Usually skeptical of the restaurant in the hotel, but Peppercorns is an exception! I loved my crabcakes, hubby loved his prime rib. Poor server was overworked, but did the best she possibly could. Only negative– no cherry in my Shirley temple!

This restaurant is amazing. They have the most friendliest crew and serves. Very kind, helpful, and always on top of the refills. I defiantly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

Wonderful service. Delicious food. Great live music. Our server was very attentive and regularly checked on us. The music was the Wilder Brothers and they are a very talented duo. They sounded really good. The meal started with complimentary bread and butter. The bread was nice and warm. We both had the ribeye steak, baked potato and sauteed seasoned mixed vegetables. The steak was perfectly cooked as ordered and juicy. The potato was baked just right; moist and tender inside. The vegetables were a blend of yellow and green squash, red peppers and onions. I’m not really sure what the exact seasoning they were sautéed in but they were perfectly cooked. We had a great experience here and have nothing bad to say about it! I’m editing in breakfast. Same great experience. Our waitresses Sandra and Tami were extremely nice and funny. They tended to us constantly. They were a joy to dine with. Now these Chunky Monkey pancakes special of the day were off the hook. I added a picture but not sure if you can fully realize the massive quantity. Three of the fluffiest pancakes ever with bananas and chocolate chips in between. Then the top was covered is sliced bananas, pecans and drizzled in chocolate syrup. Add maple syrup on the side and you’ve got yourself a party on a plate. I had to split them with my husband as much as I hated to, lol. Again we have absolutely nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Both our dining experiences were spectacular!

We’re staying at the beach for a week, and we’ve had great experiences so far! This was not one of them. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was hardly edible. No salt or pepper sent, omelet sent without cheese in it, eggs benedict oily and tasteless. The worst offense was the monte cristo special, first the guy I spoke on the phone with had no idea what it was. I explained the sandwich and he said if it wasn’t in the preprinted menu it wasn’t available. He went to ask his manager and they approved it. It was sent with no berry sauce and was so greasy it actually left a puddle one plate. I feel bad because the hotel is quite lovely, but they truly need to work on the restaurant. As my boyfriend said ‘at least it was hot’

The food was all deep fried and tasted like it came straight out of a freezer. Was charged more than the menu prices numerous times and our drinks were never refilled. Terrible service!

Contrary to previous reviews, our breakfast experience was delightful at Peppercorns. We ordered the Steak & Eggs and the Wanda’s Special. Steak came out properly cooked to order and the side dishes were great. Coffees were heated up frequently and we received service with a smile.

For the amount of money you pay to stay at the Ramada they should really have a better restaurant on site or at least include the price of a meal, although it should just be free to deal with the horrible service you’ll get here. We stayed for four nights and went here for the breakfast the first morning, it was my last visit to this restaurant. When we arrived for breakfast there were only two other tables with guests and not large parties: I think one table was a couple with one small child and the other was a single fellow drinking coffee, we were seated by one girl another girl came and gave us water and told us she would be our waitress and then walked away. Then a few minutes later another young girl came over and told us that she would be our waitress and asked for our drink orders, and that she would be back for our food orders. After a few minutes she returned with drinks and took our order looking down the whole time and she looked like she was trying to walk away from us while we were giving her our order. The diet soda was pure syrup and the coffee/water refills were seemingly yet another irritation for our server whom you never saw at another table, she just disappears. After we ordered our food, which took about 15 min to come out she apologized for the wait. The waffle ordered was only a half of a waffle and when asked why it was a half order I was told that,“that’s where they getcha”. Really? I ordered a waffle because I wanted a waffle, not a half waffle. While eating my «country ham», which was more like Virginia ham, I discovered a large piece of wax paper cooked into a folded over piece of the ham, luckily I had unfolded it to cut it up and discovered it before I put it in my mouth. I asked to speak to the manager about it and he was apologetic but then he thought that he should let me know that it was«just how it was packaged». At this point I was so feed up I was just ready to leave. We were not charged for my meal. I later informed another employee of the hotel that we would not be spending any more money at their restaurant and she seemed to not really care.

I would like to start out by saying, that if the Ramada feels that the don’t have to include breakfast in the price of their rooms, then at least have a half way decent restaurant. This place is a joke. The whole time I sat here during my time I was disappointed. The servers were awful. All of them! Not one of them was nice, every single one had an attitude. This is a representation of what the Ramada has to offer and it was terrible. We went down at about 830 am to have a quick bite before we checked out. Our server gave us our drinks and then proceed to walk away with out offering any specials or anything. When they finally came back to take our order, she closed her book before we could finish ordering and was about to walk away while my husband was talking. The whole thing was rude. So while we wait for our food to come out, we waited for reheats on our coffee. Not once did anyone come by to check for a reheat. When we finally got the attention of the two girls gossiping at the hosts station, one of them walked over and with smug look asking«more coffee?» And the walked away. When she came back, acting as if she was upset that she had to work, she poured the coffee and spilt some on the table. The whole charade was a bit odd. Finally our food comes out. We both order the eggs Benedict with hash browns and a side of corn beef hash to split. The eggs were not hot, the muffins were hard(like hockey pucks) and the hash browns were to salty. The«Canadian bacon» was just Virginia ham. The whole thing was awful. As we’re finishing up our meal a 10 top walks in. One of servers is going around say«who wants coffee? Raise your hands. Who wants water, raise your hands.» It was extremely unprofessional, lazy and rude. I don’t understand how hard it is to take out a note pad and write down what each person wants. Lastly as I’m watching this unfold, I notice that there are only 4 tables in the whole dinning room. And there are 4 servers. What I don’t understand is how nobody came to check on us. Not once. Our server brought us our bill. And left. We went to the counter to pay and no one was there. Because apparently it takes 4 people to set up a 10 top. I work in the industry and if ever worked with these people I would quit. The food sucks. The service sucks. If I could lower the rating I would.

We had breakfast here three times during our stay at the Ramada. On days one and three, we got the same things: Eggs Benedict and fried eggs. The Eggs Benedict were alright, but they were COVERED in Hollandaise sauce. It was like cutting through pea soup. Also, they weren’t using real Thomas English muffins, so these poor substitutes could not stand up to all the sauce and got really soggy. My understanding is that the fried eggs were just fine. On the middle day, I got scrambled eggs with ham and cheese. Or as they understood it, cheese with scrambled eggs. I get that not every place has super-healthy food(I delightfully ate 6 cheeseburgers on this trip) but I don’t see how anyone can eat gallons of pure cheese or cream. We also got a pecan waffle, which was pretty good. The service was very friendly, and quite nicely, the prices were not the usual colon-gouging experience you expect in a hotel restaurant. So while it was not amazing, it was a very serviceable option to start the day.
