Have passed it many times but never stopped. I’m glad I finally did. Great Mexican food and close to home. Service was quick and friendly.

Good food. If your looking for Authentic Mexican I would go somewhere like La Lupita or El Primo. But if your looking for a quick place to grab some tasty food this is the place.

My husband and I stopped in this evening to try a few menu items after reading such good reviews by others! We were not disappointed! I tried two ground beef soft tacos(a la carte) as my go-to trial item for any new Mexican restaurant. Asked for Queso cheese as well. My food was wonderful. Beef could have used a bit more flavor profile but hands-down better than that chain wanna-be! My husband tried the burritos supreme(1 each beef, chicken, bean burrito) served with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, rice, and refried beans. He loved his meal also. The Queso cheese had a good flavor. They are known for their homemade tamales, but neither of us care for them unfortunately. Will definitely return again to try more menu items! Great meal, great value!

Try the tamales! They can also be purchased by the dozen. They have chicken, ground beef, and(my favorite) pork. They are delicious and homemade!

We are regulars here and they never disappoint. Excellent flautas, tamales, quesadillas and the best carnitas I’ve ever tasted. Family run restaurant with friendly staff and consistently delicious food.

Mexico Lindo is nestled in the middle of an older strip mall on Cedar Bluff. If you drive fast you will miss it. At the suggestion of a co worker my friend and I went one Friday night. We have been almost once a week ever since. When you go in you are immediately greeted by one of the sweet, funny servers(once you become a regular you actually are immediately recognized) The place is small, probably no more than ten tables, but its always full, and its full of regulars, like me. They offer no alcohol or liquor(because of their location to the daycare behind the building) but you can always bring your own. As far as the menu goes, They have everything. They are known for their tamales but I am not a big fan. I recommend the Flautas(get a combo of chicken and beef) and they come with a TON of cheese to dip them in, and all of the standard sides. The fajita nachos cannot be beat. They season their meats! what a concept! You can expect to actually taste salt and pepper, adobo, and mexican oregano in their spice mix, and it keeps me going back. If you have room for dessert, get the Fried Cheesecake Chimi to go, and eat it later. It is yummy! Also keep supporting this tiny local business! you never have to wait longer than 2 minutes for a table, the prices cannot be beat, and you get the nicest servers you will ever meet in your life!

We came here to try the $ 6.99 all you can eat lunch with a beverage purchase($ 2.19). Overall I think it was a good deal. It’s all you can eat hard and soft tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and tostadas. You choose beef or chicken and it comes with rice and beans. You order 3 items at a time. We did have two of our requested beef tacos come out as chicken. The salsa has a great kick to it but I wasn’t a fan of the chips– really thick and bland. The burrito was my favorite with a great red sauce.

My wife and I go here quite a bit and have never been disappointed. The food is very reasonably priced, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. Even when the place is packed, you still get your food relatively quickly. Very similar to other Mexican restaurants in town. They do have some of the better salsa, but it is HOTTT!

I love this place! My hubby and son eat here almost every Monday. The all you can eat taco, burrito, rice, beans etc is an awesome deal if you eat alot. Its like $ 6.99 for lunch and $ 8.99 for dinner with a purchase of a drink. Its so worth it ! The menu prices are alittle high but I think its so worth it.

Best tamales in town!!! Salsa verde is also delicious! Guacamole is some of the best in town! My father in law bought me a bunch for a gift and it was one of the best gifts ever!

Worst excuse for Mexian food I’ve ever had. store bought tortilas, canned beans, watery weak salsa, bland food covered in cheese the way Americans who hate real Mexican food like. Just gross. Knoxville is not a great place for authentic Mexican food but this is the worst. I’ve had decent seafood, southern, soul and Chinese but no real Mexican fare, here.

I am spoiled from growing up in Miami with great Cuban food and going to college in L.A. where Mexican cuisine is deliciously king. Mexico Lindo, however, has never disappointed me. I have tried so many options on the menu, and all from the basic taco or tostada to their tamales or ridiculously large-portioned fajitas, you will be serenaded by some serious home-cooked Mexican food. The pricing cannot be beat, and the quality is the best in Knoxville, hands down. You pay less and get more than going to any of the chain restaurants, so you have no real excuse to skip this place unless you want food that is Mexican-in-name-only. This is the real thing. Also, service is great and unobtrusive while still being attentive. If you are going to be snobbish and want to be treated like a queen, you might be disappointed, but if you are like me and like being treated like(well-liked) close family, then this place is the spot for you. Also, they are super friendly to the kids I see coming in with their folks, and for families it’s great– yet it’s still a stellar date night location. If you want some delicious, home-style Mexican food with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and prices that cannot be beat, you should definitely try out Mexico Lindo. I can’t think of any negatives, and I really tried!

