I usually stay at the Ramada which is just across the street from this place. It took me awhile to try them because they aren’t dog friendly and weren’t getting rave reviews. Time after time, I passed on the opportunity and went someplace else. One fateful morning, I really wanted to get breakfast out and they had take out which meant breakfast in the room with the pooch. I ordered and went over to pick it up. It was ready promptly and reasonably priced. I don’t recall how much but probably $ 6 – 7 dollars. How do you put a dollar amount on what I experienced? I may never call this place more than a breakfast spot. Why? The pancakes I ordered here were the best I’ve ever had. I’m still having delicious flashbacks to that day. They are light, fluffy, little pieces of fallen heaven formed into precious discs. Yes, you can quote me to your friends. But please, please experience this for yourself! I’m not exaggerating! Also, the pancakes are big. As big as my face BIG(see pic). I can’t wait to go back to Miller’s! Someday, I may venture here for dinner but I’m afraid they’ll never surpass the breakfast wizard imagery that’s running a muck in my mind! Long live, Miller’s Pancakes & Pancakes(new name suggestion).

Food was really good but also really expensive. Was over $ 100 for two adults and two teens… and one teen got a burger

Ample portions, super-polite wait staff and basically silent dogs(praise for the hush puppies). The hush puppies may be the best I have ever had and they sent us away with extras ‘to go.’ Was only in town for a couple of days, but everyone we traveled there with agreed that this was the best spot we sampled. All-around solid!

We had a really mediocre meal at outrageous prices. I would not have do cared about the cost if the food had been better. The crab dip was very fishy and all the scallop dishes were over-cooked. I thought the hush puppies were ok but not really hush puppies… more like doughnut holes. I would not return if back in the area.

We were looking for a looking for some good seafood on the OBX and stopped here. We were pleased to be able to sit right down on a Tuesday. It was July 4th week so we expected a wait. The wait staff and hostess were great, super friendly, and attentive. That alone boosted the star rating. The food was good and everyone was pleased with their dish. We had crabs, crab cakes, stuffed fish, stuffed shrimp and one person did have a steak. The hush puppies were great as well. What kept it from a 5 star for me was the portions were a little small for the money.

The food was average and over priced for the size of the portions but that would have not gotten them a bad review on it’s own. However for a place that is know for it’s hushpuppies how dose the kitchen stop making them. Ok so they didn’t have hushpuppies but when I asked for a refill on my ice tea and she brings back water and says they are now out of ice tea. This place has a problems and she did nothing to correct any of the problems. I say don’t waste your time with this place it is not worth it on any level.

We ended up stopping here for our last dinner in the OBX last Friday evening. We had a little bit of a wait, but that is understandable since it was a Friday evening during prime season in the OBX. The hushpuppies are REALLY good! Loved them. They were the best I have ever had, and they serve them with butter, not that you need it, but it does make them extra good We had the crab dip as an appetizer and it was full of crab meat. For my entrée I had the shrimp with a white cream sauce over pasta. Lots of shrimp and a nice not to heavy sauce. My husband had the crabcake dinner and he thought that their was very good and also full of crab meat. We splurged since it was our last night and had the chocolate cake, which was good! Overall a great last night dinner to end our vacation. Plus our server Courtney was fabulous! Would come back just for her!

Miller’s has kind of a diner feel. The staff was very friendly. We had bacon wrapped scallops and fried oysters. The scallops were great but the oyster were a little soggy and could have been fried longer. We plan on going back for another meal.

Food was okay, nothing to brag about. Eggs decent, hash browns bland like cardboard. Hotcakes good, coffee terrible. I could have handled this with it being a holiday weekend if the waitress had smiled even once. She acted as though she was bothered to be there and it wasn’t even that busy. Smile Leigh and you will get a better tip!

Awesome! We had the catch of the day a blackened swordfish. The presentation was very classy. Nice portion. Great selection of sides. Free basket of hush puppies that were the best I’ve ever had! Great selection of beers and«beachey» themed cocktails. Our waitress was Courtney She was fantastic! Would come back back again if ever in the area.

The lady who got my order said it will take 20 – 25 min to get ready then someone stopped her, then she said it will take 10 – 15 min & when i pick up my food it was COLD! In 10 min, all foods(2 appetizers &2main dishes &1 desserts) are ready & got cold??? Duh they must have gotten wrong order and somehow it canceled and resell to my hubby and me. will never visit again! never

We ate here for supper. What an awesome place! Our waiter Rose explained the menu & was the best waiter we have ever had. I had the red snapper & it was very delicious. The hush puppies were the best in the area. I would recommend this to anyone & we will be going here again. Miller’s on the waterfront is the same quality… I would also recommend it.

What a warm, upscale ambiance this seaside restaurant offers. First of all our waitress Rose was just a delight! Our dinner experience here was perfect! For starters we had the OBX lemonade and a Raspberry, Coconut Martini both delicious. When it came time to place our dinner menu we absolutely could not decide — everything looked delicious… not to mention our waitress Rose was informative and extremely helpful in explaining the menu. We decided on the warm crab dip for an appetizer, served with sourdough slices with a kick! For our main dinner meal we had the choose two trio(broiled scallops and friend shrimp) and the Grilled chicken sandwich. Our plates were clean! The food was tasty, served promptly and beautifully displayed. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced delicious meal, this is the place to go! Plus, ask for Rose and you’ll ensure your experience is a perfect delight!

