The food was very good, but the service wasn’t great. We were sat immediately, which was great, but after we ordered the service tanked! The location is very nice, and it wasn’t busy, which was also good, but again, service one we sat was lacking.

Had a quiet, leisurely early dinner on Wednesday evening. Have dined here several times but this was by far not up to the quality we’ve previously experienced. We had the«maxi cut» prime rib and ordered it cooked«medium.» The center of the cut was tough and had to be eaten in small bites. The salad bar was the best part of the meal — delicious as usual! Ordered a «slice» of key lime pie for dessert and got a «SLIVER.» Pretty small portion that was about one inch wide at the outside(crust). Other area restaurants also serve prime rib for significantly lower prices. The atmosphere here is a definite draw, but there were 3 – 4 tables of 6 – 12 customers that got pretty loud, which made the window-side dining area quite noisy.

Everything was fabulous! The views, the cleanliness, the ambiance, the servers, and the food were 5 star all the way. We will continue to dine at this establishment whenever we can.

Came to Cedars for an after work event. Old, out dated and sad service and menu. No luck in the lounge of getting our server to help much, the beef bites, while tasty, looked like dog chow, and the sad garnish of kale drove me back to the 70’s. Ownership needs to stop resting on their bums and wake up in this century.

I have been here several times with great service. Last time was with business associates and had terrible service and not so good meal. Very embarrassing. I didn’t leave a review, but should have. Came back with family for one last chance and was pleasantly surprised.(I was a little reluctant after the latest reviews). I will say, service was great, food was great. The steaks were cooked just as ordered. You could see the manager working hard to make sure things went well. Good job. Was sad to see the place was very vacant for a Saturday night. I hope they are going to continue to get better with service. Love this place. A well trained staff is a well enjoyed establishment. Love to support local business. So 5 stars for you! Thank you.

Terrible service on a Sunday night. We had a party of ten and they made us move to different sides of the restaurant and close out with one of the servers. No manager came to talk to us, the drinks were not appealing and were over priced. Definitely never coming back here. The new server was much better when they relocated us.

Dave! My apologies for the name. My memory serves me it was the end of June. If I remember correctly it was just two jack and cokes. I appreciate your apology. And see that it’s pretty common you are apologizing for those who work for you. I Unilocal irregularly, but often enough to read and heed warnings. You seem like a good man who genuinely cares. One lady said it best, «you’re getting sterling silver when you could be swimming in gold or something to that effect» lovely location, but the bad experiences are piling up. The certificate was given a year ago in June, it was for the price of the meal which was 80 bucks. It was never used and probably tossed out when the table was cleaned. No complaint was filed at the restaurant. I obviously didn’t jump on right after the experience. I discussed it with the lady and she suggested I update like I said I would. I am sorry I don’t remember the exact day. It was in June, the month it was set to expire a year from the time you issued the last certificate. Good luck Dave I wish you well.

We are never dissapointed. The only steakhouse in the Tri Cities that we come back to. The atmosphere is amazing right on the river, and the food is delicious.

Cannot say this was a pleasant experience! First started out by waiting 15 minutes to order our food, then we proceeded to the salad bar where much to our surprise was a e-cigarette vapor strawberry flavored container in the lettuce. After our food arrived the waitress never came back even though we asked for ketchup. Also our chicken never arrived and when asked about it received a blank stare from the server for being charged for it! She quickly offered it to go! After such a weird experience I wanted to bring this to the managers attention and was told, sorry! I sure hope other customers were aware of the bottle in the salad as that is a health code violation and disgusting! I don’t ever plan to return to this restaurant!

Oh my goodness. Where to start? Everything was great. The view is amazing. Go at dusk and watch the colors change as the sun sets. The drinks were so tasty. They make daiquiris with fresh fruit, and let me tell you, it makes a huge difference. The food, yes pricey, but you get what you pay for. I had the sea food Alfredo. I was so bummed when I found out it came with olives, because I hate olives. Well, they work magic back there. I could not get enough. The sauce was that good and the seafood well cooked. The boyfriend got the pork chop. It was a giant portion. It impressed me. I’ve never had a portion that large anywhere. And it was so well cooked and seasoned. I can’t day enough good things about the food. Had crème Brule for dessert, it was good, smaller than I would have liked. Not really enough to share, but it was so tasty. All in all, this spot is my favorite in the Tri Cities.

