Eaten her twice now. Staff was supper friendly. They will drive down to the boat dock and shuttle family up who struggle with the hill from the Water. Food was supper yummy. Portions are big so I like to have someone who will share with me. Left full and satisfied both times.

Horrible service, decent food, if you don’t mind waiting an hour or more for something like a quesadilla. When they first opened, we loved it. But it continues to go downhill by the week. They fire people constantly, so don’t get to know anyone. Also, never plan to come for dinner and music. They don’t serve food downstairs when there is a band playing. They have great live music… but eat before you come, otherwise, you will go hungry. Hope they get some things figured out before next season. Otherwise, what a waste of a beautifully located place on the lake with such potential.

This place has completely been redone. Nice and pretty good food. Cool view of the lake from patio. We spit a burger and it was good enough but my friend got pulled pork burger. It looked better than mine so when she got up to go restroom I took a bite. Yum! Give it a try. I liked it !

We went on Thursday for the advertised prime rib special at 8:05 to find the doors were locked. We were told they stopped serving at 8:00 but we could go down stairs for appetizers if we liked. We chose to return the following Thursday arriving at 7:30. When the people at the table next to us left they gave us their napkins, salt, and pepper saying,“here take these or you may never get them”. We knew we were in trouble. We ordered food and drinks at the same time trying to avoid wait time coming back. It was at least 15 minutes before getting drinks. 15 minutes after that we were served salads that were actually for the table next to us.(Since prime rib comes with baked potato and green beans only) We got food about 75 minutes after entering. One prime rib was to be medium. They had no idea which one. Had to ask for butter and sour cream. We did get that timely, but then passed on to our neighbors later since they waited for theirs for 10 minutes. Every table.(many seated after 8:00) waited an hour and a half and still had no food. $ 98 bill for three and over 2 hours later… Definitely not a good value. Disastrous.

Went to this place because the offered a prime rib special. Two of us ordered the special and a third ordered a wedge salad. The wedge salad came out brown and frozen, picked through it to find some lettuce that was eatible. The prime rib came out over cooked and without a potato, took ten minutes to get the news that they were out of potatoes. Not anywhere I would recommend. Service was horrible with food to match! A

Everything was wonderful! Brisket Burger, BBQ nachos with Brisket, and the French Dip was all cooked well!

Food was slow but pretty good. Casual atmosphere, specialty drinks, good menu selection. Saturday night special is Ribeye dinner.

We ate here in april when they first opened back up and I have been meaning to Unilocal about it ever since. This used to be our favorite restaurant on the lake. However they seemed to be using lower quality food this year and raise prices. One of the best items on the menu was the brisket burger. This year they are not using an all beef hamburger patty, but instead mixing ground pork and beef to make a patty. Lower quality product. It was terrible. I brought the change to the waitress’s attention and that I didn’t care for the change and she said she was sorry about that and walked off. My wife ordered a chicken Caesar salad… sounds great, but it was terrible too. It was a bowl of lettuce, sliced chicken patty and Dixie cups with Caesar dressing. We didn’t see last years manager at the restaurant and assuming they have a new manager that has made some unfavorable changes. They have a great location and dock to park your boat, but the food this year is terrible and expensive for the low quality you receive! The service is always slow, but last year we didn’t mind because the food was so good, but this year we won’t go back.

What a pleasant surprise — good food and a great server(dee). Loved the barbecue sauce.

The spot and space is very nice but the service was less than desirable. We waited 40 minutes at our table to place an order. There was not enough staff and it was very disorganized. Our food was nothing special and definitely not worth the wait.

24.99 over done prime rib on not one but two plates both less then quarter inch thick, salad came out on a hot plate, ribs still had membrane still attached under done. 50 minute wait, slow service. Way to expenses for the poor food and service!

Pretty much always decent food, but this visit kinda sucked. Took over 55 minutes to get our food as the server sang about how they fired the entire kitchen staff and nobody know what was going on! Ugh! Plenty of servers, bartenders, etc. but obviously no Manager. This is a really nice seasonal venue. They spent a ton of $$ remodeling, but the owner kinda needs to get involved or hire someone to do it that is responsible. 8 tables max, 55 minutes for food, should have been a two star, but the food and atmosphere were the boost!

