First time here aGood food but beware. I found a dark hair on my tomato. Talk about gross! My husband however loved the soup and bread bowl since he had his wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Super affordable.

Horrible customer service I actually used to come and eat here all the time and have no problems and had great customer service but tonight I ordered a soup over the phone for a on pick up order the man that took my order didn’t didn’t save it and then wasn’t even knowledgeable of what products they sell the soup I ordered or should I say was trying to order they don’t sell anymore and haven’t sold for a year or more I got on the phone with a manager named Randy whom seeing non sympathetic whatsoever I I gladly took my business to Jason’s Deli McAlister’s you have officially lost another customer

Kids eat for 99 cents, every day, all day. The pasta taste great but the portions, especially the protein are lacking. The salads and taters are quite robust and delicious. Best iced tea(sweet and unsweet) in the area imo. Lunch is always busy during the week because of the base but still a decent spot for a working lunch especially with the recent interior upgrades.

Alright so this rating is not for their sandwich. I don’t take a liking to that BUT their broccoli cheddar soup was great & I had a great first experience in the customer service department. It was a very clean environment & like so many other fooderies around Cen Tex Expy, I’ve driven by it a couple hundred times & never thought to enter. I have a lack of interest for sandwiches although they don’t seem to lack in options or variety. The wait wasn’t long because it wasn’t bombarded with hungry impatient customers so I didn’t walk out wanting to smack someone across the face with my Grilled Chicken sandwich. That would have been a waste of my money. It’s attached to the Red Indian Bistro. It seems small on the outside but once you walk in, you’ll find a variety of seating as well as outdoor seating. BTW I enjoy free refills. I believe it’s only for a 32oz Sweet Teas but the again I could be wrong. A place worth trying but it wasn’t for me.

Only ate here once but they have the best strawberry lemonade! And love the Italian sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup.

Great selection of sandwiches, soups and stuffed potatoes. The place gets busy quick, but the food is worth a bit of a wait. I know there is a Panera Bread just down the street, but I’d give McAlister’s my money any day of the week. And the sweet tea — if that’s your thing — is to die for. The only negative thing I notice is the ordering process is disorganized and, as I mentioned, you can end up waiting quite a while for your food, even on to go orders.

Very friendly staff; all the girls are always smiling. Excellent atmosphere and I’ve never had an issue with food having to be remade or anything.

Came in about 830 last night, place have been completely remodeled. It look like a brand new restaurant the lady who is waiting on me went by the name of Charlie she was young enthusiastic and fun to deal with. I tried to give her a little bit of a hard time just for fun but she was smooth. the manager came out and got me some extra crackers. it was just a good deal all the way around. I had the grill chicken chicken salad it was awesome lots of meat lots of bacon plus with honey mustard the best sweet tea in Central Texas. If I could give it 6 stars I would

My wife and I had lunch here together and we both found plenty of options to choose from(despite being picky eaters). McAlister’s had a broad range of soups, sandwiches and«gourmet» spuds(and«combos»). I had the Veggi Club(hold the Ranch) and my wife had a salad; both were fairly proportioned for the price and McAlister’s offered free refills for our drinks. McAlister’s had a casual, open atmosphere and the ordering was done stand-up at a counter and delivered to table, similar to Panera, Atlanta Bread Co., etc. I would recommend McAlister’s Deli for a casual lunch in a more pleasant setting than a fast-food joint.

I have never had good service here. Tonight took the cake though. The girl at the counter is chatting up her friend while we all wait in line to order. Then proceeds to go get the manage to give them a discount. The worst part? The manager then chatted up the«customers”-again while everyone waited. The man in front of me left. I finally had to ask another employee passing by to take my order. Another employee, present for all of this, was too busy checking the restroom and adjusting the takeout counter to take anyone’s order-obviously wanting to make sure she can leave the second the doors are locked for the night. They were out of menus with food descriptions and apparently decided they didn’t need to give customers numbers when they ordered so employees were wandering around trying to figure out where food went. It was the most amazing display of inefficiency I’ve seen in awhile. Not ten minutes later, the manager is barking orders at the people in the back who are actually working. This totally explains the terrible service in this restaurant as the manager doesn’t even try to encourage good service and participates in the bad behavior. The employee taking my order asks if I want lemon in my water. I say no. She hands me water with lemon in it. I ordered ultimate nachos with veggie chili, I get meat chili and have to send it back. As much as I love their food here and appreciate the variety, I know I can’t eat here if I want to eat in a timely manner.

Great food, service, and tea. Their take out though… Not so awesome. My sister in law LOVES them and orders pick up all the time but gets annoyed that they ALWAYS mess up her order. To fix the problem, they give you coupons in order for you to leave happy. But they don’t really fix the problem. It just continues happening. And they keep giving out free stuff, which is nice, but it would be even more awesome if we could just get the other right instead. She doesn’t want free stuff, she wants what she orders…

I know, I know, now that Panera has arrived, who is going to McAlister’s? Well, me for one! I really like this place because their menu is huge and varied. I literally go blank every time I see the huge selection of sandwiches(grilled, hot, or classic), potatoes, soups, salads, and kids meals. Also, the customer service is top notch. It gets crazy busy at weekday lunch, but I try to go earlier or later than the crowds. Really good food!

Eh, I’d say it’s a step down from Paneras. The sandwiches are good don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind having lunch here, but it’s nothing to rave about. The sweet tea however is AWESOME. The environment is nice & clean, friendly staff, just nothing too special about the food.

Easily my family’s favorite restaurant in the area. I get a different sandwich every time and love them all especially the club and turkey Ruben. My wife loves the salads but always gets the chopped Savannah. Very good food and tea and they give a military discount.

Came here and was pleasantly surprised. Service was fast! Food was delicious. The prices aren’t bad. They have a great selection of food. Everyone was so kind. I had the Southwest Cobb Salad. It was delicious! The avocado was spicy so if you don’t like spicy, request without it. The cheese and broccoli soup was great!

I am from Hawaii and my sister said I had to try this place. I thought it was odd to order first, pay, get a number and wait for it. Anyways we got artichoke dip with chips, broccoli and cheese soup and ½ and ½ grilled sandwich of sweet chipotle chicken and spicy southwestern chicken and McAlister’s Famous Sweet Tea™. Overall it was an ok experience. I think if I had to compare this place to Firehouse Subs, this place is not that great. The artichoke dip and soup was cold. My sandwich was small for it size. The tea was sweet, but did not seem very special. Their bathroom was too small and one of the stalls did not have a lock?
