Been here a couple times. I like the atmosphere, adequate and comfortable seating, and available parking in the garage. I’ve had the crustless quiche which was tasty. I’ve also had the hummus platter which was fantastic. It came with carrot and celery sticks, pita bread and a heaping of hummus. Delicious! Now, here’s my beef with them. I like my hot drinks hot. Is that so much to ask for? I think not. Extra hot= luke warm Extra extra hot(informing them that their extra hot is not hot)=luke warm. Where is the failure in this system? Is it expresso machine? is it the barista? Is it that most customers are wimpy and can’t handle the extra hot temperature so the barista assumes that extra hot means, it’s drinkable and avoids complains of burnt tongue or lips and a lawsuit. I don’t know about you, but now I’m hot and bothered just thinking of how incapable they are of making a hot drink!!! MINUSONESTAR for luke warm«hot» drinks!

A good place to pick up a coffee. Tried the Turkish latte, it was tasty with a nice bit of spice but a little too sweet. Seltzer served w cappuccino is a nice touch. Also looked like nice breakfast selections.

If you want a real espresso combination drink, you have come to the right spot! I always order the same ol vanilla latte. The minute you sip the drink, the espresso just kicks you in the face. You literally can taste it and smell it. You know it’s there. My fiancé got the pumpkin and he loved it! He actually doesn’t like espresso and approves! The sizes run small. Smaller than Starbucks. I have a tiny hand and the 8 oz literally fits in my hand. I’m giving this place four stars because the cashier didn’t seem too helpful or patient or enthusiastic. That and the guy pouring the coffee beans into the bag had dropped a ton of coffee beans on the floor and table and proceeded to pick them up and throw them away and went right back to pouring the coffee beans. Did not wash his hands. Other than that, I’ll go to the Kaldi’s not this one.

I am never disappointed when I stop by, weather it be brewed coffee, a latte, a sandwich, or a pastry. All have been delicious. Easily one of the best coffee shops in town.

I absolutely LOVE Kaldi’s coffee! I have been coming here for years and I’ve never had a better cup anywhere in the U.S. They even sell their own coffee beans but it’s definitely not the same brewing at home :) My favorite coffee drink to get is their signature latte. The location is also perfect in downtown Kirkwood. I can stop by here after miles of biking on grant’s trail, just as a breakfast stop in the morning, or a coffee date with my husband or girlfriends. I’ve had their salads and sandwiches, and all are delicious. I wouldn’t be able to choose which I like best. The only cons of this wonderful place is poor wifi if you are here to get work done. For some reason, I have never gotten it to work. The password connects but the webpages never load. So this isn’t a place to study/work if you need fast, reliable network and if you need quiet time. The staff is also friendly hit or miss. especially the staff that have worked there for awhile. They will take care of you. If you are a coffee lover, you need to check out Kaldi’s!

I like it, I love it, I want some more of it. Very friendly staff and loved the free refills on iced tea. The husband liked the drip coffee too. This is a local roaster and very high quality.

It has a nice atmosphere, but not a place I’ll go for coffee. I’ve been to two locations, and have tried 4 coffee drinks, 2 being mochas. It has tasted awful everytime! I drank less than ¼ of my drink. If I was rating only on the drinks, it would be 2 stars since they at least look pretty.

Definitively a fan. State of the art coffee, rich and smooth. Lifts your mood up from the first sip to the last bite of the muffin. Fountain nearby creates calming ambiance, however, nearby train might take it away. Great place to study for those who need a background noise and a smell of freshly brewed coffee and flavorful tea.

Kaldis is simply the best. Always calming my quiet yet humming with the energy of people working and interacting. Their food is yummy and staff is friendly and helpful. Drinks are great, whether you get an iced latte, chai tea, frozen coffee, or something more traditional. Service is quick. Mini scones are a delightful and small treat. Food is fresh and healthy. I will always be a fan.

Second time here and I was very pleased! All of the employees are very nice and knowledgable about the menu ! Dawn was very helpful while ordering! The food was ready quickly! Which is always a plus! I had the mango chicken salad sandwich! Didn’t come with a side. Next time I’ll order one! Vanilla late had awesome latte art and also tasted great ! Will be returning soon! My friend ordered one of the breakfast burritos and said it tasted fantastic and healthy!

If you’re looking for a great café experience that is a local establishment, look no further! Both the indoor and outdoor dining/drinking/sitting options are prime. The location is in the heart of Kirkwood– a neighborhood that is the perfect blend of quaint and contemporary. The coffee at Kaldi’s is quintessential. I buy their beans weekly to brew at home!

