Decent place the food was ok. I had higher hopes for authentic Italian food — but was let down bit. The sauce on my pasta and the pizza tasted anything but Italian flare and the pizza was off the mark. I grade it a 2 for location which is impressive but the food was a 2.5 to be honest. I typically order chicken parm when I first try an Italian resturant — because how can u mess that up. Well… it wasn’t that good at all to be honest. The scenery must be a big part of what gets this place reviews.

Garlic knots… wow! Lobster ravioli was amazing! Lasagna delicious. It was my husband’s birthday and they let us bring our own cake in. We sat outside and the lake view was beautiful.

Hungry for something else besides Thanksgiving leftovers and decided to give Zammitti’s another try. My first impression — a filthy dirty entry door mat, inside not outside. Just what I want to see walking into a restaurant. No greeter, a waiter finally said seat yourself. Our waiter was just bleh. He was more interested in what else was going on in an almost empty restaurant than our order. It took forever to get their knots/rolls. They were hard and nothing to rave about. I am no foodie and not overly picky, but those rolls everyone raves about were awful. Our salad arrived and looked ok. I noticed a few dark, wilted lettuce leaves in mine — uck. The dressing seemed thinned out. My entrée was lasagna. It really was ok, I ate it all, but it seemed flat and lacked any real flavor. And the portion was rather small. A message to the owner, clean the place up, keep your a/c in check — it was way too cold in there. And give your wait staff a refresher course on why they work there.

Great food, amazing view, PERFECT date night spot! I went to Zammittis and the waiter were very helpful. The food was amazing and I loved the scenery. I will definitely be coming back soon.

This place never disappoints. It’s always good. We don’t live nearby anymore but we always choose this place whenever we are in the neighborhood.

I can’t say enough about the food in this establishment! Great pizza, great pasta combos and the outside seating is clutch. They have the best pasta in the area – hands down!

Delicious as usual. We had chicken piccata and the trout. Excellent. Service was good. Nice to see Eddie the owner visiting with the customers. Again, great evening!

This was our first time at Eddie’s place and had an absolutely WONDERFUL time. We have good friends who we visit in Kingwood and they brought us here. Eddie is a hoot, our waiter Michael is terrific and has a great personality as well. The food? Ah the food… My wife had some of the best lasagna she has ever had, much better than the chain restaurants, plus the portion was large enough she took half of it home. I am on a low carb diet(lost 35 lbs so far!) and Michael suggested a couple of menu items for me. I ordered the Chicken Picata. Chicken breast sauteed with a white wine lemon sauce with fresh veggies, zucchini, yellow squash, capers, artichoke hearts. I have never had capers or artichoke hearts so this dish was kind of an adventure… and was delicious! Although I wasn’t supposed to, I couldn’t help but sample the garlic and Parmesan bread which was also wonderful. Everyone else at our table went in together to devour an extra large serving of tiramisu desert. But alas, I could only watch :(

I’ve always passed this place up while on my way to the other restaurants on the lake. Probably because the sign out front reads«Zamitti’s Pizza & Pasta». Sorry but when I think pizza I think of a pizza place. Well, this is no pizza place. I mean they have pizza but there’s an actual full menu. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was fabulous. The husband had the special which was flounder topped with shrimp and a cilantro cream sauce which was AMAZING. We were both so full but didn’t want to stop eating because it was so good. I’d go here before Italiano’s any day.

The atmosphere is nice and the waterview is great. The food was average. However, I did REALLY enjoy the caprese salad. They have excellent wine offerings and one of my tried and true favorites, the Provenance Napa! The service was good, although it was only our waitresses second day waiting tables. We understood that and overlooked a few minor issues and chalked it up to her learning the role. No big deal. I would definitely come back on a sunny afternoon to enjoy the view and to have a few glasses of wine with a couple of girlfriends or to bring the kids. But this is definitely not a «date» place in my opinion. If I’m going on a date out in Kingwood then I’ll go just down the sidewalk to Chimichurri’s.

I LOVELOVELOVE! the food over there. I have never actually sat there to eat and I dont care to, I usually order take out their Pizza is very authentic in flavor and I enjoy it very much, I love the shrimp, I love the chicken parm, I love their spinach artichoke dip OMG its to DIE! And dont get me started on those addictive rolls, I usually get them by the dozen. The staff is nice, the OWNER is always there when I go and he is always very pleasant whether you are dining in or taking the food out. I called one time because my order was ready and there was literally zero parking spots available and after I gave up circling I called and I was lucky to get the Owner, yes he answers the phone too, and he told me, park right in front of the restaurant and if anyone says anything to me he will take care of it. I really appreciated him for that and I will always always get their food.

