Perfectly average American cuisine with average environment and average staffing. For a very above average price. Would really be more appealing at a discount.

Good food, but strangely non-friendly service. My father is missing his left arm. When he asked that the kitchen cut his burger in half to accommodate his disability, the server and the manager flatly refused, stating that they were too busy to do special requests. We were taken aback by this attitude and won’t be returning. Follow-up: after the manager was adamant that Littons would not cut any hamburgers in ½ under any circumstances, the burger arrived cut in half. I really don’t understand who trained their management staff or what might have happened«behind-the-scenes» after my wife spoke to the manager. Also, $ 60 for three burgers seems a bit on the high side.

Ahhhh Litton’s, I dream about this place. Excellent burgers & fries & onion rings. But the best part is their dessert menu, which is ABSOLUTELYAMAZING. Coconut Pie, German Chocolate Cake, SWEETBABYJANE(their version of Strawberry Shortcake that is my personal favorite), Italian Crème Cake, Strawberry Cake, Brownies, Cookies … I could go on and on about how fabulous everything is. If you’re in Knoxville make sure you EATHERE !!!

Okay all you Littons fans, grab a tissue and chair and sit down. Im ’bout tuh hurt some feelings. Tonight was my 3rd try at this place, and it was no charm. The value here is just a huge miss. I’ve been for the hot lunch with a visitor from out of town. Everything we had was blah. I’ll give the beans and cornbread a «solid performer» rating. But the rest needs improvement. Went back for the«best burger in town». Another huge! letdown. The meat was good size and quality, but had no seasoning and was cooked beyond my request. The bun was old and dry, just like the atmosphere in there. The fries were the best part. That and a drink. So long, $ 20! Tonight I wanted some hot home cooking. Their dinner menu. A staggering 4 items. Chicken breast, rib eye, schrod, and a chopped steak smothered in snails… um…I mean, onions. Had the fish burger. It was so dry and bland I thought it was a giant breaded saltine cracker. The baked potato was so old it was yellow inside. And cold. Had to hurry home because I was soon to see that $ 20 one more time! The baby boomer gen has lowered the bar and convinced themselves and others this place is good. I pity them. They just don’t know what good is anymore. On a positive note, the service is always good, and if you like cake and pie, you may not notice all the mediocre this place excels at. Some day, the only thing they’ll be feeding, are all the crickets chirping in the parking lot.

My husband took me here as I had to try the meatloaf. We went around lunch time and the parking lot was packed, but the waiting area was empty. We waited for a few minutes and were given a seat. My husband and I both ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, salad, and I wanted a roll he got cornbread. Our waitress was attentive and fast at getting refills of our drinks. After we ordered it seemed like ten minutes had passed and our food arrived. The meatloaf was amazing, and I am not a huge fan of meatloaf. Everything we ordered was really good. No issue with price or service. Everything was amazing. My only regret is that we didn’t get a piece of cake before we left.

I am on love with this place. The food is incredible. They do the best sweet potato waffle fries I have ever tasted. Grilled cheese, burgers… its all wonderful. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. We had their version of strawberry shortcake and it was to die for. Last time we went Mr Litton was there and I got a photo of him and my husband. Mr Litton knows all of my husbands relatives.

We love everything about Littons. We haven’t had a single bad experience, service or food! The homemade blue cheese dressing is amazing and the potato wedges are always hot and fresh. I don’t even want to get started on dessert… divine!

Litton’s is a place my family loves to go to. We went to dinner there tonight. It wasn’t busy so we got seated right away. The host was friendly & our waitress arrived quickly. She was also friendly. We got our drinks, salads & crackers quickly. Litton’s has the best blue cheese salad dressing in town. My family loves to dip crackers in it. The salad was excellent. Our meals arrived quickly. I got the grilled chicken breast with french fries & a dinner roll. My mom got a baked potato. It was all great. You can’t go to Litton’s without getting desert. The selection is amazing. They’ve got all sorts of cakes & cookies. We always get at least 1 pack of their chocolate chip cookies. Litton’s is a good place to go for good food & service!

