Outstanding!!! Got the pulled pork plate. Serving of pulled pork was huge. Meat was moist with a pleasant smoke flavor. The meat could stand on its on without smothering it in sauce. There were three sauce choices. Regular, sweet, and hot. All three were a tremendous addition to the already perfecting smoked pulled pork. Plate gave a choice of two sides. Great variety of choices. I had the Mac and cheese and fried okra. Mac and cheese was moist and very cheesy. Macaroni was very week cooked and the cheese was and outstanding addition. I would say the Mac and cheese was frozen but it was a very high quality product. Fried okra was also very good. I know it was frozen but they cook it by order so it was fresh and hot. Meal also included a beverage of your choice. I had the sweet tea and it was just like moms. For dessert I had a complimentary soft serve ice cream cone which is available for all customers. Resturant is clean and well designed and decorated. Employees were friendly, efficient, neat, and clean. Located in Turkey Creek/Parkside Dr on the West end near Best Buy. If you like really good bar b que it’s worth a try for sure.

Probably the best barbeque place in town. Food is awesome. Cost, ambience and the quality of their plastic wares are excellent. The«Deal of the Day» is always a bang for your buck. And you get free ice cream too!

Do not get their ‘ribs’ that have been sitting in a warming oven for hours, dried out to the point of jerky on a bone. No bueno.

Great quick serve BBQ. For the price and speed the food is great. There are better gourmet less chain-like BBQ but this is a good option for quicker BBQ on a budget.

Great experience! Food is delicious, staff is super friendly, and the restaurant is comfortable. The only thing missing from this fantastic meal is some good music to go with it!

Clean good BBQ — great joint for a chain. I have gone back everytime I stay in Turkey Creek area for lunch. Would be nice if they had beers but thats just me. Love the true tradition of onions and pickles on the bar. Should add some Japo’s as well. Nice work Dickeys!

I’m a jersey boy but I have one hell of a passion when it comes to BBQ. Traveling on my way down to Alabama, we stopped at this little join outside Knoxville. I haven’t seen a Dickys before and wow was I missing out! Walking in, the décor was awesome. Really kicking it with the wooden barn feel as well as some awesome black and white pictures. Very clean floor and the man who took our orders had excellent customer service skills. I was amazed at how fresh the meat tasted. I had pulled pork and beef brisket and I smothered it in there original BBQ sauce. The meat itself was spiced generously but not overdone. The sauce was good, but a little sweet(especially because they have a specialty sauce for sweeter BBQ). The fried okra was excellent. HUGE pieces of okra with real good flavor. Not sure if this is true, but it tasted like the okra had never been frozen. It had a lot more flavor than the okra I’ve had at other places, especially other BBQ chains like Dickys. These new assembly«fastish» food restaurants are popping up everywhere and are really making an impact on the industry. I was really excited to learn that they just opened one up a couple miles from my house in jersey! Excellent experience.

The meat is soooo good! The bread is soooo good. The onion strings and okra are great. Others in my party had the beans and the baked potato casserole which were really good. The people were all so nice and accomodating. A great meal with wonderful people to prepare and serve you.

Dickey’s. Texans already know what to expect. Non-Texans, listen up. Dickey’s is a barbecue chain out of Texas specializing in Texas style BBQ. For those who don’t know, this means beef brisket, as well as different types of sausage, and generally a greater variety of sides than the standard coleslaw beans and potato salad available at Tennessee BBQ restaurants. I did not try the pulled pork. That’s a Tennessee specialty, and there are plenty of places in the Knoxville area that knock that one out of the park. I came here for the brisket. Here is the low down. If you are in Texas, Dickey’s is nothing to write home about. It is a chain. Similar to how to Chuy’s is nothing special in Texas. If you are outside of Texas, especially if you are a Texas expat, OMG Dickey’s! Brisket! There is no one else doing brisket Texas style in the Knoxville area, so this is your only option. The brisket was pretty decent. No, we’re not in Texas, no, it’s not Franklins. Ok. But it’s pretty good for Tennessee. Especially good for East Tennessee. The original sauce was my favorite, we tried all three, the spicy wasn’t that spicy. I didn’t care for the sweet sauce, although Texas sauces tend to be a bit thicker and sweeter, the sweet sauce tasted like an ice cream topping to me — very strange. We enjoyed the green beans and okra, again, not the best green beans or okra I have ever had in my entire life, this is a chain restaurant here. But they were pretty good, and it was just nice to have a BBQ place that actually offers those options as side. Overall, anytime I am homesick, I will be hitting up here or Chuy’s. I highly recommend it to anyone who has never tried Texas style barbecue and is curious. But obviously, if you’re going to Texas soon, hold out for the really good stuff.

