Driest donuts I’ve had in s long time. Guess I have to start taking Unilocal reviews with a grain of salt. All five donuts were drier than Boston donuts by my house that I know for a fact they made in the morning. Looks like everyone went at a good time and I chose unwisely at 9PM. Will not be returning unless I need a sponge to clean my tub.

The initial reason I ventured to try this place out was because it is open 24 hours. I’ve driven past it a million times, but never tried it until tonight. I pulled up to this place around 11:30pm and immediately got a pretty good vibe from it, when I saw a decent number of people inside, just kind of hanging out enjoying each others’ company. I came for an apple fritter. As soon as I entered, my eyes were immediately drawn to them… they were huge. They looked just right. It seem apple fritters are hit-or-miss, depending on what shop you go to(same with ham & cheese croissants). I took a leap of faith and told the gentleman behind the counter(assume he was the owner) I’d take two. I paid for two donuts and grabbed the bag. I instantly noticed how heavy the bag was. I peeked inside to re-evaluate exactly how big these things were lol. The first thing I noticed was a huge chocolate covered donut in the bag. As I was about to turn to the owner and let him know he made a mistake with my order, I realized the chocolate donut was ONTOP of the two apple fritters I paid for. I looked up to clarify with him that he intended to give me an extra donut. Before I could even say anything, he assured me that it was complimentary! WOW, what an awesome gesture. I am always up late studying… and I ALWAYS have a donut craving. So I can guarantee this place has yet to see the last of me. Little gestures as the one I described really go a long way, especially to a new customer as myself. It was definitely appreciated. Oh btw… I did fail to mention that the apple fritter tasted amazing. It was one of the best I’ve had.

Great tasting donuts any time of the day! They are open at night too! I usually get the ham and cheese croissant in the morning but I came here one night and ordered donuts and they were really good!

Always open when I see it and they carry blueberry donuts! Not a fan of their coffee. But then again, blueberry donuts!

I have to give props to Home Style Donuts. They are always open and their apple fritters are always perfect: not burnt, but crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their old fashioned maples are yummy, too. You can always find a pretty decent selection of donut varieties. They have some other crazy bear claw/pastry concoctions that look good, but I haven’t tried them yet. Fritters are $ 1.45, but worth it. The place down the street sells cheaper fritters, but why waste calories on something not amazing? If you’re going to donut, do it right.

Awesome donuts, especially the old fashioned ones, has to be the best doughnut shop in LH. Always had great service and awesome coffee and it was nice to be able to get doughnuts and ice cream at the same place. Lots of good memories here.