Seen the sign on this place«since 1946» and HAD to stop in. boy, im glad I did. You walk in and all you see is baked goods. I’m talking big pieces of cakes, cookies, pies and homemade breads. This is my weakness– Got the coconut cream pie. It is amaaaaazing. It’s light and fluffy and full of coconut! Now THIS is pie!!! Great crust. Awesome goodness. Talked to the guy and gal behind all this madness and they told me the strawberry cake is the best, which by looking at it I would agree. I didn’t try it because it’s alittle too heavy for me right now and I’m craving a good piece of pie. The chocolte chip/chunk cookies are excellent! I can see why this place has kept on goin on. Gonna have to come back and try their food. Their whole cakes are $ 52 and their half cakes are $ 26. $ 6.99 for a slice of cake. They even sell whole pies.

Good food! Daily specials a must try. The dessert menu is extensive. They grind the meat so if you like your burger medium this is your place. Onion rings are great!

Litton’s is a Knoxville staple that’s known for their burgers but in my opinion the burger left much to be desired. My friend and I both ordered cheeseburgers and we both felt the meat was dry and overcooked. We both remarked that it was missing something but couldn’t quite put our finger on it. The onion rings were hot and delicious and the coconut crème pie we ordered for dessert was out of this world. I would only return to Litton’s for dessert, not a full meal.

A local favorite that is a must-try. Simple menu, vintage feel. Burger and fries are their staple. Burger was excellent, rivaled by few. Fries were average at best. Fun to have the experience of a hometown hero restaurant, but if looking for a better burger and atmosphere with more variety try Stock and Barrel.

Littons, you get five stars because you are practically famous. Your dessert case is brimming with ridiculously huge, mouth watering, tooth ache creating, pound packing sweets of all sorts. The clientele that dine at Littons are representative of Knoxville and truth be told, you never know whom you may run into. Heads up, however. This is a burger joint. They have other stuff and you can order it, but people come to Littons for burgers, not for salads like I ordered. The restaurant is quaint simply because the set up is a bit awkward. Service is as expected… down home. You must be okay with«ya’ll honey child darling sugar pie». In all seriousness, if you live in KTown, just go. Don’t debate. There is no debate. Set a date and dine at Littons, at least once. You cannot live in Knox and remain clueless about this Fountain City treasure.

Apparently known for burgers, but mine was boring, and bland. Then the server stiffed me on my request for silverware so I could cut it in half. Their hand cut fries were very tasty, a redeeming menu addition that saved me from the uninspiring burger. They have this orange-sicle cake that’s out of this world delicious.

I’m sure that this place was pretty good but it was a miss when I went. I liked how you write your name on the board for the wait to be seated. We had a party of 10 and it took about 20 min to be seated. We went on a Wednesday around 2pm. It took another 15 min before we even placed out order. My daughter had a happy meal box because she brought her toy in and one of the workers told us we couldn’t have it and he would be happy to throw it away. I told him I would rather take it to my car so I though that was pretty rude. We were on a time limit and with the wait to be seated, and waiting for someone to take our order taking 35min and another 15 – 20 min to get our food we ended up just getting to go boxes and took our food to go. Food was okay, would have been better to eat there but definitely plan on spending at least 1 ½ hours to 2 hours there.

While visiting Knoxville, I was given a suggestion to try this place, so I did, and I’m glad I did. They had a wait, but we were given the option to sit at the bar(not a drink bar) with no waiting, so we did. At the bar, you had a view of the kitchen, so you could see items being prepared. The server was super friendly. We had the blue plate special, so there was little waiting. This particular day was meat loaf and two sides with roll or cornbread. For my sides, I had the greens and the mac n’ cheese with the corn bread. Everything was fresh. The greens were definitely fresh and not from a can, like so many places serve. The mac n’ cheese was creamy and topped with extra cheese. The cornbread was homemade. The meatloaf was also delicious topped with a little ketchup and plenty of brown gravy. The food was delicious, fresh, and homemade. The price for the plate lunch was $ 11, which is fair for the quality. We didn’t eat dessert, because we were stuffed. However, their desserts are on display, so we drooled while looking at them on the way out. At first I thought the desserts were too expensive($ 6 or more). However, the slices of cake were huge(easily enough for 2 or maybe even 3 people). If you need a quality plate lunch, this is the place to go in Knoxville.