We rolled up to this place while driving through the near automotive armageddon of Turkey Creek. I had zero expectations other than barbeque, and I like barbeque, a lot… Here is the deal, if you need a quick bite to eat, this seems like a good option, as good as many places in the area. If you are looking for really good barbeque, you aren’t going to find it here. We tried the brisket and pulled pork in addition to various sides. Both meats weren’t bad, characterless might be an apt description. All the barbeque sauces are overly sweet, even the spicy sauce lacked bite. The mac and cheese, cole slaw, and onion rings were good, but the barbeque just doesn’t stand out.

They best chain BBQ place in that it embodies everything the down to earth places do. Excellent food and atmosphere. The Beef Brisket and ribs are some of the most authentic tasting I’ve had. The BBQ sauces are made in the standard three flavors, original, sweet, and spicy. The spicy which is what I get is a great add on to any dish. Just wish the side dishes where spiced better(green beans and jalapeño beans are just okay) Highly recommend you go for the daily deals and don’t forget the free ice-cream on your way out.

Been here 3x’s now for work week lunches. I’ve been with 4 — 7 people each time. They can definitely accommodate larger groups, but get there early! This place fills up fast! And with good reason! So BLUF: — The brisket! It’s why we honestly go. No one else that I’ve found do brisket better than this place. I know its a chain but… TN ain’t the place for brisket, so I’m ok with a chain that does it right — That mac-n-cheese!!! It is stove top mac-n-cheese, not baked, It tastes like its just variations of Cheddar, but man!!! SO creamy! — Fried okra! Oh lord! Like little bites of crunchy heaven!!! I don’t know of any better way to eat okra… and I haven’t found a place that has a more flavorful cornmeal-based batter than Dickey’s! — The pulled pork is good, as is the pork jalapeño sausage. I won’t say I’d come back so frequently for those, though. All and all, the brisket, okra & the mac-n-cheese is why you go here! The sweet tea is as sweet here as any other place, AND you get an awesome plastic cup to keep(its dishwasher safe)!

OHMYGOSH! We USUALLY go to the other«Famous» one EVERYSINGLETIME we pass through Knoxville. Let me just say, we will NOT be going to there any more! I’ve never have eaten at Dickey’s and did not know what to expect. My first impression was how CLEAN it was! We were greeted by staff as soon as we walked in, asked if we’ve ever been to a Dickey’s and then the menu was explained, where we had to go to order, get our drinks & condiments… etc. Each food station was VERY friendly and helpful. I had the beef brisket with sides of Mac n’ Cheese and Fried Onion Tanglers. My hubby had the pulled pork with sides of Baked Potato Casserole and Barbecue Beans. We both asked for Seltzer and GUESSWHAT? THEYHAVEIT!!! We travel with our own seltzer, because more restaurants don’t have it, so this was a very nice plus. We usually at least taste each others food and let me tell you, both of us couldn’t decide which was the most delicious!!! EVERY single bite was met with Mmmmmm coming out of our mouths! While we were eating, we were asked by staff if we needed anything and reminded us about the condiments available. We observed staff always cleaning up tables as people left and the atmosphere had a quite enjoyable feel. One of my absolute pet peeves is bathroom cleanliness… it was SPARKLING, smelled fresh and all necessary items were available! My hubby said the men’s room was also VERY clean. As we were leaving we bid farewell with smiles! DEFINITELYGO! This place is here to stay and we can’t wait to go through there again! They definitely KNOW how to treat a customer! OHANDFREEICECREAMTOO!!!

First time ever at any Dickeys restaurant. Excellent lunch. Great pulled pork and beans. Place is brand new and really nice looking. UT people will overrun this place on game days and for good reason. They even had s seltzer water button on the soda machine– clearly the sign of the above average restaurant!