I can’t say enough how much my family loves this place. The food there is amazing. No one leaves anything on plate. Kim is our waitress that we request and have been for the last 5 years our family has been coming to outer banks. She’s absolutely the best waitress on the outer banks. You will not be disappointed.

Went back for dinner soon after they opened for the 2015 season. Brought my significant other and a friend who had never eaten here. It was wonderful. Brandi was our server and was quick, efficient and friendly without being obtrusive. The hush puppies were so good. My steak was perfect, the softshell crab was delicious and the chicken entrée was also very good. One note… the vegetables are Fresh! No frozen stuff, those green beans were very good. We took desserts home and I had the key lime pie the next day. May have been the best key lime pie I ever tasted. I will have to go back to make sure! Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I came here for a dinner date on vacation. We sat on the back deck during the sunset. It was so romantic along the water. Great place for couples or families. The hush puppies are delicious! I would love to get engaged here some day

We went to this place on our way back home. We had a huge party. The service was excellent and the food was alright. It didn’t leave a huge impression on me. I’m a big breakfast guy and this place was decent. I think I’ll try this place again next time I’m in OBX

Came for dinner because the original restaurant we were going to eat at had an hour and a half wait time which was a bit long. Since we had planned to play mini golf after dinner. As we pulled into the parking lot. the car was in agreence that I should see how Unilocal rated it. 3 stars… well I told them it can be a hit or a miss. Especially since most of the reviews were for breakfast/brunch. We were eating dinner. We were seated after about maybe 5 mins… we thought we were going to be seated immediately since the hostess grabbed menus we followed her. But she was just setting up for another table. When we were finally seated it was in a large long booth. always awkward for a group of. 5 but eh… im a small person.(Probably a bonus for a close family). Our server introduced herself and the specials. which is always great because she pointed them out on the menu flap… I decided on the oysters(which are only fried) sadface because I was craving fresh oysters but hey i’ll take what I can get. Other orders of the table included the. mahi mahi with a citrus glaze and a mango salsa, the pasta bowl with Alfredo and steak and fried shrimp. All of our orders came with a basket of hush puppies and 2 sides. Our table was so excited to hear we got a basket of hush puppies… but these were a different take on the hush puppy. I’m used to the. Cornmeal savory ones and these were almost donut like. Not sure if it was a white cornmeal of if there was any cornmeal at all but they were on the sweeter side. Not bad tho nice crunchy exterior and slightly cakey. probably would have been good with jam/jelly but the whipped butter did add a little something. We finished our first basket and was brought out another… This basket was interesting because it came with tiny little hush puppies. lol so cute… it was bite-sized which I think was a bit better then the larger ones. Both still being pretty good. Oysters… there were a good amount of oysters. they weren’t big and they looked like they had a beer batter. Which probably would’ve been good if I didn’t over do it with lemon juice but… fried seafood usually needs a tad bit. And if you have a great batter this shouldn’t matter. But they ended up a bit on the soggy side. I usually prefer a cornmeal batter to my oysters but that is a personal preference. NMy. 2 sides were the vegetable of the day. Squash and zucchini which were nicely cooked still had bite to them not. Soggy and mushy like most places. These were chunks and not slices of them. The Red Skin Masters… jsut a redskins mash potato thick and creamy and buttery. I’m guessing there was sour cream… it was very good… probably a tad bit more salt would’ve been good but eh. Mahi Mahi– I heard that it had a nice kick it could either be grilled or blackened… those that ordered it said that it was good… one liked the spice the other said it was a tad to spicy. Mango salsa was sweet but balanced out the spice of the citrus glaze. Fish was a bit overdone. but still moist. Overall Miller’s is as the rating reflects for dinner… a 3… not bad not great just decent… service was good. I think we even had a hello for Mrs. Miller herself? She asked if we 2 of us decide not to eat tonight since our plates had been cleared while others were still eating… I told her that it was because the food was so good that we finished our plates. I’ll admit it is a bit pricey fo some dishes… but i’ll keep in mind that. there is a fresh quality of their seafood(caught a few miles from the restaurant) and the oysters were sweet and salty like they should be if they are fresh not fishy at all either or my oyster craving was satisfied even if they weren’t on a half shell.

Came for breakfast/brunch. Which first off they don’t offer very many options for breakfast. I started with a $ 6 Bloody Mary which I’m not sure had vodka in it. Then came the food. First up the grits, I my opinion there are very few places that do grits well, this place is not one of them. They were runny and hairy. Yes hairy, as in I found hair in them. Next my eggs, which I ordered over easy, not barely cooked. The plus the large chunk of egg shell I bit into really pissed me off. Then the pancakes. Like so many places in a rush they came out a little soggy and underdone. Overall this place was a huge disappointment, wouldn’t recommend.
