It’s OK as far as the food goes. I’d rather go to red lobster for the price alone. I have been here twice and it just doesn’t dazzle me. I had the fish and chips on my last visit. The fish tasted alright and didn’t have a dirty taste to it. It’s a cute spot for a date since it’s right by the water, but I’d go to the neighbor restaurants instead.

OK, maybe a 3.5 instead of a 4, but I’m a math teachers… so(round it up). Come here for environment, loudness, and to have a good time, and you will not be disappointed. It is not a «quiet, eat, romanic» place. Quick fried food… thown on your table for you to eat and enjoy… grilled is ok too… coleslaw is great! Come, have a beer, bring a friend, talk, relax, enjoy, do not be too critical… it is what it is… and what it is… is not that bad…(This would be a great place in Galveston by the beach…) one of those type of places… Enjoy!

We had a cup of shrimp gumbo which was really good! I had the salmon with veggies– loved every bite of the salmon. My husband had the chicken Alfredo and that was pretty good too. We can’t wait to go back and try more of their seafoood and go get some more gumbo!

We’ve been coming here for a long time. The food and service has always been good but not great. They were no better than anyone else that had fish on the menu. However, something happened about 6 weeks ago… On our last few visits, their food has gone from good to exceptional. I’ve had the fish and chips on the last two visits; it was outstanding. In fact, I might even risk saying it’s the best fish and chips I have ever had. The fish was fresh and flakey with just the right amount of a light coating. After being deep fried there was zero trace of any grease when it was served. They also offer sweet potato fries as a sub for French fries. These were terrific; nice and crispy, not soggy like sweet potato fries often are. I also had a number of Arnold Palmer’s(ice tea and lemonade) that were all mixed perfectly. Finally, our waitress. I don’t remember her name but we had dinner on Monday night(11/16/2015). She did a great job. We had 5 adults and 3 kids under 8 and couldn’t ask a waitress to do any better. Big smile, very friendly, very accommodating, and quickly handled every request for extras or something different. She was simply terrific. If I figure it out I’ll add it later. UPDATE: our waitress was Ashley. If you want great service, ask for her. If you haven’t been to Sharky’s yet or haven’t been back in a while, NOW is when you want to go.

My family and I discovered Sharky’s one Saturday evening when we were wanting a casual restaurant for some appetizers and beers. This place was amazing right from the start with a big interior and lovely view of the lake. We started with some Fishing Bobbers(homemade sweet corn hush puppies) and fried green beans! Talk about light but yummy! We went back the following day for lunch. I had the Rod & Reel(grilled tilapia with fingerling potatoes), my mother had the Cabo fish tacos, and my grandparents shared the fried catfish. Talk about yummy! We go back there at least twice a month and it’s hard trying new items just because you fall in love with your tried and true favorites. Casual ambience, perfect for large parties and kids, wonderful view; what more could you want? Highly recommend the salads which are huge, and the seafood. The burgers are over a half pound and always cooked perfectly. Sometimes service can be a little slow when it’s crowded, but I’ve only experienced that two or three times in the past four years.

Good service and good food. Nothing spectacular. But satisfying. I had the ginger chicken.

Went to Sharky’s again, this time I had the jaws shrimp platter. It was really good, much better than the fish tacos!

We were looking for local spots to grab some decent food without breaking the bank and Sharkys nailed it! It was always busy when we came by but we were always able to grab a seat at the bar. Both times we came in we had the greatest bartender, Shannon. She was incredibly welcoming, had various suggestions on what we should try based on our tastes and even gave us ideas of what other attractions to see in the local area. Her drinks were fabulous and she was able to maintain the bar, as well as drinks for the entire restaurant, by herself while still maintaining conversation with us and pleasantly interacting with her co workers. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back! The food is delicious with ranges from seafood to burgers and more than enough drink options to satisfy your tastes! Ask for Shannon as I’m sure she would be glad to give you a recommendation!

I took my two young boys ages 8 and 6 here for lunch. I really love how it’s friendly and they always love coming here. Such a nice place for them to keep themselves entertained with the crayons. Best thing was the decorate yourself Shark shaped Rice Krispie treat. It’s a must have and it’s really yummy. Service was quick and we all loved our food.

