Me and my family came here two weeks ago on a Sunday. I ordered their Sunday special which was appetizer, main course(steak), and dessert. I wanted grilled shrimp with my steak which the menu says they have. When the steak and shrimp came to the table the steak was more like a roast beef it was sliced already and the shrimp was wrapped in bacon. I asked the waiter why was it wrapped in bacon she informed me that’s all they had. I told her that the menu didn’t mention. Bacon wrapped shrimped. I said it’s okay I’ll try it little did I know that the food was under cooked and within a matter of minutes I couldn’t hold the food down. I was sick for the rest of the day. It was my first and last time.

After our previous experience we returned for Texas Land and Cattle’s chance at redemption. The food was much better, the server was much better as well. Somehow our son’s vegetable side dish was missing, he loved our dinner and bread, so the missing side was not a problem. If you went here before, clearly something changed and they are doing great! We will return!

Never again!!! It was the worst experience ever. I ordered the 9 oz. sirloin which supposedly is what they’re known for. The waitress asked if I wanted the add-ons so I ordered garlic, mushrooms and grilled onions which were totally inedible. I complained that there was so much pepper on the onions I was choking. Her response? «We get that a lot». She said when they get the first complaint, the manager has the cooks clean the grill because they just keep peppering food and cooking in it until someone complains. My steak was so tough I couldn’t chew it, I’ve had better baked potatoes at Wendy’s for .99. For my granddaughter and I to have dinner the bill was $ 52.01. Unbelievable — next time I want steak I’m going to HEB. If I could rate this place negative stars, I would.

So, we made reservations, because we know Friday nights are always busy. No problem there. When we arrived, there were three hostesses at the front of the restaurant and all three acted like we had horns growing out of our heads and were snotty towards us. No big deal. The real problem started when we ordered our food. My husband and I ordered the bone-in Ribeye steak… the meal costing $ 31.99. My son ordered a burger. We also ordered an appetizer. So the waitress is nice enough, but clearly uncomfortable and«scattered». Our salads come. Taste great. Then our meal comes. Since she never brought our appetizer, I told her it was too late now, and just take it off the ticket. She immediately apologizes and said she forgot to submit the order for the appetizer. Grrrr. Getting irritated. As I said, the meal came. It looked amazing! Beautifully cooked steaks and sides. My son’s burger was perfect. HOWEVER, when my husband and I tried the steaks, they were EXTREMELYSALTY! My husband’s was worse than mine and said his tasted like the lid fell off shaker when they were seasoning the steak. I kept mine and ate a portion of it, but my husband sent his back. The manager came out and apologized and re-ordered a fresh steak for him. Great, right? But what this meant was that my son and I were done with our meals and my husband sat there with nothing. On top of that, once the manager brought out the new steak, it was COMPLETELY unseasoned and they didn’t replace the side. So, the side he had initially was cold now. So, we just put his steak in a to go box and left. We were given two silly cards for free appetizers, but we won’t be returning! Horrible experience for the most part. At $ 32, I expect a better meal. Sadly, my German Shepard and Jack Russell got to share the steak! Expensive meal for dogs! Sorry to fuss, but rotten experience!

Had our Christmas Party here! Best food and service in Killeen that I have had in a long time. Had the bacon wrapped shrimp and a filet cooked well done! Can’t wait to go back!

This place was ok. Kinda weird but they told us not to eat from the Mexican part of the menu? I guess average at best just drive a little further and go to hooters

Terrible service. Lied about entrees. Waiter was clueless and never once refilled drinks. Did not receive any bread. When asked if we were supposed to get bread he acted clueless. Ridiculous.

Had dinner here on a Friday evening. Atmosphere/ambiance: Place reminded me of an establishment from the late ’70’s/early 80’s. Could be a set for Fargo season 2. Wait staff: our waitress constantly seemed in a rush. Rush to take out drink orders. Rush to take out meal orders. Rush to take the menus. Rush to give us the check. Rush for me to sign it. I had the fork in my mouth and she is asking if I am ready to pay. Hint: when you see the credit card sticking out of the check thing or see it laying flat(not standing like you left it) on the edge of the table it’s ready. Food: Bah Humbug. I thought moving to Texas I would get good steak almost everywhere. That definitely is not the case. Won’t be eating at this chain steak joint again but you may like it. Enjoy!

