Wife and I each ordered the same entrée, fried fish and shrimp with a baked potato and side salad. Nothing stood out as particularly special. The salad lacked freshness but it didn’t taste old either, the fried fish was sort of soggy and not very flavorful, baked potato just ok, good sized shrimp but again almost soggy not crisp. … Again nothing really wrong with this meal but nothing especially right about it either. I would say our fish and shrimp were probably sitting under a heat lamp in the kitchen for awhile hence the lack of fresh tasting-ness. Service was ok. Overall quality of this meal pretty typical for the cedar lane/merchants Rd restaurant chain north knoxville restaurant scene; average everything. …

Ask for Patrick! He’s fantastic, friendly, speedy and efficient. We got sat, and almost immediately Patrick came to greet us. He got our drinks to us right away, and they were both specialty drinks which traditionally take longer. Our food was hot and came out quickly. Patrick was all together excellent. Complete and hardy recommendation.

Last night was my first and last visit to O Charley’s on Cedar Ln. I ordered a filet mignon and got hamburger helper. The steak was not consistent throughout, had some well done spots and some medium spots and had an awful burnt flavor. The green beans were cold and waxy and the baked potato was sans salt on the outside. On the plus side, I asked for a military discount and received it-a whole $ 1 off a $ 40 ticket. Oh, and they made their $ 1 back by adding a scoop of ice cream to the pie and didn’t mention it would be extra. The service was kind of slow, but the server was nice. I still won’t be back. I should have just shoved the money down my throat, it would have tasted better.

Satisfied Again ! Good service and great food. My wife had Santa Fe Talipia on my recomendation. Same quality as I remembered it. Fluffy, fresh white fish with nice grill flavor on a bed of tasty rice pilaf, topped with fresh-chopped salsa. Let me tell you folks — there is a definite difference between restaurant supply salsa(read Chuy’s Mexican Restaurant where it is inexcusable) and fresh, house-made salsa here. I spooned some of the salsa — the tomatoes were sweet and not watery, and the cilantro and onion played a sweet song in my mouth. That O’Charly’s gone through this much trouble on a less ordered dish is commendable. Try it next time when you want to break from the usual burger and steaks. I had shrimp scampi with 9 oz sirlion. At first the food did not look as tantalizing but the taste were as great as any fine-dining offerings. The shrimps were succulent and sweet and received perfect grill time and sautee’d in butter and garlic. Who doesn’t like that? The reason I said it looked less tantalizing than it portrait was the sirloin had a slight dark crust. I thought that was problematic but when I cut into it, it was done to perfect medium-ness. There WAS no problem. The meat was tender and flavorful like i was at a premium steak house. I ate every piece of it. Price of a restaurant meal is usually not a big concern for me(I count my blessing), and O’Charly’s is still one of my fav’s. With food this good, this place should be packed.

STOPBEFOREYOUGOTOTHIS O’CHARLEY’S!!! Worse togo order ever! interrogated for the remake after THEY screwed it up! She promised pie as some sort of peace offering and didn’t even do that! Kayla or Jalaya or whatever her name is, is the«manager» and was a total moron! Said the remake would be no big deal just bring the receipt well I sent my husband with the crappy food AND the receipt! She kept asking HIM what was wrong with the order and we did not get our food for over an hour. NEEDSBETTERMANAGEMENT!!!

Apparently the wait staff is coming over from Waffle House and IHOP. The manager had to re-fix a meal, and obviously ignored the fact that all of our drinks were empty(as well as the server). The food wasn’t too bad, but worst service ever from a server who only had two tables

I have been to this location several times over the years. Rolls are hit or miss, either really good or burnt on top & thin inside. The house salads has a good portion. My recommended meal is definitely the black bean veggie burger. For you«meaties» out there I would try the chicken tenders or the burger. My wife has ordered steak a couple times but has never been real impressed. The best thing IMO is definitely the caramel pie. It is VERY rich so beware. :)

The food is as expected at any chain restaurant. We order food to go quite often and really appreciate the consistency and quality provided by the normal to go server. If she’s not there, we sometimes run into problems.

The service was stellar at this O’Charlie’s. The food was okay, I ordered the steak and salmon where the steak was cooked fine the salmon was a bit overcooked and dry.

I’ve been to O’Charley’s twice now to watch college football at their bar. They appear to have most games that are televised in most regions in the US. Probably as long as there isn’t a UT game on, you will be accommodated. Since almost all of the bars in Kx allow smoking, this is a big deal for those who don’t want to reek of smoke and don’t want to deal with long waits at some of the other places downtown on a Saturday night. For that, mad props. The food is not terrible, but will not blow you away, either — much like any other chain restaurant. The ribs are sweet, the steaks well-seasoned, and they have tons of sides to please any palette. I have fallen victim to their surprisingly good caramel pie during both visits — a guilty pleasure for sure. At least on Saturday nights, there are 2 for 1 beer specials, which is awesome. The servers here are very accommodating and nice as well. They may be busy on Saturday nights, but they also make sure to get to you as soon as possible. They are pretty on-point. If you are looking for a good meal with a non-distinct ambiance but pleasant people and no smoking — especially if you are trying to check out an out-of-region sporting event — O’Charley’s is A-OK!
