Very good Mexican food. The chips with salsa and bean dip are great too! My favs are the tostada, and the soup!

Not a great choice for authentic Mexican food. It was pretty Americanized and overpriced. Got a breakfast burrito — it only came with JUST bacon and eggs. I asked if they could add potatoes or cheese and they was very nice and did so, but they did charge me a little extra. No problem. But it didn’t even come with salsa. What Mexican restaurant doesn’t serve a breakfast burrito with salsa?! I asked for a side of salsa and they tried to sell me a side of chips and salsa. I said no, I just needed some salsa for the burrito. So they charged me two bucks for it. Ended up being $ 10 for breakfast burrito that was just OK. Salsa was fresh but no real kick. Go to Burrito House instead. Their tortillas are homemade and the burritos come with expected ingredients so they are much more reasonably priced.

Los Pepes continues to be a favorite Mexican restaurant of mine. Food and service are top-notch. If you don’t see it on the menu, be sure to ask. The wait-staff is very accommodating. The carnitas burrito is still my favorite item to order. As the years have passed, I notice that the dining room has been updated and looks to be cleaner and tidier.

Los Pepes serves up some solid Mexican food. They bring the typical chips and salsa along with a bean dip. More Mexican restaurants should follow with the bean dip, simple to make and ingredients readily available. Had to try the chile verde soup which appears so often in Unilocal pics. It was very tasty, basically chile verde with beans in it. Had a carnitas taco w/rice and beans. Tasty, just the right portion for lunch. Very spacious dining room which can accommodate parties of 8 – 10 easily.

We just ate dinner at Los Pepes and were disappointed by the taste of the food. It lacked flavor and the enchilada sauce was watered down. Both the beans and rice were lukewarm. The waiter never checked with us. «True authenticMexican food» is definitely misleading.

I went here on a Saturday afternoon on the way to Visalia from Fresno. This was nice and relaxing place for a pit stop. I had a grilled chicken quesadilla and it was perfect! Cheese and chicken with a spoonful of guac and sour cream. The chicken was perfectly cooked and spiced well. Not too salty. I will definitely keep this place on my «go to» list.

Experts in presentation, amateurs in cooking. As I walked in there service was lacking. Waitress was very pushy for me to order drinks and food(hurry up and buy type). Even tho a live Spanish singer with a guitar was performing, it did make our experience better(wasn’t your fault tho). Soon as after we ordered we got hit with the chips with salsa and refried beans, I was impressed but quickly let down by the Pace salsa jar in the dipping container, beans weren’t bad tho. I ordered the double chimichanga plate with rice and beans and my other half ordered the chile relleno. Both plates looked good, but were both a disaster. Totally ruined our taste buds and literally were astonished by the low quality and, «authenticity» of the food. Cooks really don’t know what their doing, owner was around but seemed distracted. Staff looked unorganized. For a Friday night it looked like the restaurant is struggling and it wasn’t even fully occupied. What a shame for the owner of this restaurant to have cooks serve poorly made food to customers. Photos and the«four» star rating will catch your eye and give you a false sense that this establishment is a great place but soon you will find is all for show. I will not return to this place and for spending almost $ 40.00 dollars I was bummed and even felt robbed since we didn’t finished our food. I rate this place one star for the chips and beans(no salsa).

Great stop on our road trip back from Bakersfield. Had the machaca and eggs and the carnitas omlete. Food was excellent and the service was great. We will definitely be back on our next trip down hwy 99.

The chile verde soup is the best. No matter what entrée I order, the highlight for me is always that soup. The tasty burrito is always a good choice, but if you want something different, the pollo a la diabla is also excellent. We’ve eaten here many times and I’ve never had a meal I didn’t like. On the weekends there is a man who plays guitar and sings Spanish renditions of classic 50’s music. I recommend checking him out, he is a skilled musician and very entertaining to see perform.

This place is the best mexican food I have had in the central valley. You must try the chili verde soup. It is phenomenal. The chips and salsa and bean dip are to die for. I could sit there all day and indulge myself. The owner served us and he was awesome and super friendly. He was very helpful with ordering. I had flautas and they were really good. My coworkers had other items on the menu and they all throughly enjoyed their food. If you are ever in Kingsburg this is a must eat place for breakfast lunch or dinner and the prices were exceptional as well. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. Very warm and welcoming environment.