I would say it was ok. Nothing to write home about. The stars of the show were the view/atmosphere, popcorn shrimp, mango margarita, & fried catfish. The live music was a very nice touch. The biggest downer by far was the state of the ladies restroom. It was gross. I have probably seen cleaner truck stop restrooms in my day. One of the two toilets needed to be plunged. The trash was overflowing, there was a kind of large basket thing under the sink that had clearly been stepped on, broken, and left there for no apparent reason. There clearly used to be something affixed to the wall and it was taken down but some kind of glue or adhesive remained. The absolute worst part was that for some odd reason there was no AC in the restroom. Mind you they were not busy. We didn’t even wait for a table so a host could have easily gone in to straighten up. The very odd thing is that this restaurant is in such a nice location. The décor is a bit silly but still classy and the restaurant is in very good shape so this sad bathroom with no AC was out of place to say the least. I would go back but I’m not dying to go back sadly.

Sat under the covered patio since it was a cool night and the view was amazing! I ordered the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos with a side of asparagus. Asparagus was HUGE and delicious and the Tacos were really good just a little greasy hence the 4 stars.

I like Sharky’s because my kids like Sharky’s. I always get the seafood cobb. It’s a great size, a lot of shrimp and crab, fresh and not overly priced. You can sit on the lake and watch your kids play in the harbor fountains(if they’re on). Plenty of seating and even if there’s a wait, it’s never too long. They do get VERY busy at peak hours, and the volume level is high, as it’s a family place with a bar and televisions for sports. But its a good gathering spot. The service is always just so-so, which is why I cant give it more than 3 stars. I can’t say I’ve ever had great service. Just average or terrible. Their turn over is high, which is the cause of this. Might want to rethink management. But there aren’t a lot of options for casual, family friendly dining with a view, so we return.

Great place to take the family. The food choices are very diverse, especially on the kids menu. You can sit inside, under a covered patio on the side or outside facing the lake. It can get hot in the summer but it’s a great place to watch the sunset. They have a nice bar. I would recommend going here if you want a casual meal on the harbor.

Enjoyed dinner here a few days ago with some of my family while we were visiting. They were having an Elvis impersonator in the plaza of the shopping area. It was quit crowded but we were seated right away. The location in the water was great. Everyone said the food was great. I highly recommend this venue for eating or celebrating.

Been here a few times and the food has always been good. Service is ok. Nice but they got my order wrong once. Fixed it but it took us twice as long to eat. Patio dining on the water is great. And if you need miles on United to avoid your frequent flier miles expiring just sign up for Idine and eat here to get some points and account activity. Your miles wont expire for another 18 months. A friend of mine posted a scary picture on FB claiming to be from Sharky’s patio. I’ll post it because I think it’s a good safety reminder regardless of where you may be. We have high water occasionally in Kingwood. Check your surroundings … and especially under the tables!

As a big lover of a nice view and a great seafood plate, Sharky’s is a place I frequent. It’s patio is super adorable, with bright umbrellas and some cool patio furniture on a high deck facing Lake Houston. My one and only complaint is the music blares outside and it’s contemporary 50’s and 60’s music and it really does not fit the environment… I always always always start off with the appetizer called«Harbor Castnet,» and it is off the chain. I wish the serving size was bigger so I could just have it as an entrée. :) If you like sweet tea like I do, Sharky’s unfortunately isn’t the place to get it because they don’t offer it… That’s okay though. A little Splenda will do the trick! I’ve been served by several people here and by far the best was this chick named Amanda. She knew her menu and did a great job offering the special of the day unlike any of the other servers I’ve had while visiting. She made sure my date and I were well taken care of and didn’t hover… One thing I genuinely cannot stand out of a server is one that hovers… 5 stars to her! By the way, I am a server so I am super critical when it comes to other servers but still understanding. I’m super impressed with the service I got. Definitely requesting her every time I visit from here on out. :)

This place is just OK. It reminds me of Red Lobster. So I wasn’t that impressed. We ordered the shark bites. Which is shrimp wrapped in bacon served with a spicy sauce. That was the best!!! Really delicious. Also ordered fish tacos. The fish was prepared grilled and was pretty good. Just a bit too much cabbage. Also got the broiled seafood platter Carson style. The veggies were very aldente but tasty. It came with a crab cake, nasty nasty nasty too much filling, stuffed shrimp horrible same filling as the crab, Talpia was good but can’t see messing that up. Shrimp on a stick. It was flavored well. If I ever return I would only get the shark bites. I think also the fish tacos were over priced.
