One time was too many. It was my daughter’s fifth birthday, and I had promised her donuts. She was very excited, and having a hard time deciding. The clerk actually sneered, before huffing and leaving the room. She then told me they only took cash on small orders. When I told her I didn’t have cash(because, really, who does?) she stood there, silently, hand on hip. We were clearly wasting her time, when she could be in the back, hosing something down with a mixture of Febreze, Lysol and Fabuloso.(Did I mention the place smelled FOUL?) I knew if I made my daughter go back to the car to drive home and get cash, she was going to be upset.(On her BIRTHDAY.) Finally, I asked the young lady if she could let my daughter have her two donuts, and just charge me the minimum $ 5 for them, which she(again, silently) did. Horrible. Just horrible.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a lil’ hole in the wall and is FREAKIN’ GOOD!!! We’ve ordered for pick up before and just had some delivered tonight. We had the Kung Pao shrimp, Kung Pao chicken and combination fried rice the first time. Today we had sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice delivered. Both times were AMAZING! I’ve had lots of Chinese food and make it a point to try a new spot everytime I’m in NY(Chinatown). This place is REALLY good and honestly beats some of the places I’ve tried before. The egg rolls are probably the best I’ve ever had. The shrimp fried rice and combination fried rice have so much flavor in EACH bite! It’s SOO good! You have to order a plate of the rice though. I ordered a small side with my sesame chicken and it was just the rice and egg. Not too much flavor but not great. The plates of fried rice, however, are seasoned so well and have TONS of flavor! I hope more people try this place and it stays around for a long time. This by far beats any Chinese place in Kyle and even beats a lot of places in Austin. The portions are HUGE so sharing with food left over should be expected!!!

I ordered a bacon egg cheese biscuit. The biscuit was Ok but everything on was better. I also got an apple fritter. This was the best fritter I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back for the fritter! Everything in my review is my opinion based on my experience. Ok today I tried the Chinese food cashew chicken it’s fresh delicious and the portion is massive.

I didn’t eat here, I just rode along! I heard the donuts are much better than the kolaches. I can say there is a drive thru, amazing smell, and quick service!!!

We have been coming here for years. The service is always friendly and they always give extra donut holes with any pastry order. My kids adore their glazed blueberry donuts and their cinnamon rolls are my favorite. They are huge. the size of a plate. The prices are reasonable and worth the wait if you end up in the drive through line.

We saw the big signs that said a «Chicken Buffet» and so we actually thought it may be, gasp, a fried chicken buffet,(Southern Style?) until we got closer and saw in the window«Chinese Food». This place caught our eye with their bold signs, so for that, they are doing something right. The advertising is a little off though. We had to enter in on the pastry side. I saw the drive through window. That was pretty interesting. We went in and examined the buffet. There was no chance that I was going to try that. It honestly did not appear to be appetizing. We skipped that. We did, however, see the kolaches, which looked good but just settled on some donuts to try because we did not want to be too risky on a place we had never been to. They have these long donuts that are twisted. They were dough-ey, fresh, and had no sugary overkill taste. They were fantastic. They were like how donuts should really be. They deserve the whole 3 stars. Their prices are very low. The lady working the register was very nice! I just take away 2 stars because they sell so many different things off in there, between pastries, kolaches, and a chinese buffet, it can actually be confusing but if it works for them, good deal! If you know anyone who likes donuts or pastries of any kind then this is your place as far as Kyle goes.

The best donuts in Kyle by far! Great ladies give fast service, and you get a couple donut holes if you are nice! Better donuts and better local friendliness than the new Shipley’s, and you don’t get the attitude. Avoid Shipley’s and get real hometown donuts! Mmmm! I also have had the Chinese food. The décor is that of a donut shop, and it is certainly not high end Chinese, but it’ll get you by in a Chinese food craving. I had the Singapore Noodles and they were pretty good. Go out of your way for the donuts, go for the Chinese if you are craving it.

I had better donuts, but I do like the glaze donuts the best from their choice. Iff you order anything from this place once, order the Kolaches, they are wonderful. Now for the Chinese food, don’t bother, some people may like it, but I would rather go hungry or eat their Kolache. I think that is why that have the extremely hot sauce, to kill the taste of the food. I know when I tried the chicken noodles, I need to put a lot of sauce on the place to kill the blandness, or was it to provide taste?

To be clear, the first part of the review is for the donut portion of this business, which does both donuts and Chinese(scary?). The donut shop is about as simple as it gets, and it beckons back to my childhood where I remember random trips to the antiquated donut shop«Karl’s donuts» in Angleton, TX. Good donuts. Old building. Tasty artery-clogging goodness. Drive through window available. Chinese food review: yes, they also do Chinese food. Hmm. Well, my family and I gave this a try as a dine-in experience. The food was mediocre. I ordered a chicken pad thai that looked very unappealing. The lighting in the place made all of the food look very yellow and unattractive. The taste was«ok,» but really nothing to write home about. The service was really bad… the tables are numbered, and our waiter kept bringing our food items to the wrong table(and there were only two diners in at the time). Long story short, the lovely town of Kyle only has one Chinese takeout place: Kyle Donuts. So… do yourself a favor, and order takeout… if you must order at all. Or… just drive your lazy arse up to Austin and get some real food.
