It was a perfect Valentine’s dinner. I had the Chicken Tagine and she had the Braised Short Ribs. We shared our appetizers. Everything from the excellent food to the great service makes us want to go back here.

Great local business! The management is fantastic and the owner is very passionate about ensuring his customers are taken care of, and his food is the best around. My only wish is for Byrsa Bistro to open a location in Washington, so I could have the pleasure of trying his food. All the other Unilocalers on here say it is super yummy! Knowing the owner of this business, I am sure it is! I am lucky to have such a great client over the many years he has been with us! Looking forward to many more!

Definitely a hidden gem in Kenneth Square! Polite staff and outstanding dishes. We ordered from the Autumn menu at the time: Aziago & Mushroom Flatbread with sautéed mix of locally-grown mushrooms, egg, and baby arugula Grilled Whole Branzino Fish with fresh herbs and lemon, saffron couscous, grilled zucchini, fresh cabbage, and capers lemon zest Paella served with saffron rice This restaurant opened up my eyes on Mediterranean food!

My boyfriend and I came here since we love Mediterranean food, and there was a Unilocal check-in offer. The wait staff didn’t really seemed to know about the promotion, but they were very kind and took it anyway. The duck and fig flatbread was absolutely amazing. We had a 7:30p reservation, and I felt guilty for being the last ones in the restaurant(the restaurant closes at 8:30p). However, Daisy was an incredible server and very patient, giving us great tips on what to try on the menu. BYOB friendly! Great to stop by if you’re like us and making a trip to Kennett Square for Longwood Gardens.

This was my second time here and I have no complaints. We had the Mediterranean Sampler appetizer and it was great. Hubby had the branzino and it was crispy and full of flavor. I had the lamb shank and it was so pleasing that I wanted more. Excellent service that was knowledgeable. I would recommend this place for all!

Restaurant overall is good. The salads and the sun choke soup, however, are so good you just can’t stop. Get here for the soup and try the paella too.

Very lovely setting. Came in early on Thursday night, Not busy. The window seat in the front corner was perfect — being paid attention on without being disturbed. Very cozy and love the gentle background music too, just the right volume. Food is delicate made; serving size is right. You can eat gracefully, no messy. Overall, I enjoyed my time there. Highly recommend for date nights!

Food was solid. Very very slow though. Service was strange and made me feel uncomfortable.

Folks out here in Kenneth Square there are not a lot of cuisine options. We stumbled upon Brysa Bistro accidentally for dinner while searching for a place for my fiancé’s mothers 70th birthday celebration. Her first three options of Mexican, Chinese and Indian food in a nice sit down restaurant were no where to be found in this part of PA. Brysa Bistro came to the rescue! This place is BYOB, and our waiter Max was so non-judgmental when our party placed a handle of vodka in the center of the table. Quarters are a little cramped for a party of 5, but the atmosphere is romantic, and if we were in town for a longer period of time, I’d come here on a date with the fiancé. Its also casual so you can relax and not worry about having to get dressed up. You really can’t go wrong with anything that you order off of this menu. The flat bread was outstanding, there are four large pieces which can feed 8. The Mediterranean Sampler on the other hand was fantastic, except the hummas, which seemed to have too much oil in it. We have to give a lot of kudos to the kitchen. My fiancé’s brother saw on Unilocal a dish of mussels with fish on top that they discontinued and they didn’t hesitate to make it for him. My fiancé’s mother also wasn’t too keen on any of the menu items and the kitchen also custom made a fish and rice dish for her. Its so refreshing to dine in an establishment that doesn’t let the pride of their menu get in the way of the guest experience. My poor fiancé’s sister who is allergic to 90% of the menu, had a mushroom soup to die for and our Paella, although on the spicy side is a must try. We ordered the entire dessert menu to sample, and by far, the chocolate covered cannoli stuffed with pistachio cream, chocolate mousse, flan, baklava and crème brule were bombing! Stay away from the rice pudding. At the end of the night, the bill was under $ 200 for 5 people. That’s pretty amazing for everything that we had ordered! If you happen to be in this part of the world, Brysa Bistro is a great dinning experience!

I loved it, no complaints. I was expecting more mushroom dishes on the menu, or more Tunisian dishes because I heard the owner was Tunisian, but what I ate was nothing short of fantastic. Maybe there were Tunisian influences? So good. It’s a small place, less than 10 guests while I was there tonight, but we all were delighted with what we ate. The restaurant is small, so you can hear each other very well. And only nice things to say as everyone received their meal. Braised short ribs with polenta were a hit, but so was the paella, Cyprus salad. Mushroom Flatbread was the recommendation from the server and one guest, but I wanted the mushroom soup and it was very memorable, I don’t regret passing on the bread. I have never had such a complex mushroom soup, really delightful. Mousse was so tiny, but so rich. And I recommend the Moroccan mint tea, yum! I wish I had brought wine, it’s BYOB. I would return, there’s lots more in the menu that looks delightful.