Los Pepe’s is a great restaurant for really, really good Mexican food! Personally, I would recommend the grilled fish tacos. The tv’s are usually tuned the either sports or the news, but if you ask them to change the channel, no problem! They are always happy to accommodate. The décor is eclectic, the booths need to be redone(not much padding left due to popularity of restaurant!) and the service is prompt and friendly. This really is one of Kingsburg’s «hidden gems.»

I eat here on a weekly basis. Actually, it’s usually more like twice weekly. The food is always awesome, but it’s the amazing people that keep me coming back. Jose and Norma(the owners) have been treating me like family for years. My chip basket, salsa bowl, and soda cup are never empty. Everything here is fantastic… the tasty burrito, the tacos, the beans(I love them boiled as opposed to refried), the chimichangas, the chile verde soup, the tostadas, the Pepito special — all amazing. Service is always quick, always friendly. I’ve been a regular here for 15 years and will continue to be. Nowhere else in Kingsburg I’d rather eat.

Four of us(Angelenos) stopped in here on our way back from Camping at Shaver Lake. We all have been to Mexico and consider Mexican to be one of our favorite cuisines. We all liked it here. The service on a weekday afternoon was a little offhanded but they happily gave us water for our dog waiting outside and the food came out pretty quickly, together and hot. Most of us had a version of the chile verde whether in soup, a burrito or straight up. Is it life changingly good? No. In any part of So Cal, depending on the day it would be a 3 star, a reliable neighborhood eatery and I’ve certainly had worse for more money down here. With the yummy bean dip, good chips and the fact that it’s in freakin’ Kingsburg surrounded by Danish kitsch, four honest stars.

CHILIVERDESOUP! Seriously so good! Been eating it for years. Good food, good prices, salsa could be hotter but good place to eat at when in kingsburg.

Went here yesterday and it was a good dining experience. I ordered the carne asada dinner plate and chili Verde soup that was one of the side choices that came with the dinner and all was good. Soup came in a small bowl but it was just a side dish not a soup dinner so that was ok. The carne asada came in thin slices and the portion was ok but it was really good and tasty. The waitress was attentive and offered a refill on my soda as soon as I finished it and set it down on the table. I’ve only been here twice in the last couple years but both times I left satisfied and happy.

After reading all the great reviews I thought I would give this place a go and then we did and we all three were disappointed. The service was excellent and the live music was nice. But the food wasnt as good as we thought. The portions were great in size. But to me it seemed as though it was lacking in flavor.

I live in northern CA now and cannot find decent Mexican food. I go to Los Pepes when I’m in town visiting family to get my fix and it never disappoints. The carne asada tacos are my favorite and they come with the best hot sauce. I make sure not to waste a drop. The burritos are huge and delicious(I’m partial to the tasty burrito). I love the enchiladas and chile verde soup. There are so many choices on the menu and I barely scratched the surface. The service is always friendly. If you’re in Kingsburg, this place is a must.

Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Central Valley. Everything about this place is top notch! I usually get a two-item combo plate when I eat here but I’ve started venturing into the burritos now. The food is fantastic and always served hot and fresh — no sitting around and getting cold. The staff is friendly and always around to refill my drink(or chips). It’s not uncommon to see the owner working the dining room and mingling with the patrons. Overall, if you’re looking for good, authentic, Mexican food this is definitely the place to go in the Selma/Kingsburg area.

Probably a solid 4 star Mexican restaurant if Kingsburg is looked at in a vacuum. But given the amount of delicious Mexican I have eaten all over the country, I can neither rave nor complain about this one. The chips and salsa were decent but not my favorite. The chips were a little too thick and crunchy for my personal preference, and the salsa seemed somewhat generic. I did enjoy my chicken mole enchiladas… the chicken was tender, the portion large, and the sauce very tasty. Overall, a solid meal that I enjoyed in Kingsburg.
