I went here twice and found it to be more than adequate for what it is. I can’t speak to the produce but hesitate to rate it less than four stars as we were able to find everything we wanted and needed in addition to being distracted by other interesting options offered. It is plenty busy so that tells me the locals use it too, rather than driving to Publix for instance.

Always a pleasure… small, friendly staff and get the local produce cause things can be pricey lower in the keys… love a local grocery

This place is relevant only because there is no other grocery store in the vicinity. I stayed in the area for a month and during a whole month i had several visits there(only reason being lack of other options) so more than qualified to write a reliable review. I pay attention to eat fresh and organic but there was almost nothing fresh and organic in that store, not even one time I left happy. How difficult is it to keep a few pieces of vegetables fresh? Extremely over-priced, under-stocked, rotting organic veggies and fruits, only a few items, that is all. And an abundance of chemical filled canned packaged groceries. They changed management twice while I was there but no improvement has been observed. Too bad.

Great little grocery store with exceptional deli counter and made to order sandwiches. Great sushi selection and other salads and stuff for a quick lunch to go.

This is a great IGA store. There are a lot of the products you’d find at the megastores right here. The one thing we love here is anything from the fresh meat counter. We’ve had beef, pork and chicken… all were great. The also have a fair selection of wine along with beer. One recent addition is sushi. It was good, too. We usually walk there, but there seems to be ample parking for cars, scooters and bikes.

Need a few things? Then this is a great local place to go. Need to do your monthly shopping? Then go elsewhere. They have a good selection for a smaller store as well as a good wine and cold beer selection. Overall a solid part of the local community.

I live in Old Town so Fausto’s Food Palace is VERY convenient for me but I’ll only shop there if there is an emergency. The groceries here are ridiculously overpriced, in fact you can find a lot of what they sell here for much cheaper at the Walgreens on Duval Street. If you do shop here check the expiration date on whatever you pick up, they do not remove expired food from the shelves.

A nice store that is located in walking distance of Old town Key West. If you are staying in Old town and need to pick up a few grocery items, this is the place to go. An additional benefit is you just about always see some colorful characters here who give you an insight into Key West life. I always enjoy a stop in here.

When you need groceries you have one two choices, going to Faustos or taking a car ride to the major groceries stores closer to the main entrance to the island. Selection is more limited than the major stores and the prices a bit more expensive, if if you want convience, this is a good choice. Remember, KW is at the end of the road which means cost to transport supplies to this location are higher. Faustos will add to your adventure and a feeling of being one the locals. You come to the island to live the culture. This is one of them.

We have had good luck with this grocery. Of course it is not a big box, go to the suburbs for vacation if that is what you want. Good place with a good selection of groceries. We have been there several times and always had someone ask if we needed help.

My friend and I popped into Fausto’s a couple times to pick up last minute cooking items. It’s a cute little grocery that carries the essentials and a few specialty items. Prices are a bit higher than at the larger chain grocery stores, but shopping here was close, quick and convenient.

We visit Key West often via sailboat and this store has everything! The meats are a bit pricey but you can restock on all your need. They also carry a good selection of wines!

We have been here a few times already on our week long trip to Key West. Pretty nice store. Definitely a Mom and Pop shop. Nice people that work there and a pretty good assortment of products. Prices are a bit steep, but in a place like Key West you would expect that.

We had a house with a great kitchen for a week. With 7 people, including 2 teenage boys, we chose to cook and eat in all but one night. Every day we would call Fausto’s and ask for the meat counter. They would let us know what fresh fish was delivered that day. We would make our order and Jimmy would hold it for us until we picked it up. We wanted to gorge on seafood because, after all, we were in Key West. But, if we had been inclined to eat more chicken, beef and pork, the choices looked amazing. Pasture-raised pork from Niman Ranch, Kobe beef, grass-fed beef and organic chicken were all available. Was is pricey? Yes, but the price reflected the quality and service, which in my book makes it a good value for the money. And it was WAAAAYYY cheaper than eating out. All seven of us at fresh, delicious meals for what it would have cost 2 people to go out. Ask for Jimmy, he will take care of you.

Convenient to Heron House. All the basic items you will need… like beer and stuff. A tad expensive but that is Key West.

Its one thing to be quaint and in keeping with Key West old world traditions; and another to be dated and overpriced. Sorry… everything here is 25−35% more then other places. Locals who traded in their automobile to live in old town and ride their bicycle to food shop get ripped off every day. Smaller sized upscale markers like Josephs in Palm Beach county have a vastly superior upscale assortment, and prices that often beat the big box stores. To make matters worse service is so slow. The deli counter seems to take forever, prepared foods look old and nasty… and limited, meat is choice but prices like prime and produce is nothing special… and expensive. I think this place seriously needs updating, better choices and more affordable prices. I fail to see any charm or advantage to shopping here.

Fausto’s is a good little grocery in Old Town Key West. It is convenient(within walking distance) to most of the Old Town hotels and inns. Parking is easy and the staff is helpful. They have a very good beer and wine selection and a pretty fair deli. There prepared foods are very good as well. They put together an excellent carry-out dinner for those folks that just have to have their turkey onThanksgiving Day. It is darn near as good as home cooked. It is a little pricey but, the convenience is worth it.

I stopped in here my third time today to get a few things. I like this store simply because it’s close by, and it kinda reminds me of a place called The Hub in Houghton Lake, MI. It’s an ok store with the basic necessities. It’s NOT the store to go to for stocking up on your empty cupboards and your fridge filled with a half a sick of butter and a bottle of beer. Save that for the Bigger stores. This place is SUPPOSED to be a gourmet-specialty store from what I gather, but after living in Ferndale, MI for so long and hitting up the likes of the following…: …Well, let’s just say I’ve been spoiled. So no offense, Fausto’s. You got some work to do to catch up with the big boys. Meanwhile if you click above on the 3rd link you will find Papa Joe’s. A Birmingham store with Birmingham prices… That means Expensive. Fausto’s has Birmingham prices for… well… nothing amazing. But look, I’m not crapping all over this store. Like I said, I’ve been here three times. It’s a nice store but it’s NOT worth the price you pay to shop here. I just think they’re catering to the walking/biking/tourist crowd and they KNOW it so they charge a little more. And I’m going to go back again. So this place is SOLID3. I can’t give it more and I most certainly wouldn’t give it less. Besides, I’ve seen a cute girl in there shopping every time I go there so they score points on the Single Guy scale. I’ll be back.

«Going down to Fausto’s to get some chocolate milk, can’t lie forever in your sheets of silk… my head hurts, my feet stink, and I don’t love Jesus.» Yeah, this is THAT Fausto’s.(There’s one on White Street that I could review, but I’m not going to, because 99% of you are never going there unless you live here or pretend you do… or really have a bad travel agent that put you in some out-of-the-way accomodations.) Big points because it’s local, and Key West is in danger of losing some of the local flavor that it’s always been able to retain, because evil developers and some speculative but unscrupulous types try to homogenize the island. NOTETOKEYWESTERS: People come to your island because you’re unique. Add McDonald’s, CVS Pharmacies, «luxury» condos and Krogers/Publix/Winn-Dixies and you eliminate the character. Big points because they deliver. And that includes beer & wine. Little points for having a decent wine selection and an ok selection of fresh fruits & veggies. Negative points for a piss-poor seafood selection. Ditto for the meats. Very Key West, and in need of your support to stave off the Grocery-In-A-Big-Boxes of the world.
