Okay, this my last visit here. My mouth no longer respects me. Oh well. I hope the Chinese people eat better than this in China.

They are very nice, brought my order to the table even though I ordered take out. They offer standard Chinese fare. I ordered Hunan style and it was not spicy, perhaps due to the local clientele(small town Southern –ish). Maybe I should have told them I like real Hunan spicy. They have real bok choy, something many Chinese places seem to think is the same as celery. It was fair to good, and the shrimp were very large. The mushrooms were fresh and large, another surprise. The broccoli was a bit too large, and a bit soggy and cooked a bit too long.

Not really sure how this business has survived in this small town, but if I were to guess, it’s probably due to the cheaper prices. And here you get what you pay for. Overly greasy food that very much lacks in taste. It’s located in the Food Lion shopping center and is small. The kitchen(which you can clearly see into) is old, dirty, and takes up most of the space within. There are a few tables inside for dining in, but this is mostly a take-out place. The service provided here is minimal and the employees lack in friendliness/personality department as well. Could be due to the language barrier, but they never even look happy to see their customers. My advice would be to go up the street to the Great Fortune restaurant for quality Chinese food with great service. The owners, Fiona and Charlie, will remember you and take the time to engage in conversation. A completely different experience over there.