Tell me what other coffee house gives you a spoon full of chocolate covered coffee beans and a glass of seltzer water on a wooden tray?! I don’t know of any and I’ve been to a whole lot of coffee shops. This is waaaaaay better than any Staryucks. The staff is very helpful and quick. Lots of food and bakery choices here too. The seating outside is nice and relaxing. Make sure to put this on your list of must try coffee houses in STL!

Finding coffee on a road trip can be a total hit or miss. So glad Unilocal bud Aaron B. had us meet him here for a cup of joe before checking out St. Louis! From what I’ve found, they started in St. Louis and have since spread to Kansas City with locations a-plenty. While I didn’t get the full-on experience of Kaldi’s, I very much enjoyed my mocha that came out quickly; not overly sweet and you can still taste the espresso. The outdoor area is so incredibly cute with dogs a-plenty for me to ogle. And the weather couldn’t have been more perfect that day. I could definitely see myself working out of Kaldi’s if I lived in these here parts.

I went here recently with a few friends, and really loved the place! The ambiance is warm, spacious, and inviting, yet quite unique and eclectic(i.e. not your average Starbucks). The baristas were very helpful in explaining all of the options, and the ways in which the coffee is brewed differently at Kaldi’s. I got the«Side Car» which was a whole delicious platter of goodness. It included a shot of espresso, a small cappuccino, chocolate-covered espresso beans, and a sparkling water. It sure did open my eyes, and not only was it filled with caffeine and amazing tastes/aromas, but it was an experience in itself. My friends and I were each able to get something unique that we enjoyed, and we snagged the large and comfy couch area which was super relaxing. I’m glad that Kaldi’s has numerous locations because I’m sure I’ll be back at one again soon!

This is a Missouri-based chain with locations in St. Louis, Columbia, and Kansas City. It has several different types of coffee from various regions of Africa, both single-origin and blends. On the menu are also the typical hot drinks, breakfast pastries, cookies, yogurts, and sandwiches you’d see at any specialty coffee house. My group ordered a coffee, hot chocolate, chai, frosted sugar cookie, and power sandwich, and everyone was content with their order. I would definitely return for an afternoon coffee date on their front patio. Side note: there was a business meeting happening, complete with a portable whiteboard. The staff at Kaldi’s seemed cool with it, so I will note that this is a suitable environment for groups.

Love their coffees and specialty drinks. Great atmosphere and they have free wifi and stay open later than most other cafes. Staff are always so nice and accommodating.

Great atmosphere, friendly & knowledgeable staff & great food & Specialty Coffee. My husband & I went to our first«Cupping» last month and had a great time. They offer free Cupping and it was a great learning experience. John was in charge and was great at sharing his knowledge yet at the same time not making a newbie like me feel inadequate! Can’t wait to do it again…

This is a pretty cool place to grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee(if you’re into coffee, which I’m usually not unless it involves copious amounts of milk and sugar). I had the mango chicken salad sandwich and Billy Goat chips. I’m pretty obsessed with Billy Goat chips… I think they are probably the only chips I actually enjoy eating. But that’s besides the point. Umm food yes, the mango chicken salad sandwich had the right ratio of meat to greens to avocado, but I couldn’t really taste the mango. I was expecting to see some small chunks of mango or at least to detect the flavor more, but now that I’m thinking back, the menu might have described it as having a mango mayo or something. Either way, it was still a decent sandwich; I just wish the mango was more pronounced because mango is awesome. Mango. How many more times can I say mango in this review? Mango mango mango. Oh, but seriously, though… my friend got the mango smoothie and I’m going to have to order it next time I come back here because it was yummy! The inside of the café has a cool vibe and there is a lot of outdoor seating, although not all of the outdoor tables have umbrellas. Also there’s a free parking garage in the back! All in all, a decent place I would come back to.

Great place to get your coffee or tea drank on after visiting the nearby Magic House. Easy parking, large outside patio space with fountain, and generally good coffee drinks. I get mine with almond milk so perhaps that’s why it was a bit, um, dank… but it’s still coffee that’s better than most establishments around. It’s no Blueprint though.

Review update for dat breakfast saaaaandwich. I wasn’t expecting much but I was totally hooked after my first bite. I got the egg sandwich with sausage and cheese. It’s a pretty straightforward creation: biscuit, egg, cheese, sausage. The biscuit is what made this item worth ordering. It had sooo much flavor. Usually biscuits are bland but I think it had some sort of cheese/seasoning flavor on it. Whatever it was, it was magical. They also had more veggie friendly versions like the«tomato and cheese» version. This was my first time getting a breakfast item and Kaldis and it was legit. Sometimes coffee shops breakfast can be «meh.» I’m looking forward to trying some of their other breakfast dishes.
