Pisano’s NY Style Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen

It’s actually been a little over 2-​years since I was at Pisano’s, to long of an absence. We stopped by for lunch and I recalled the tasty meatball sliders once I looked at their menu. The waitress reminded me they have locally made Red Hare Lager on draft and Sunday it was their specially priced draft at $ 2.50 a pint. The days of $ 1 pints are apparently long gone. The beers was served in a chilled pint glass, but the rim of the glass was chipped. I rotated the glass and drank the suds but this glass needed to hit the trash can. My 2^nd pint, same issue on the glassware. They serve 4 meatballs wedged in garlic knots, with marinara sauce as sliders; and they were as tasty as I remembered. We ended up sharing them and a side of fries as our meal. The fries were shoestring style and were overcooked by a few minutes (to long). The service was good. I have to down grade them for the hit on the special draft beer price and overcooked fries. I’ll go back but it will be in a year or 2 as it wasn’t that memorable.

OK ate here today with mother in love… and wow… salad was great (caesar) and the meatball sliders were off the chain. mother in love had a pep pizza slice and said it was good too… didn’t give 5 stars because the table was a bit dirty when we sat down and had to clean it… service was good and food was awesome.

Good place to eat lunch. Pizza slices are a very generous size. Service is good. Quick. Kind of cold in the restaurant.

Completely unacceptable. I ordered a pizza for a going away party at 11 am for delivery at 11:45. I am still waiting for the pizza at 12:41. EIf you are wanting pizza on time I suggest you not order from here. When it does get to my office, I hope it is still warm.

Service is terrific every time. And they are terrific to my 3 year old too.

Food was so-​so. Portions on the small side. Order was delivered incomplete. I called and they said they would send some back with the rest of our food. No one ever showed back up. Not impressed with the service at all. Won’t be calling them again

Pizza is really Good as are the salads. I ordered a chicken parm sanwich once and the chicken was completely burned which I am sure the cook knew before he covered it in cheese and put it in the oven. Did he not expect me to notice? It was returned and I wasn’t charged even though I had a salad. Their service is prompt and courteous and the outdoor seating area is nice. The pizza does remind me of the Pizza from NY and NJ so it is a two thumbs up!!!

We love Pisanos! We order probably once a week. Great pizza and less than a mile from our house. The patio is a lot of fun too with cornhole and a great view of DT Kennesaw. After a few ownership changes, this place has it exactly right now!

So far the only good thing I can say is the delivery was fast. And that is a double edged sword as they left two items off the order and when I called Pisano’s they said well the only thing we can do is send him back out or take your name to give you that item for «free» the next time you come in. WTH… it is not FREE I PAID FOR IT AND YOU DIDN’T DELIVER IT TO ME. It has been an hour since I called and nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Do NOT order delivery from Pisano’s

I didn’t drive out from the Atlanta, but I happen to be passing through Kennesaw and thought, «why not!» Great «cheap-​eats» lunch specials were really good. As per the food, I had a calzone… pretty much what I expected! Loved the dipping sauce, and bread. At first, I was a bit disgruntled that I had to wait 10 minutes just to get a menu (with very light lunch crowd) I’m sure this is not typical… as the waiting staff was very nice and social!

Outstanding food and upbeat servers. Newly renovated design with a fantastic concrete patio for outdoor dining. A stone fire pit adds to the ambiance, but it’s always filled with cigarettes from the smokers. Not appealing. Suggest that this place go non-​smoking on the patio.
Great, live music on certain nights. Very cool place!

After being contacted by the owner, my son and I decided to give this place another try and I’m so happy we did… Things were absolutely different this time around. We got the opportunity to do our order over and everything was absolutely wonderful. The restaurant seemed quiet this particular Saturday, but everyone seemed very busy, but in good spirit. We were great by everyone this time. I ordered my favorite wings (sweet heat) and the 18′ pizza, but this time I order half pepperoni and half deluxe. I realize that I actually like pepperoni pizza a bit more than the deluxe pizza at this spot. The food was great, everything was prepare well. The waitress said the owner had just stepped out, I would have liked the opportunity to speak with him in person. Any restaurant that makes it a point to own and correct their wrongs deserves the utmost respect!!!
My family and I can’t wait, to get back to this place!!! The sweet heat wings are still my favorite!

