Cute little spot right on the water. Not very busy great service and food. Stopped in for some fried foods and a beer. And was not disappointed. Would stop in again!

The best lobster I had all week. They don’t crack the shell so all the salt water stays in the lobster. It makes for a more flavorful and moist lobster. I did not like their clam chowder. It was very thick with lots of potatoes. It was good but not what I like. The views are great.

It was just average. I wanted to like it more but I cant give it more than 3 stars. Pros: Location. It really is gorgeous here. Such beautiful views. The lobster was very tasty. Cons: My 1 ½ lb lobster was not 1 ½ lbs. No way. The steamers were almost tasteless. They should have been cooked with at least a little bit of ‘flavor’. The butter that came with the steamers was bland… it wasnt salted as far as I could tell. Tough to park even at 1130 am Thursday morning. PS Service with a smile goes a long way. Hint.

What a view of Cape Porpoise! It was a treat to come here and eat on the deck even if the actual restaurant didn’t have a great atmosphere. The clam strip entrée with fries was great but very overpriced. The clam chowder was excellent as well as the fried scallop sandwich(awesome buttered bread). Hit the spot for our first Maine seafood experience. Would definitely come back.

Cant beat the combo! 1) Incredible location 2) Killer Lobster Roll Picnic tables… on the deck… on the pier… surrounded by the harbor.

The Chowder House RANOUTOFCHOWDER. Seriously?! It’s a Monday night. Although I was irritated, my friend wanted her lobster roll. So we stayed. Mistake. Lobster roll should have been called a lobster slider. So much bread… so little lobster. Woman at register was surly and unpleasant. It’s not worth the drive here. Never again.

Great food! Among our group we had lobster rolls, lobster chowder, chicken sandwich, fried and onion rings. Everyone was definitely happy with their choices. I particularly loved the onion rings. You won’t regret ordering them! Great good. Low key atmosphere. Cold beer on tap. Worth a visit if you are in or around Kennebunkport. Kid friendly!

I went with a large group today, and most everyone seemed happy with their meals. I had the haddock chowder which was a special. It was not great. The bowl was small, it was half broth, and I was looking for the salt and pepper to kick it up a notch. The onion rings, on the other hand, were stellar — not inexpensive, $ 5.99 for a small order, but excellent. I wouldn’t be anxious to go back.

Very nice view, however they woman running the register was horribly unfriendly. Never once greeted us, felt as if we were a burden on her. Food tasted good, seafood was fresh. Price was extremely high for what you get. We have dined at MANY different seafood places and this one by far was the one who skimped on the amount of seafood for the price you pay. Decided we would not return, mainly because the people were so unfriendly.

Lobster roll could’ve had more taste or any sauce on it. Everything fried was very good like he onion rings and the fried haddock with french fries. Also good chowder and good prices.

Lobster rolls were extremely moist and flavorful. Seafood chowder full of lobster and other seafood. Delicious white chowder. Batter on whole belly clams was light and crisp. Clams very fresh. Prices were fair for the level of quality.

Went here with the family for a nice cup of chowder. The owner was extremely rude to us so we left while we were in line to order. Went next door to the ramp. Very friendly & amazing food. So glad the owner next door forced us out. Thank you miss rude owner for the nice meal that was not in your establishment:)

Very nice to eat outside especially in the evening. Parking is iffy. I like the working lobster pier next door. Food is good, large lobsters readily available at a reasonable prices.

This is a quaint little restaurant with very fresh fish and fries. The onion rings were excellent. I would recommend this out-of-the-way place for a quick reasonably priced dinner. The view is excellent from the restaurant.

Should you believe a one pound lobster for $ 17 with sides? Pull them right out of the tank and watch them crawl around before they are cooked. Outside deck is the vast seating. Best for lunch

We went here based on so many favorable reviews. The only thing I agree with is the nice view. Where I come from, we call this a tourist trap. Two people for lunch at $ 43.00 is just too steep for food that was just ok. I was really looking forward to lobster roll and was really disappointed. No seasoning and even the lobster itself had a bland taste and the texture made it seem like it was overcooked. Crab cake was missing a lot of the key ingredient, crab. It seemed like a pre made frozen product. Best part of the lunch was the homemade onion rings and the homemade tarter sauce. Now if there was only something to put it on.

This place is cheap and has delicious fresh seafood. It also has outdoor seating with a nice view. We always try to go here when friends are in town. And we can’t wait to go back! We got the lobster roll and fried clams. The lobster roll has plenty of lobster meat and the fried clams and calimari was nice and crispy!

I’ve never had such a good meal on a dock. The no frills, wait-in-line-style is not for everyone, but the quality of sea food and the view of Cape Porpoise is amazing. Yes, they have wine. No, you’re kids aren’t cute, running around like jackals. I’m not a stuffy, ‘let’s go yachting,’ type, so this place is completely for me. Just remember to tip the lady at the counter.

I have lived in Kennebunk for 20 years and yesterday was my first trip to Cape Pier. In fact, I didn’t even know this placed existed and now I’m really bummed I never visited before. Parking was a bit of nightmare, but it was helpful there were parking attendants on hand. The food and service were decent, not the best fried seafood in Southern Maine, but definitely not the worst. However you must come for the view! It’s beautiful.

One of my favorite places to get a lobster roll in its true minimalist form(i.e., shredded lobster meat on a buttery bun). The price here is also slightly lower than some other lobster shacks in the area; the day we went it was around $ 11 – 12. It also seems less tourists here, so hopefully less crowds. This place is tucked away, probably a 15min drive from Kennebunkport, with a quaint view of Cape Porpoise and some sail boats.