The only reason I gave it one star was because I had to, that is to leave a review. We got there at 5:35 and got seated. At 6 we finally were able to order drinks, by 645 our food came and it was cold…72 dollars down the drain. No wonder the parking lot wss empty. Horrible food…

On the way to the hotel in Killeen from Austin airport, my colleague and I were very hungry. It was almost 7PM and had a light breakfast early in the morning. Yes, it was the airplane meal, which was next to nothing. We saw the Texas Land & Cattle and decided to stop here and get some dinner. We were informed that this was pretty good place from others who have been here. With that info and as we were shown to our seats, we had fairly high expectations. Stupid, stupid and stupid! The server took about 15 minutes to bring our drinks and 45 minutes for our food to come out. I love BBQ ribs and that is what I ordered. Terribly mistake on my part. It was one of the worst ribs I have eaten anywhere. Since, I really don’t have anything good to say about our experience, this will be kept as a short review. Will I go back here when I am in the area again? Sure, absolutely! Not!

Everything is truely bigger in Texas. I’m from New Jersey so this review is going to have so much passion and love behind it. Huge portions, delicious food, great menu. Dessert portions are very big too. Another great steakhouse in Texas. My hubby and I had ordered ribs and steaks, it was cooked to perfection, medium rare and medium for me. Hopefully someday I can go back and eat here!

Me and the wife were skeptical after reading these reviews but Texas Roadhouse was closed so we went here by default and dang are we glad it was closed! The«threesome» appetizer had us full before we even got our food. And the shiner bock salmon was probably the best grilled salmon I have ever eaten. My wife had the cheesesteak and fries, and she loved it as well. We eat out a lot so I hold my 5 stars close to my heart. This place was gonna get 4 stars until my bourbon pecan pie showed up at the table and 5 stars it is!

A great restaurant, my party and I arrived with 14 and no reservation. We were sat promptly and in a private room off of the main dining area. We enjoyed the service of two waitresses which I felt was appropriate for the size of the party. Individual checks were requested at the beginning of the meal and we’re delivered without error at the end. Bread was provided and drinks came with the only errors being a water with ice when tge request was for none and a forgotten coffee. Appitizers consisted of breaded jalapeños stuffed with brisket and crab cakes, both of which were enjoyed by the table. The main course was a 20 Oz porterhouse steak with grilled broccoli on the side. The broccoli was grill perfectly with out burns or loss of a slight crunch which set the mood for a delicious medium rare steak that had been peppered and salted in a way that brought out the flavor of the beef. The slight fat had curled at the edges and made a tasty addition to some of the bites and the bone was easily cut away from the meat. The overall assessment of the group was that we received great service and will be returning if ever in kileen, tx.

We went to Texas Land & Cattle for late lunch on Mother’s Day. After finding 6 other restaurants listed as open on Unilocal closed today, I was happy just to find FOOD. Little did I know that the chef is unaware of the American custom of treating mothers to lunch or dinner on this holiday. We waited about a half hour to be seated, even though a few tables were open that could have accommodated our small family. Our waitress was very sweet and apologetic, stating repeatedly how backed up they were today. I recommend the crab cakes appetizer! I have high standards when it comes to crab cakes and these didn’t disappoint. The chicken enchilada soup is tasty as well. It has a subtle smokey flavor. My filet Oscar was unimpressive. I’ll let my husband write his own review of his steak, which was overcooked, then undercooked.

I came here three years ago and it seemed like a very classy, romantic date worthy place to take a gal for some steak and wine. Now the atmosphere has kind of shifted to an almost sports bar level of casual. The food is excellent and the menu has a huge assortment of options separated by the«lands» of texas. They have seafood, south of the border, and of course plenty of steak options. I had the peppercorn ribeye and it was perfect. For an appetizer I shared the Mexican shrimp cocktail and it was really good. It was served in a margarita glass which was great presentation but hard to scoop out of when you got halfway through. The service was great. My dates steak was ordered rare and came out well done. The waitress made sure she cut into it before she left and caught it on the spot. She apologized way too much(must get a lot of grief around this place) and fixed it on the spot. The manager on duty brought out a new steak and apologized wayyyy too much again. If I had to guess if I would have complained I could have gotten something comped but that’s not my style. The beer selection is depressing. They have very little variety but they do have several Texas brewed beers on tap which is a plus. The wine selection is quite robust on the other hand. The main reason I am dropping stars is because of the atmosphere. I paid over $ 75 for two steaks, two drinks and an appetizer. Which is fine at a upscale, fancy, dress up nice steak house. But the atmosphere this place gives off is one of a chain sports bar restaurant. There was a birthday party for a kid there, a guy wearing a ball cap with a hook in it and flip flops. I felt so overdressed as I am sure the staff did based on their customer base. Overall the place is great minus the atmosphere to price ratio. I just can’t justify spending that much money even on the excellent food when I feel like I am in a chick fil a or Applebee’s.

Okay. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant ever, literally. We walked in and despite the place being empty, had to wait to be seated. Then we were seated right by the hostesses. We were the only people there
