Hashi Japanese Grill

so I enter a door that says Hashi Japanese and assume I am about to get Japanese food. I avoided the Thai/​CHinese combinationjoint next door because mixed cuisines usually dont work out. The people who came to take my order were Thai so I knew something was up. It was late. I was hungry. I ordered a shriimp/​scallop/​tempura combo that came with fried rice. Never had fried rice on a real Japanese menu. The tempura was strange, not bad, just strange. The shrimp and scallops were also odd. Nothing really tasted Japanese. I walked around the corner and was standing in the Thai/​Chinese wing of the Lotus mixeed cuisine joint and there were a surprising number of customers there. I had the faux Japanese part to myself. I won’t go again. Mixing cuisines generally reults in something not true to any of tthem.

Great environment, make you feel like part of the family. Great food, nice people. Can’t ask for much more.
