Not what we expected.
My wife and I ate here last Saturday. We’ve seen it featured on WBIR on Fridays. We were in the area and decided to try it. We should have done some homework first. Fast Food is not our thing and this is Fast Food BBQ.
The staff was very nice and pleasant. The place was very clean.
The pork sandwich was awful. Quite tasteless. Doctored it up with there hot bbq sauce to get it down. On a positive the hush puppies were very good.
??? If we’d go back to Buddy’s

Very tasty, the sauces are flavorful. I wanted bbq in TN and was very happy with their selections and they come around when you eat in with extra hushpuppies! Nice touch. I was really surprised there weren’t more people there however.

Just love the smoky sauce and the pork is tender and smoky! Family favorite! We always get green beans and BBQ beans too. Our go-to baseball tournament meal also!

This is the place to stop and enjoy great food. Everything we order tasted excellent. The ½ chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cobb, bbq ribs, cole slaw, potato salad, hush puppies & pork and beans.

I’m not a big BBQ guy so I’m not sure how authentic Buddy’s is. It kind of resembles a fast food take on BBQ. The restaurant looks like an Arby’s from 1980. I choose the pulled BBQ chicken with hush puppies, Mac & cheese and corn on the cob. Chicken was decent but the Mac & cheese and corn were better. I love hush puppies but rarely have them so I was a bit disappointed in those. Bit too mushy. I’m sure there are better BBQ places in Knoxville but Buddy’s is a good choice if you want something cheap & quick.

I no longer live in TN, but anytime I drive through, I stop at Buddy’s. I love the lil’ piggy pack (the sandwich is about the same size as a Krystal burger — perfect!) and the hushpuppies. YUM. I miss TN BBQ so much and Buddy’s hits it perfect every time.
