Stopped in for lunch about 2pm. ordered Mushroom Swiss Burger plain w/Bleu Cheese dressing on side and Fries .also a Barnyard Burger w/Fries. They both came out very quick as if probably precooked. They were not very hot, just warm. Mushroom Burger came out with Lettuce Tomato and Mayo sent it back .the Barnyard Burger was burnt on edges. Re-do came back was edible but still not hot. Fries were cooked dark brown and hard as a rock. as if double fried. This is my second bad experience with this location. Both times the owner was not on premises. I know he cares about things but apparently his employees cut corners when he is not there. The West Knox location is 100% better.

Great burgers and fast service. Located just off Broadway in Fountain City TN The meat wasn’t as done as I would have liked but the flavor was perfect

Best burger on Ftn City. Yes including Littons. Also better price point. Service is always incredibly friending, enthusiastic, and helpful. Other food items are outstanding as well. New location is open, bright, and airy. Also patio area is very nice. Want a great burger, sandwich, et… Try Sam and Andy’s in Ftn City.

Great place to grab a quick meal. Pricing is fair and the staff friendly. Overall I’d say the food is above average for the price.

Although the food was good, it is unlikely that I will return. I finally ate at this restaurant after wanting to check it out for a while. I love the Farragut location and used to love the original. I went with my mother and brother on a Wednesday evening. It was around 8:30, and I knew they probably would close pretty soon, but the sign said open and I saw no posted hours. We ordered, got our food shortly after, and again, it was pretty good. But an employee came and cleared our table, clearly rushing us. I don’t care for this, but I let it go as we were the only ones there, and we were leaving soon anyway. Then, at about 20 after nine, while waiting for my mother to finish a brief phone call, the same employee asked us to leave! We would have been gone in a matter of minutes anyway, but that really ruined the experience for me and I won’t be returning any time soon. It’s not as if it were midnight, when you close at 9:00 pm, in addition to clearly posting your hours, you should expect that occasionally customers will be there a little after closing. One thing is for sure, when I spend nearly 30 $ for 2 burgers and a grilled cheese I expect a bit more courtesy. I guess my business didn’t mean that much to them, so I’ll take to Farragut where I’m ALWAYS treated like I matter.

WOWEEE!!! Today we ate at Sam and Andy’s and experienced a great, knoxvillian experience. Food was fresh and fast. Everyone had large smiles as they enjoyed their meals. In reality, Sam and Andy’s is very comparable to the type of lady you’d want your folks to meet. Not necessarily going to surprise you with any new moves, but it’s very cozy at home feel will last a generation. It’s no mystery unicorn ride, but it’s good enough for a dentist! The SECBURGER is top notch. The poor reviews here can be simply chalked up to a whole buncha Tennessee fans being upset about how they’re stuck in a conference where they’re going to get rolled every year by everyone.

while having lunch there recently with co-workers, I watched them bring a burger out to the guy at the table next to me. He lifted the top bun off and said«nope, this isn’t mine» The server then took it back over and set it in the service window, waited a minute and then brought it to me. I guess he assumed I had not seen him bring it out and someone else handle it. Needless to say I did not eat it and will not be back. How much trouble would it have been to swap it for a clean bun? Really !

Disappointing. Food was just ok. Service was slow and sloppy. A bad day? Maybe.

As someone who experienced the old Sam & Andy’s near the UT campus back in the 1980s, I was sorely disappointed in this place. It is dark and dingy, a sad echo of what once existed. The place had hardly any customers, and is located in a strip mall near a grocery store. The sandwiches are still pretty good.