Good pizza and great sauce. They offer a family deal for 2 and 4 people. We bought the one for 2 and it fed 3 of us with 2 slices of pizza left over. You get 2 salads — which you can easily share– 6 garlic knots and a med pizza for $ 17.99.
They also offer good lunch deals Monday to Friday. If you use scout mob, there is a coupon on it for lunch and dinner.
We enjoy the crispy, thin crust in the pizza. If you order a slice instead of a pie, be aware that they out the veggies in at the end of the cooking and they seem to be steamed instead of raw.

I’ve passed this place a million times in the last 3 years I’ve lived in Kennesaw. On one of my days off, my husband met me and our daughter on his lunch break. I’m so glad he did!
When you walk in, it’s got a grungy (not in a gross way) pizza shop feel. I guess you could call it more industrial than anything. I felt the dining area was clean and the food was fast. Service wasn’t bad, but not exceptional, and the dinner for two meal was an incredible deal. Salad, one-​topping pizza, with garlic knots… yum! The garlic knots, though too doughy and dense for my taste, hit the spot until pizza arrived. The house salad was great since it wasn’t your regular cucumber, tomato, lettuce combo. The pizza was very good as I’m a big fan of NY-​style, but the crust underneath the toppings could’ve been a tad thicker. It was so paper thin in some spots I felt I was just eating toppings.
Overall, good lunch. I’d go back.

My wife and I ate here on a recent Friday night. The place was packed, so we had expectations of a good dinner. Unfortunately that was not to be. Her pizza appeared to have been made in such haste that the toppings were largely piled on one side of the pizza leaving the other side bare. My pizza had areas with little or no toppings as well. The crust was tasteless and limp. There was virtually no sauce on the pizza. We do not intend a return visit.

THE best pizza north of the city. As close to Joe’s or Johnny’s in NY as you can get around here.

The stuffed meat pizza was great but had wayyyyy to much breading in there. The marinara sauce was really yummy though. Seating inside was a bit awkward? But it’s all good. Their servers were a bit careless and as we sat by the bar, we can hear them talk loudly about their life and curse — which is okay i guess but we didn’t find it too amusing as my husband and I try to spend time together after a long day at work.
They also had some dude singing outside with a guitar, and I’m so sorry dude — it was TERRIBLE. It was so terrible we decided to sit inside. Ol dude wasn’t hitting the notes and … And … I’m just gonna leave it as: TERRIBLE.
Anyways, all in all, we look forward to trying their other pizzas!

Glad we tried this place out. We had the garlic Parmesan rolls and a slice of the NY-​style each. Both were good and we are definitely coming back for more. Menu options were pretty good too.

The short: really good pizza that you can get by the slice. Yes, it’s worth stopping in to eat at.
We came in on a slow Sunday morning, and the place was completely dead. Turns out their hours are wrong on Google, and missing on Unilocal.We told our server, Arielle, and she was going to communicate that to management.
Our booth was by the window, and it was frigid. Seriously cold. My feet were pretty numb by the time we left. I don’t think they had the heat on at all. Next time we’re sitting by the ovens!
I got a side Caesar salad and a slice of the Chicken Florentine pizza. The salad was good, fresh with flavorful dressing. The pizza was great: the base was ricotta and mozzarella, and topped with fresh spinach, tomatoes, and grilled chicken. My only complaint is the chicken wasn’t warmed through. I really didn’t notice until I was almost done, and by that point it wasn’t worth complaining about. Next time I’ll check it sooner!
Boyfriend had a Greek salad; equally fresh and with good dressing. He got a slice of the Deluxe with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms. The kitchen prepared it in a strange way: they put all the veggies on top of the sauce, meat on the very top, and didn’t adhere it down with any cheese. So, when he picked it up, all the toppings slid off. Arielle took it back to the kitchen for him and they sprinkled some cheese on top and melted it. After that, all was well.
We also had a side of the marinara to dip our crusts in, and it was a really good sauce! I bet it tastes great on the pizza.
One strange thing we saw is they have a table in front of a door. So, if there’s anyone sitting there in something other than long shorts/​pants/​skirts, they could be exposed in the wrong way to the parking lot and street. Management should cover up the bottom portion of the door for customer comfort.
Even if we didn’t have a ScoutMob on this visit, it was still worth the trip, and we’ll come back again soon.

This place just can’t get it right!
Ordered a deluxe last night and added bacon & jalapeños. Well my pizza arrived with only bacon & jalapeños. They accepted their mistake and said I could call back and order any medium pizza that I’d like.
So I called tonight…
I ordered a deluxe but this time added pineapple and jalapeños. And again they didn’t get my pizza right! The deluxe was missing sausages and they added BACON instead of pineapple.
The pizza is OK but I won’t be ordering from here again.