The food was good the smoke on the BBQ great! Atmosphere lovely out on the deck, but our waitress was slow and un attentive so by the time she brought sauces because some food was lacking flavor we either just ate it or it was cold. Fish tacos boring! And there weren’t many customers at the time maybe 2 tables.

Read a few of the reviews, was a little worried, but we decided to try it. We showed up 10 min before closing, waitress said yes we are open and showed us right to a table, Best move we ever made. The smoked turkey, was very good. THe bacon green beans was so good, our one year old ate two bowls. Service was great, Went back two days later and the waitress recognized us, treated us like we were their best customers. This time I had the sausage, was not spicy like I like it, but it was very good, Make sure you try the crab rangoon, with the spicy sauce that comes with it, I could have made a meal out of them, On our next trip, we will make sure to plan a few dinners here. I want to try the Salmon, KWBond

We went here with some friends when we were down for vacation. We had a great time here last time, but it changed. We sat at the bar and the bartender was spilling the 9 slippery nipple shots all over the bar. He didn’t acknowledge us, but after 10 mins a girl came over whom seemed to be indulging in some illegal activities(). She didn’t know how to make a vodka soda tall. We ended up getting 3 canned beers, a vodka red bull. We walked up to listen to the music and then another waitress came over and knocked our guests purse off the chair. She said sorry but didn’t even think of picking it up. There was also a pregnant woman getting upset over some food problem. This place has potential of being a awesome place with the location and live band. There needs to be some personnel changes here. I think the future of this business is on the rocks

Terrible food. Some of us had cold food, some had pure mush! The service is disgraceful, and the manager was degrading the employees in front of guests. They insinuated that our dislike of their food was a problematic palate instead of a dysfunctional kitchen. Everthing was overpriced. All in all, laughable!

The beef brisket was a bit dry for my taste. The onion tanglers were cold and the green beans were tasty. The salted camel bacon ice cream was interesting. I loved the ice cream and the salted Carmel but I didn’t care for my first bite of chewy fat of bacon. Though I did try another bite for a 2nd go around and I still didn’t like it… I would have preferred the cream brûlée.

The Rocks serves really deliciously prepared great meals. Though it’s in a small tourist town, even their winter menu offers unique choices. Try the amazing flash fried spinach. SO good! The guys’ favorite is the bacon wrapped meatloaf sandwich. And the bar offers more than just the usual beers on tap. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is hometown friendly and casual. Eager for summer when we can get there by boat.

Really good food and reasonable prices. We ate in the upstairs dining room Saturday evening with three generations, ages 11 — 65. We got steak, salad, sandwiches, and seafood, and it was all really good. I especially loved how fresh everything tasted. The salad was very fresh mixed greens with a yummy homemade dressing, and the grilled chicken was moist and tasty. My nephew’s steak looked delicious. My daughter and other nephew devoured their fish/chips and sandwich. The kids and I finished an entire huge plate of broccoli — kids wolfing down broccoli = yummy veggies! Next time I want to try dessert, but we were just too full this time. I also want to try the Fried Spinach. I saw it on someone’s table as we were leaving, and it looked like perfectly pan-sauteed spinach with garlic, yum. So happy to find a good place to eat in Kimberling City!

We only stopped in for drinks and appetizers on a Sunday evening. Apparently we hit them up right before closing but still sat outside on the patio which was nice on a nice night but I was sat right in front of one of the patio lights that blinded me. Everytime my husband moved, I had to move with him to stay in the«shade». My Bud Light draft tasted skunky and like it was half water. I sip and and I wanted to gag. We ordered the chips and queso which was pretty good but the fried oysters were not good at all. Overly battered and huge, they just were not that tasty. We missed the live entertainment unfortunately. I was a bit surpised by the menu since I thought this was a local pub or hangout. The menu wasn’t really bar food at all. Tuna nachos? Really? Maybe next time I am in Kimberling City I will give it a try. Perhaps we caught them wanting to close up and just didn’t order right.