I can’t stand the service here. I was in there with two doctors and two lawyers and the server told us «in a fine dining establishment you can’t order an app for dinner you have to order an entrée». All A few of us wanted was an app. We were also told we can’t order a salad with an app. The servers in the bar«are not specially trained to serve food». Hmmmm honestly weirdest place to eat ever!

This is our favorite place to go for a romantic dinner or for an appetizer and a Rum Barrel! Love the salad bar and bread. The view of the water is awesome. Even better is to sit on the patio and watch the sunset. We love the fact that the restaurant is family owned and not a chain. Be prepared to be stuffed when you leave!

I love Cedars! The food is amazing, the service is great, and the owners are super nice! The rum barrels are my favorite drink and the cheese sticks are the best I’ve ever had! The view of the Columbia river are stunning! I’m not sure if I enjoy the patio in the summer or the crackling fire in the winter more! Great place any time of year!

To Dan: you had two reserved tables in the bar that were never seated. You specifically told me that they had to be seated by no later than 6. It was AFTER6 when I had inquired about said tables… you should have given the tables up, instead of making some invalid excuse.

Had the Chicken Oscar and was VERY disappointed. I was craving a rich, creamy dish with a touch of crab. Instead I got what tasted like a cinnamon roll with mushy asparagus and the portion of crab far out weighing the chicken. I don’t think the staff had been properly trained as our waitress seemed awkward and even made fun of my husband for not realizing she had placed the dessert menu on the table. The view is nice, ambiance is good but that’s not enough to keep visiting.

There is not a bad seat in the house here. Each table in the dining room offers a sweeping view of the Columbia river beginning at the sunset behind the Blue Bridge to the lighted Cable Bridge. The interior is furnished in rich, dark wood. After being impressed by the view, we were quickly disappointed. It took about 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged after being seated, and another 20 minutes to receive our drinks due to a miscommunication between server and bar. Elapsed time from seating to check = 1.75 hours. They were not particularly busy, either. The Smoked Salmon Pasta was so bad we did not even get a doggy-bag. The dog would have protested. It was sour as if someone spilled lemon juice in the sauce. The sauce was brown so it did not look appetizing from the get-go. For almost $ 40, you would expect better presentation. Another almost $ 40 plate was their fish of the day special. Small portions, lackluster presentation. The salad bar was no better than the Grannie Buffet’s bar. Overpriced. I’d go to Anthony’s for a better value.

Never had a bad meal at this place, great experience & great food, what more could you want, if your a boater this is really the place to tie up and hang for awhile & the beverages aren’t bad either … Just spent a few minutes reading some of these old reviews, I’m not sure if these are about the same place that I’ve been going, but I realize some people are never going to be happy or polite with there reviews & so be it, but I still stick with my original review, this place has been more then good to me and my family and I will continue to favor them in the future …

The restaurant itself is nice, if a bit dated in the décor. Our server Kourtney was friendly and attentive. The food, however, was sub-par at best, and considering the prices, I cannot in good faith recommend The Cedars to anyone. My husband and I wanted a nice dinner out to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a promotion that I just got at work. We decided on The Cedars after realizing that he’s never taken me there before. We ordered the pan fried oysters as an appetizer. They were overly breaded, under seasoned, and gritty with sand. I ordered the seared Ahi after being assured that it was fresh, not frozen, fish. My husband ordered the ribeye, medium rare. When our food arrived, both entrees were overcooked. My husband isn’t that picky, so he ate his steak as it was served, but my tuna was so overcooked that I couldn’t stomach it. The meat was dry, gray, and mealy, and the«rare» portion was so dry that I highly doubt that the fish was never frozen. We got Kourtney’s attention and I let her know that my fish was overcooked. She offered to have another piece of Ahi prepared or replace it with another entrée, but at that point I wasn’t confident in the kitchen’s ability to produce a decent meal. She apologized profusely and took the dish away. A few minutes later, someone I assume to be a manager came over with the plate to ask if I really thought the fish was overcooked. I assured him that I did, and he argued a bit about the temperature of the fish, and when I continued to state that it was overcooked he abruptly walked off without an apology or a goodbye. When the check came, I did not expect to see my entrée listed, and it wasn’t. They did, however, charge me for a salad to the tune of $ 10, which came with my entrée and was the only part of my meal that I ate. My husband and I like to go out for a nice meal, and we will typically order a bottle or two of wine, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. We don’t mind paying a premium for great food and a good experience. We won’t be going back to this restaurant.