This place is… not very good from a culinary perspective. Service is pretty good and so is the atmosphere. We’ve eaten here 3 or 4 times and hve never been impressed with the food. This time my wife had the linguini with clam sauce. We both thought it was lacking flavor. The clams certainly came out of a can. I had the butternut squash ravioli. I was disappointed because the filling had plenty of nutmeg, cinnamon, and what tasted like pie spice. Maybe they should call it pumpkin pie ravioli? It was really weird with the red sauce. On the up side, i think it might have been home made. The garlic knots were odd to me as well. They were really heavy like a brick, kind of hard, and also seemed to lack flavor. In summary, i cant think of a single thing that we have ever eaten here that came close to stopping me in my tracks… I think Italiano’s has much better food at half the price. We probably have no reason to eat here again.

Update! My wife and I recently had lunch on the patio and it was a great experience. Our waiter, Bryan was very good and made the extra effort to make sure the meal was just like we wanted. She had the Caesar Salad with Shrimp and I had the Greek Salad with Shrimp. Since this was not our first visit we are smart enough to go easy on the Garlic Knots and take them home instead of most of our meal. With the weather in our favor, we sat lakeside and it was such a relaxing way to spend a lunch with great conversation. This restaurant will not disappoint and it continues to be one of our favorites in the Kingwood area.

This is the second time I have eaten here. The first time for lunch I had salad and minestrone soup. The soup was the worst soup I have ever had at a restaurant. It had cabbage, carrots, potatoes in a bland broth. It was more like a vegetable«soup» in water. There was no pasta and no beans. I was very disappointed That being said, the only reason I went tonight was because it was a group dinner. It never would have been my choice. The waiter asked if I wanted a glass of their house wine. I said«yes, Cabernet». My dinner was their special dinner on the menu, Chicken Saltimbocca. I ordered that and the house salad. Chicken was $ 15.95, salad was $ 3.95. The salad was good – loved the dressing! The chicken dish came with about ½ cup of veggies sautéed in butter. The chicken itself was dry. So here I had a «roll» of stuffed chicken breast with brown gravy and veggies in the corner on a plastic white plate.(WHY do Italian restaurants in Kingwood serve their food on plastic white plates?) When the bill came, I realized the«house» wine(which is usually the cheapest wine) was $ 9/glass!!! Really? I don’t pay $ 9 for a bottle of wine! I will say, the service was excellent. That’s the only reason I am giving them a three star rating. Food was two stars. Won’t be going back.

Zammitti’s is a cute and tasty restaurant located in King’s Harbour on West Lake Houston Parkway near the water. I’ve passed by this place so much but never went into it until Valentine’s Day and my boyfriend and I are pleased to have gone here for our date night. Once you enter, the hostess and employees are friendly and it smells so good! With the open kitchen, I knew it was already a hit. The garlic knots(bread) was complimentary and it was delicious. Other things we ordered and which didn’t disappoint were the fried cheese ravioli for our appetizer, then for our main course we had chicken parmesan and BBQ chicken pizza. All taster up to par! I think what made our night was the owner came around and gave out roses, nice touch! I’d dine at this restaurant again.

UPDATE: Well we went the other night to enjoy dinner and the live bands outside in the courtyard and though the food was still just as yummy I wish the cooks would do a better job of «cleaning as you go». Since its an open kitchen it was kind of unappealing to see all the food on the floor and them dropping cooking utensils in a bucket on the floor with yellow water and food bits in it. We use to come here all the time when we first moved to Kingwood. Always for lunch so we could enjoy the weather on the water. Location is superb! Love it. The food is just as amazing. Never had anything bad her and the garlic knots are tasty. I am a big fan of the pizza. Hopefully once the weather warms up we can enjoy some lunches on the patio.

I had to update this review when I noticed how old it was. The service is still great here, and they’re always friendly, but I had to lower it a star. We stopes coming here because they changed the Caesar dressing a while back, and I don’t like it now. It used to be Parmesan-y and homemade, but now it tastes like jarred stuff. Same goes for the croutons. To most people this won’t make a big difference, but since I’m a big salad person it was enough to turn me away.
