Regency Resort Condos

I found this location through
Dealing directly with owner was drama free and they required a very small deposit and I secured my dates six months in advance. The condo complex is a multi building property located in south shore area of Poi Pu, Kauai. Two story building and we got the bottom unit which is probably around 1500 square feet, very spacious. No air conditioning in this unit but it was hardly missed. The 3 lanais located in the master bedroom, 2^nd bedroom and living room served very well allowing a natural breeze all night. This condo came fully furnished and that is no understatement. Just imagine the owners walked away for the duration of your stay and left it fully stocked with all living necessities less refrigerator items and your own personal clothes. I won’t go into detail but this place is rock solid awesome and we’re glad to be here as oppose to a Hotel environment. We have a few more days left and we’ve had a great time with local beaches, land excursions, meeting friendly folks, a super fantastic luau on the beach and most importantly, the breakfast and awesome dinners we have had in our rented condo. The bbq in the pool area has produced some good late night meals. Also as a added bonus, the owners furnish the unit with everything you need to make your beach visits that much more easy, really!

Six of us stayed and it was really comfortable! Close to a lot with great info provided on the best things to do! Definitely a great place to stay!

Looks like I wasn’t the only one that they owed money to and had trouble getting a reimbursement. See other reviews on trip advisor.
I’d hate to say «I told you so», so do you research and don’t book with them!

This was a perfect place to call home for our week on Kauai. We had four of us staying in a 2-​bed, 3-​bath, plus loft that we found and booked through
(listing #341 141) which could have easily accommodated another couple. Very spacious upper level condo with vaulted ceilings and modern furnishings and all the accessories we could need and more (fully equipped kitchen, docking stations for iPod/​iPhone, free wifi, washer/​dryer, spa tub in master bath). It came out to about $ 300/​night after all was said and done. You’re about a 5 minute walk from the beach and from the Hyatt. Our home away from home was paradise.

Seven of us stayed at these Regency II condos (4bed/​3bath) as a way cheaper alternative to the Hyatt Regency down the street. If you look at the website, these are the condos, NOT villas, which are less expensive and probly not as nice as the villas. It’s basically an apt, with some nice parts and some parts that could use improvement.
The Good: fully equipped kitchen and refrig, dishes, utensil, barstools and dining table, comfortable beds and living room, beach towels available, washer/​dryer, near the beach
The Bad: Upstairs bathroom/​shower old and didn’t feel clean, furniture is a little dated, no daily cleaning service so you have to reuse towels and take out your own trash, only 2 tvs (living room and master) in the whole place, why did our coffee maker have a hella molded old filter in it!!! Makes you wonder what kind of cleaning job they do…
Overall, not bad I guess for the price (~$ 400/​night, sleeps 8); I guess we can’t expect much for Kauai. The Villas seem nicer and more updated so go for it if you’re willing to pay alittle more…
