Taco Time

Everytime I go here my order is messed up. They often forget to give me something, or it’s something I didn’t order. Very frustrating. I thought maybe it was just the drive through, so I started going in. They still messed up my orders just as much. They are always willing to make it right, but it would be better if it was made right the first try.

How is it that this Taco Time has so few reviews? The Kaysville Taco Time is clean, fantastic staff and the food is yummy. The staff at this location is the kindest one you will find. I do not know what kind if training they do, but they are wonderful. I wish other fast food restaurants had staff like they do here.
The food is yummy, it is Taco Time. What sets this location apart is it’s staff, the fun décor, the cleanliness of the restaurant and how family friendly it is. They have an area with blocks for the younger kids so you can enjoy your food while the kids play. If you order a kids meal have your little go look for the stuffed toy Nemo. When they find it and after they have eaten what you deem enough they can go to the counter and tell one if the staff where Nemo was hiding. They will be rewarded with a small treat, usually the fantastic Mexi Ice! It is funny how a great environment makes your meal better.
The drive through is just as great. The staff is kind and helpful and patient. This is wonderful as my daughter likes to change her mind as we are ordering!
Last evening we arrived thinking they were open later. Mind you we were 10 minutes after closing time, but a recent trip to Subway on Gentile 5 minutes after closing where everything was still set up ended up with us being turned away at 7:05, the menu board was dark. I turned to my daughter to ask if there was something else she would like. Then the lady inside said,“Welcome to Taco Time, may I take your order?” Who does that? Most places would turn you away. I appreciate that they took our order, as it was the only thing my daughter wanted and was not happy about us being late.
I know it is fast food and if you ate like me you do not expect much in service. Try this location. You will drive the extra time just for the service. I enjoy Taco Time’s food, but I will even stop in here for a drink.

At this Taco Time the prices are high, for a fast-​food joint. But the food is good. I had a sweet pork burrito that was heavy on the pork, filling, & fresh.
My churro was delicious too.
Shockingly, I would have given Taco Time 5 stars. There are two reasons I detracted a star. First, their drive-​thru menu board is ridiculously convoluted & hard to read. Second, as I mentioned before, the prices are not on par with other fast food restaurants.
But neither of those will be keep me away. I’ll go back to this pleasant surprise.

Staff is very friendly, food was as expected for Taco Time, the décor is off the charts colorful. We liked the fresh salsa bar off to the side that we don’t see at most Taco Time’s. Clean bathrooms with colorfully painted artsy mirrors.

I have been to this Taco Time about three times. I have to say that it is the fanciest Taco Time I have ever been it.
The wait staff is friendly and seems to be efficient.
Every time I have been in there I have been dissapointed with the quantity of the food. The value for the buck just isn’t there. The quality of the food is fine, but the portions are lacking compared to other establishments serving a similar fare.
This trip I ordered fish street tacos. The looked good in the picture. It appeared that there were three good sized tacos in the picture. The price was about $ 4. So I ordered them. Bad plan. The plate showed up with two very small tacos on it. The corn tortillas were about 3″ in diameter and the fish stick was about the size of my index finger. It looked like an appetizer. I could not believe it. They tasted ok, but not great. I left still hungry so I had to go someplace else to eat.
Bottom line. I think I’m done with Taco Time.

Very disappointed — This place is beautiful inside and out. 6 years ago, this was the only place I would go for taco with substance. Now, I have been bitten the last three times. VERY little meat in a $ 3 soft taco, in fact, there was more meat in my $ 1 crisp taco!!! Now that Del Taco is in Layton, I would rather spend the 49 cents, than loose $ 3 for a small and unsatisfying soft taco.
Sorry — your staff is very kind, and the place is great — but the food needs some work.

This is by far the worst taco place I have been to. It’s a bad taco bell knock off. Unilocal does not allow 0 stars or that’s what it would get. I could not even Finish my burrito — had to trash it and felt like throwing up after the meal. Do yourself a favor and eat at the seven eleven next door instead.

This is the best TT I have ever eaten at… but it’s still a Taco Time.
