I agree with the person that said it was just weird. The sweet and sour chicken was not the best. The other person that said their appetizers were good, I agree with too. Ham fried rice was good, egg drop soup good, ragoons tasty, egg roll ok. If I am craving ham fried rice I would return. Here I go back on my quest for decent Chinese in Kaysville.

We decided to try this restaurant. We’re always looking for new hidden gems. This wasn’t it. Service was strange and poor. Our server asked us what we would like to drink. Those were the only words he spoke to us. Water came out in styrofoam cups.(No ice) the food was good, though the sauce was thicker than I am accustomed to. Seemed like it was made from corn syrup. That being said, I loved how spicy the Tiny Spicy Chicken was. Egg roll and ham fried rice were average. Our lunch service seemed slow considering we were the only ones there. Our server sat down 2 booths down from us with a couple of bowls of food and started wolfing it down while we were waiting on our food. VERYODD. Do you interrupt your server and ask for more water while he’s busy eating? LOLBIZARRE. Up front, there is a filthy curtain that separates the front of the house from the kitchen. That doesn’t instill confidence. As much as I liked the heat of the tiny spicy chicken, we won’t be going back.

Small but wonderful! My husband and I love this place. Great REAL food, prepared fresh daily by REAL Chinese who really know how to cook. It is a family business who have sunk their life savings into it — always giving their best to make it work. We love to support them because they are not a big chain restaurant with reheated frozen food, never too sweet, just great blend of tangy & spices, etc. The service is great too, perfect for lunch, never too busy to get in and out quickly.

Wow! So I decided to order some take out(the wife was gone and it was just me and the kids). Never go against The Unilocal reviews. I typically don’t but no other Chinese delivery available. The Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Orange Chicken were… just gross. The Ham Fried Rice and Vegetable Lo Mein were good. So if you just want apps, go for it.

5 of us went out for dinner on a Tuesday night. I was craving some Chinese food, we had never been to this place, and I like to support the local restaurants. There was only one other family on the place. I was worried we had made a mistake. But the waiter was friendly and prompt and the food turned out to be pretty good. The seating is in booths. There were five of us in our group. We sat in one of the big booths and fit fine. We just had water with our meal and it was served in a Styrofoam cup. This seems odd for dinner. The soup was also served in a Styrofoam bowl. We did get real plates and bowls for the meal. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and well presented. We had a couple of rice bowls, sweet and sour pork, teriyaki chicken, and mixed vegetables. There was plenty of sticky rice served with the meal. The vegis were excellent. Nice sauce and not overdone. The pork was pretty good. The chicken was not quite what I expected. it tasted good, but the sauce was a bit thick and the vegies seemed a bit limp. We paid about $ 35 for the five of us(without tip) and we had more than enough food. We loaded up three carry out boxes that had enough for three lunches. I ate mine the next day and it still tasted pretty good. I believe you can tell a lot about an eating establishment by the way they take care of their restrooms. I forgot to go take a look, but my wife said the women’s bathroom felt like it could use a good cleaning. Not gross, just not great. I’m a bit torn what to give this place. The quantity and taste of the food certainly deserves a 3+. The ambiance is about a 2, but what do you expect for a strip mall in Kaysville? The waiter was attentive and helpful. I’m going to give the place the hometown advantage and give it a 3 overall. I think I will reserve this place for my lunch dollars. I want them to take it up a notch for dinner.

While trying all the Kaysville restaurants while working on a project here, we checked out this place as it was close to our job. The lunch specials are cheap, at $ 5.50 so we tried the pork Lo Mein and Kung Pao chicken. They came with hot and sour soup, served in styrofoam take out containers. I had hot tea, served in a 16 oz styrofoam cup. The main courses were served on paper plates and the forks and napkins were just thrown in the middle of the table for us to grab. The Lo Mein noodles were round and might have been spaghetti noodles. The char tsiu pork was pretty tasty while the egg roll seemed to be filled with mashed potatoes. The ham fried rice was palatable but certainly nothing to get excited about. Despite the fact that this place is tacky and the server was clueless, I actually thought for the price, it was ok. I paid for my employees lunch and mine for a total bill of $ 13.50. The two star rating accounts for a 3 on the food and a 1 on everything else. I will try it again as it seems to be a good value for lunch. I probably would avoid it for dinner.

The restaurant switched owners and is now called Kungfu Gourmet… This Chinese restaurant was«ok» by my standards. I’m sure some of their dishes are better than others, but the Mongolian Beef that I ordered was quite bland. The egg roll I got was kind of soggy on the inside as well. However, their hot and sour soup was really good. I thought about giving this place only 2 stars, but the staff was sooo friendly and the service was excellent. If only the food were better… I’m sure they have other dishes that are better than the beef dish I got.

This *was* an amazing place – that is – until the owner moved back to China and sold her restaurant to new owners. It’s not terrible, but compared to what it was – it is just standard Chinese fare now. :(The previous owner truly whipped up incredibly tasty sauces, used high quality meat, and veggies were very fresh. How I long for her return!

This was a great find. This is our second Saturday in a row coming here. The place is small and family owned and operated. They are extremely nice. As we were waiting for our take out they game my son an orange and some fortune cookies. The food is some of the best Chinese that I have come across. $ 14 and change will get you 3 lunch platters with soup. A great value especially when the food is comparable to a Pei Wei’s. To some it may not be better than Pei Wei’s but it will keep us from driving to Bountiful and spending 3x’s as much.
