIONTHATMYORIGINALWEDDINGRINGWITHTHEEMERALD, THATTHEYPLACEDINTHESETTINGISALSOLOOSE. Spontaneously popped into Daniel’s on our way to dinner last night. Gorgeous, clean, elegant store. Small space with jaw-dropping merchandise. Diamonds everywhere – and big ones too, especially in the window displays along Prospect Street. I noticed – how could I not! – diamond rings ranging from 4 to 8+ carats, a couple monster canary diamonds, and 8-carat diamond stud earrings that would make Ocho Cinco and T.O. cry. And that’s just the tip of the ICEberg. Exceptionally amazing stuff. Went inside the store to check out the engagement rings more in line with our budget and discovered that most of the rings were antique, fussy, Tacori styles – totally not my taste. There were some contemporary styles that were more to my liking though. I was amazed that every ring shown to me had either an internally flawless center stone or a center stone that was nearly flawless. By the way, the sign out front boasting 75% off something – the whole store, certain items, just diamonds, I don’t know – is nothing to get too excited about: the mark up evident on every ring’s price tag seemed insane, and then as each ring was shown to me a significantly lower price(presumably the price tag price minus 75%) was verbally communicated. For example, my favorite ring had a 2-carat, H color, internally flawless center stone in addition to some side stones. That ring carried a $ 75,000 price tag; however, the price given to us verbally was significantly lower and, of course, negotiable further. Very pleasant, non-pushy service. My boyfriend and I enjoyed just about 20 minutes at Daniel’s before we had to leave for our dinner reservations. Definitely looking forward to coming back.
