Rough day of driving all over the Northern Neck scouting out retirement possibilities. At 8:30pm I realized I hadn’t eaten and that almost all the restaurants I had passed wee closed for Memorial Day. After a few stops at random dollar stores I found a lovely woman in Reedsville who told me that KC’S might be open. I called and they said they would serve me dinner til 9:30. I expected to find mozzarella sticks and frozen soups and calimari. To my delight the menu had raw oysters as well as gumbo and tons of other seafood specialties. I totally enjoyed the Wicomico oysters. juicy and sweet with nice brininess. Then I had a small order of the fried oysters and was doubly delighted. Light breading, plump oysters from the Bay. Lucky me. Great service. they greeted me like a friend. Country juke box, billiards tables make it a cool place to come next time with my husband and more people. But eating as a single was great too. Owner said hello and«glad you made it!» $ 40 with glass of Malbec and tip.

Nice seafood spot… polite staff and plenty of seating. All the food was good… especially the bisque. Only suggestion would be to put a little more spice into the crab cakes.

Delicious homemade burger. Just like at home. So good. Sit in room with windows because it feels nicer with the fresh sunlight coming in. Tea did not taste fresh brewed.

Arguably the best soft shell sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Great service and creative sides as well. A nice surprise. Pool anyone?

Decided to try this place tonight. It’s a bar that has a seating area for food. First — Can’t believe it’s rated $$ instead of $$$.(OK — I just checked the range for prices and it fits the $$ category, but for the quality of the food it’s REALLYEXPENSIVE) Most entrees were $ 22 or above. Second — Here are our entrees; Crab Wicomico(crab meat in a dish, buttered and broiled), butter bean(veggie of the day) and cole slaw; Shrimp Alfredo, crab chips(homemade chips seasoned with Old Bay) and potato salad. Crab was very good. Lot’s of meat and no filler. Butter beans were disgusting. Straight out of the can and they simmered in a pot all day so they were nice and mushy. Cole slaw was edible but it was right out of the plastic container as well. Shrimp Alfredo — small shrimp but OK. Looked like they used egg noodles instead of any recognizable pasta. If chips had Old Bay on them you could have fooled me. Potato salad? — right out of the same container as the cole slaw Service was good. Our waitress kept the iced tea flowing without any prompting. Didn’t push the drink selection but they did have Blue Moon on draft.

A group of 4 made the drive from The Tides, in Irvington for a night of Shag lessons, which turned out(to our great delight!) not only Shag, but Salsa and Line Dancing! We as visitors were welcomed as if they’ve known us forever. We all soon got personal lessons and took part in the multigenerational FUN! CUDOS!!! To the owner of this fabulous restaurant and hangout for providing not just the best steamed clams and fried sampler that ever smacked our lips… but the coldest beers and most excellent and friendly waitstaff in all of this FUN!!! We got second orders of their yummy hush puppies and vowed to return to sample all of their delicious and reasonably priced menu. We will return to this JEWEL!!! Absolutely LOVE, love it!!!

MR burger came 30 min later WD; ask who’s in the kitchen. Chicken wings with hot sauce and ranch dressing get 5* for flavor. Order them.

Came here for lunch during Memorial Day weekend and we enjoyed it. The interior decoration is horrible, but the food is decent and the prices are very reasonable. A good place to grab a quick bite, but certainly not a date-worthy spot.

We were out if towners looking for a good bite around 8pm on a Sunday when everything else appeared to be closed. Warm staff, good food, and very clean. Hubby and I both got the flounder sandwich, which was fried but very good for bar food. Rest of menu was closed for the night but looked excellent.

Pretty good food and everyone is very friendly and courteous. Fun atmosphere. Great entertainment when they have it. Cold beer on tap. One of the best prime rib I have ever had. They have a great entertainer there on Sunday nights — Pat Moore. Pat plays mostly country, but he is quite versatile. Call ahead and make sure he is there.

Another unpretentious restaurant located within the boundaries of small town Kilmarnock. The place is only a few years old so the wood floors still gleam and the pool tables are intact. It’s kept clean and the service is pretty good. For me, this is a great place to get a sandwich and drink a few beers. The prices are pretty reasonable — when the food is good. It’s hit-or-miss at times, especially with the seafood. In my opinion, the crab cakes are horrendous. They’ve even caused me to get very ill after one particular visit. That’s why I now stick to the sandwiches. They do have AYCE dinners which are a great option for all the seafood lovers in the area. I believe Wednesdays are the AYCE shrimp nights, for less than $ 20! As I mentioned, service is pretty good, depending on who you get. Kudos to Rachael and Priscilla for always running their butts off providing great service to customers. They’ve always been attentive and gone the extra mile when taking care of my family when we dine here. They also have live bands, a DJ or karaōke at night after 8:30pm. Check in with KC’s to see who’s playing & when. Some bands are popular & can bring in a very large crowd. They also have a pool league here which is another popular activity.

Unpretentious, great time. Killer service and good food. We visited on a busy night — barely a space left in the lot. A nice server held the door for us and helped us look around for a seat — we landed at the bar which was our preference anyway. Bartender had drafts in front of us in seconds. Split a fried seafood platter which was amazingly good … scallops and oysters especially. The beers kept coming, music kept playing, and we had a great time in general. Happy with the bill, too. I took a peek at the tables on the way out … couple 9ft and a bunch of 8ft, bar style, well used felt but not bare. Hope to play there sometime.

One of the go-to places in the Northern Neck for a non fussy, yummy meal. Their seafood is quite good and they often have«all you can eat nights» which are a great deal. The waitstaff is super friendly and make the meal extra good! I have friends who go here at least twice a week-it is that reliable. Bands and karaōke are also mainstays at the restaurant and make for a fun night! Overall a good place to go hang out, have a meal, play some pool with no fancy frills, bells or whistles. Oh I agree with the previous reviewer about the too many $$$$. A meal at KC’s will not break the bank.

I have no idea why this place is listed as $$$$. It’s more of $ or $$. The food is great and a hell of a deal for what they charge. They raised their prices a little bit a couple months ago but it’s a good deal. The Crab Wicomico is probably the best thing on the menu. The beer is cheap and flows like water. The wait staff is very friendly as you’d expect on the Northern Neck. The only downside is the crowd. Sometimes the DJs bring in the hoodrats.