I am here tonight with my family and their friends, total of 11 people. The food was amazing I got salmon and my sister got boneless short ribs and they were delicious. For desert we got baklava and I ordered the upcoming molten chocolate with a side of vanilla bean Gelato. Service was great and I am definitely coming back with my friends.

Unilocal almost never fails me but this place was not the best. We started with the Mediterranean sampler. The hummus was watery and loose. Baba ganoush was mashed eggplant with oil. Almost no taste. Perhaps it was too authentic for my taste. The mushroom soup was good but not great. Again, not so flavorful. Salads were quite good. The beet salad was the best. The calamari was huge, irregular rings and a bit rubbery overall disappointed. Would not rush back. Oh, to top it off, the waiter kept rushing us.

Went there today for lunch and saw a sign posted saying the place would be open at 2 p.m. Hang around downtown for hours waiting till 2 p.m. We go to the restaurant at 2 p.m. only for the owner to tell us he has nothing ready and has been out of power… First of all the power has been restored down town for two days and the sign on the door misleads customers… He has a terrible attitude and shuts the door in my face. Stay away from this place. Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and drive up to Aromas in King of Prussia.

Went with a healthy dose of skepticism, and left satisfied. Hummus was nothing to write home about, but not bad. Could have benefited from a bit of garlic. Salads were fresh and tasty. Bread was delicious, but small in portion. Vegetable spread that came with it would have been better replaced with butter. Duck could be a bit more rare. Cassoulet was inventive, spicy, and contained a variety of flavors and textures. For dessert, flan was perfect. Chocolate mousse was good – not outstanding. Overall, a success that could have been exceptional with a few tweaks.

Stopped in here for lunch after lucking out in finding a space right out front. The lunch menu was a little short but has some interesting choices with a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern bent. The dining room is dark and warm — they had a small space heater on the window. Although empty around 12:30, by 1:30, the dining room was full. The mushroom soup here is very flavorful and is composed of a variety of mushrooms — very smooth and not overloaded with cream. The octopus salad was a refreshing combination of frisée and fennel. The octopus, which I can never resist ordering, was plentiful and tasty but disappointingly, a bit overcooked and therefore, somewhat tough. The vegetable wrap was a very nice vegetarian option with a variety of roasted veggies, melted cheese, and mayonnaise flavored with Harissa in a grilled wrap. This was served with perfectly roasted potatoes and a small salad side — a very good value and also very tasty. Service was polite and efficient. It’s BYOB but there is a local winery outlet within walking distance.

I went here about a year ago and ordered the lamb. The lamb was cooked and seasoned well. This time we ordered the Mediterranean Sampler, the stuff grape leaves and baba ganouch are a must try! I had the vegetarian byrsa for my main meal which could have used more flavor. Overall, reasonably priced for the portion. I would stick with the meat dishes and Mediterranean Sampler.

We were roadtripping and needed a place to eat and kill some time before getting our touristy action on. So we were happily surprised to find a nice Morrocan restaurant smack dab in PA! We hit it during that awkward time between lunch and dinner. The staff was very friendly and accomodated us nicely. We had the flatbread which came with melted cheese butternut squash spread, delicious! For entrees we had Duck and Figs, Grilled Branzino, Seafood paella(awesome!), Lamb chops and their signature Organic Chicken tangine. The Tangine is sort of a baked casserole dish which honestly was probably their weakest dish. Funny how it works out that way sometimes haha!

I went here for lunch with my sister. It was wonderful! I got the mediterranean sampler platter with stuffed grape leaves, hummus, pita chips, olives, & baba ganoush. It was excellent. My sister got the scallops and they were excellent too. The service was good but not great, although it was our waitress’ first day. They were a little slow with the water refills. The atmosphere was quaint and if my husband would eat any of the food I would definitely go here for a date night! After lunch we walked down to Punk’d Pineapple and got some amazing pineapple soft serve ice cream!

Came here for date nite with my husband, the restaurant was cozy and dimly lite. We were glad to take advantage of the byob by bringing one of our favorite reds. To start we were given a lite raisin bread with a spread. We decided to get the duck and the scallops. The dishes had the same base. However I was upset that I didn’t get any crab in my scallop dish as the menu indicates. When I asked the waitress she didn’t really care. For this oversight and attitude I was taken back especially for the price of the scallop dish. Other than that everything was cooked perfectly. We ended with the baklava which was very good but small for 8 bucks Over all food is good, small portions, pricey, and rude waitress.