Just stay away. The people were nice enough, but the food was far below average and extremely oversalted. The tortillas were stale, the salsa was watery, and to make matters worse, they don’t have a license to sell the one thing that would have made the visit tolerable: beer. Don’t fall for the Groupon. It’s better to spend a little more and eat elsewhere.

Mexican is a dime a dozen in this town and they all taste alike and nothing can compete with Chez Guevera. But this place is actually good. I have been 4 times and tried burritos and chimichangas all being good. I actuall give their bloody Mary the 3rd best in town and I am discriminating in them. Definitely an alternative when you don’t want to wait at Chez Guevera.

The search is on for an outrageously delicious Knoxville chicken chimichanga, and sorry to say Mexico Lindo didn’t deliver. Ordered a No. 4 lunch with chimi, rice, beans and salad and about 5 – 7 mins later, the cook brought out a plate with a rolled and lightly fried flour tortilla covered in white sauce. When I asked him what it was, he told me it was my lunch. I inquired, «Where’s the rest of it?» and he explained that the server said I only wanted a chimi, so he took it back and plated the sides and re-served. Nice presentation — chicken was tender, though the beans were lukewarm, and the liquidy cheese sauce — well, I guess it’s Knoxville style and not my style. Salsa and chips were okay; still missing the chunky pieces of tomato and onion and cilantro leaves. Price $ 8.67 with diet Coke. Not bad. Yet the search goes on… BTW: One of the sides is mashed potatoes! How Mexican is that?

Food was terrible!!! If Unilocal did ½ stars then I would make this a 1.5 stars. Idk why I saw so many stars but I just left from there and wow. Not sure if it was even Mexican food. Me and the husband got the 12.99 special(two dinners, drinks and dessert). He got the tamales and I got a chicken chalupa and taco. The chicken was watery and unflavored, it made the shell soggy. And the chalupa was a dried out fried shell that you couldn’t fold up. I couldn’t even finish it. And for the sides I just got rice and it was cooked fine but again– bland. No seasoning or vegetables in the traditional yellow rice. The dessert was alright(you couldn’t choose the dessert it was automatically the sopapillo sp?) and I can’t even talk about the $ 2 side of guacamole. I’d rather go to Cancun Mexican restaurant. They know how to make some good food. And the service was quick but disappointing. When we walked in a girl pointed to a table and we sat down and looked at the menu. I had a question about the special and she said, «I don’t know, let me ask.» and never came back. Then a new girl came up and took our orders, but when we asked for more chips she literally put 4 more chips in the basket. I’ll upload the picture of it. Then we had a different server giving us our food when she was sitting in the back texting on her phone.

Mexico Lindo is the kind of homey, delicious, Mexican food joint you’d find anywhere in California. In Knoxville it is the best in town and I adore it! The enchilada sauce is real,(not like the watered down Campbells tomato soup found everywhere else in town) the rice and beans are great, and the tamales are just like what I grew up eating with my Mexican family. The service is good, and the food comes out fast and hot. I will not go anywhere else for Mexican food now, and I feel like I have a little bit of home here in Knoxville!

Did you ever move to a place, and wonder if you will find a cool little place to enjoy a meal near where you live, just like you used to have? I am SOOOOOO glad I walked into Mexico Lindo. Not knowing what to expect, and being underwhelmed by many of the larger flashier places within a mile or two, I was not expecting really good food. I got really good food. Lots of it. Despite offering up lots of lettuce and tomato with their tacos and fajitas, the food itself was awesome. I ordered the combo fajitas, a chicken taco with cilantro and onion, and a tamale. Did I mention the tamales? They make their own tamales. Ring the bell, you win Mexico Lindo! Ok, so the fajita was good, the taco was great, and the tamale was awesome. But I hate this restaurant. You see, they have a little sign on the table: MONDAY, ALLYOUCANEAT! $ 8.99. Just plain evil. This is why people cross the border to get into the USA. burp
