Authentic original place. Family owned and run. Great place to get a coffee and sandwich. There is another 50 miles North near Bahia Honda.

Get there early for fresh guava pastries!!! You can’t get enough. Authentic and melt in your mouth. Old style Cuban hangout and the con Leche is a must to go with the pastries. Love the feel of the place and always a line up. Try to go before 10 am.

I’ve been coming to Key West for 25 years and my folks are local. I go to five places in KW to eat and this is one of them. Best Cuban Mix and Café Con Leche ever! Never misses

Café con Leche. The best in Key West and the most consistent. Quick service too. Worth the early morning walk.

Get the cuban mix, Get the cuban mix, Get the cuban mix! This cute little grocery/supply store/deli is out of the way, but a cute walk off of the main streets. There isn’t anywhere to sit inside, but they have a few chairs outside of you can find a spot out of the sun. We walked down the street and ate our sandwiches on other park benches. The young lady behind the register wasn’t all that friendly, but no worries. My cubano eating expert of a husband highly recommends and says they are the best, I can’t deny — these sandwiches are delicious!

Amazing little spot that has a great café con leche and delicious sandwiches. I would stop in on my way to work and always got a café con leche, so amazing. The Cuban sandwich was really good and they also have these homemade cinnamon roll muffin pastries that are really good. The grocery store has really good chips and snack and you are able to buy wine there too which is awesome. Owner is super nice and always friendly.

Yes, yes yes… back at the home sweet home!!! This store sell cuban sandwiches and they are GREAT!!! That is the only thing I come here for when I am in town. The people are nice and the staff is great. The store is small but I just go to the back and get my sandwich! Love it. Key West!

One of the many great surprises I found in Key West when we were willing to go outside the main tourist area. ITISCASHONLY! That aside, everything was great. The breakfast sandwich was great and a good size for a great price. The cuban coffee here was my favorite of all the ones I tried on my trip.

Heard about this place from a local and walked over on the day of our Key West arrival. Ordered the Traditional Cuban sandwich which was delicious! If you aren’t terribly hungry, you can split this between two people. Their Café con leche is also a must. 5 Brothers, a small corner grocery, is a pop in and out kind of place. There is no seating but a few chairs outside. I suggest picking up a sandwich and walking around until you find a spot with some shade. Once seated, tear into that Cuban sandwich with vigor people, it’s legit!

Had the customer service been a little bit better would have given 5 stars. The food was delicious and we’ll worth 5 stars or more, however, the young lady behind the taking orders and ringing them up had little customer service skills.

Great local sandwich shop! I ordered the traditional Cuban sandwich and I was not disappointed. The café con leche is supposed to be the best on the island as well. Would definitely recommend the sweet potato fries as a side.

OFFTHEHOOK! Visited this place multiple times. Always some variation of a Cuban sandwich and a café cuban(espresso). I would say this is one of the best Cuban sandwiches I have ever had plain and simple. If in KW go to this spot! They are closed on sunday. :(

Upon recommendation of a Cuban lady we met in key west we found 5 brothers. 1. like most of the service attendants we met in Key West. They were very UNFRIENDLY. 2. The«authentic» Cuban sandwich was nothing more than a ham sandwich. 3. Their Bollos, tasted like fried mush. Flavorless. 4. The conch fritters tasted as though the grease they were fried in was about 30 days old. Zagat? Really?

What a gem in Key West. I read about this place in the New York Times(Feb. 2015 article on Cuban coffee in town) and our cab driver confirmed it has the«best» Cuban sandwich in town. The store is located on a sleepy residential corner — far enough from the touristy parts of Key West but still an easy walk too. It is one part convenience store(soda, snacks, newspapers), one part kitchen supplies(specialty pans, local ingredients), and one part food establishment. Our two favorite items were the Café con Leche(steamed milk + espresso) and the Cuban sandwich. The Café con Leche was a great coffee drink and only $ 2.75 for a large cup. But, really, the Cuban sandwich is one of the best things I have eaten — ever. The bread is fresh and the ham is shaved for the sandwich as soon as you place the order. It comes with the perfect amount of mustard and pickles too. Just awesome. There is no seating inside 5 Brothers so just snag one of the 6 plastic chairs on the sidewalk. You will see a steady stream of local Key West residents making their way to the store too.

A great place to grab a bite to go. Easy to find. Street parking, but easy to find a spot for the car close by. My fiancé had the steak sandwich and a medium cuban coffee con leche($ 1.95). I had the fried chicken sandwich. Total cost $ 16. He loved what he got, mine was just ok. Though we took it to Smather’s beach to eat it since there is no seating inside. There are a few tables outside. Good service. Nice local place, not a ton of people. We would eat here again.(Considering you pay about $ 3 at Starbucks for a not so great coffee the price is totally worth it for a Cuban coffee here).

Excellent and authentic sandwich shop — for a change from touristy places in Key West. Policemen get their cuban sandwich here !

Super! Love the family bizz atmosphere. Both locations offer the same love and personal touch! My all time fave is the breakfast Cuban sandwich. I like bacon, egg and cheese– today I added tomato– a great choice. On Fridays their special is Ox/tail another personal favorite! Call to reserve your orders, they will sell out! Over 3 decades of family tradition. — you can also pick up newspapers, Cuban favorites and other groceries.
