Had a wonderful private yoga session with Thias and my three BFF from college. She was so spiritual and I loved the Ashtanga method. Lots of good breathing and meditation. Thais was punctual and really had good energy. It was a high light of our trip!

I was recently fortunate enough to be in Kauai for two weeks and participated in a number of Thias’ classes at the Sheraton. She is a really gifted teacher, with a depth of experience and real insight into her students, which is really difficult in a resort setting where as a teacher you end up with a mix if real beginners, experienced and even pregnant students. As an experienced yoga practitioner I still learned much from her and felt appropriately guided and challenged, but noted the care she took with the less experienced students. It was a real pleasure. I would strongly recommend Thais to anyone looking to do yoga in the Poipu area.

My husband and I had the pleasure of attending Thais Ashtanga yoga class while staying at the Sheraton Kauai. What an amazing instructor– so happy– she makes her classes the perfect blend of both release and effort. I have a regular vinyasa practice and she was able to give me insightful tips at the same time she was able to assist my husband, who is newer to the practice. We both thoroughly enjoyed attending the 8:30AM yoga class at the Sheraton, right on the lawn, beach front, with the sounds of the ocean waves crashing in the background. Thais is a great instructor and we are so glad we were able to benefit from her classes!

Thais Repetto is an amazingly gifted Yoga Teacher. Her style is Ashtanga. Many people at the gym(Island Gym & Fitness, Hanapepe) had kept coming to me and saying that this class with Thais had changed their lives. I was really hesitant so I waited about 6 months before I made time and made it my intent to try Thais’ class in Ashtanga Yoga. Don’t wait as long as I did to experience this wonderful human being. Although I am Indian(Asian Indian, not Native American) and have tried yoga before, I decided that I did not need it in my life and«working out» would suffice for me. I had also been persuaded by some of my religious peers not to take any yoga classes because it was spiritually«bad.» The experience I had with Thais was anything but«bad.» I had stretched kinks out of my body, had greater realization of my body’s aches and pains and I even felt taller after I left the class. I had a new awareness of my breath and being in the present. Thais is completely relaxing and challenging at the same time. She does not believe in making yourself stretch till you have pain. She prides herself in allowing her students to hear what their bodies are telling them. I am completely blessed to have found her on this small island. She really knows this practice well and is very kind to her students. With her Brazilian accent and pursuit of joy and happiness– you don’t want to miss this instructor. She also teaches yoga at the Sheraton, Poipu, Kauai at 8:30am. You can book her class at the Beach Activities for only $ 15.00. Thais offers private lessons at reasonable rates. Mention you found her on Unilocal! Book sessions at
