This is literally the best Chinese we have ever had, the right amount of flavor, sauce, and enough of a portion for lunch. We drive not that far to get j n j, but we pass the spot that’s around the block to get this Sapor

I was reading other reviews about the English not being very good. I was waited on by a gentleman who had very good command of the language. Perhaps it depends on your server? The Hot and Sour soup is very simple with good flavor. Décor is nice with just a few tables. Relaxed and quiet atmosphere. My meal looked and tasted great!

Great authentic Chinese food! We got take-out and everything was devoured immediately. The General Tso’s Chicken was my favorite, but the Kung Paw Beef, and Sweet Sour Chicken were also really excellent. (A silly side note — we all really loved the fortunes in our fortune cookies. They were deeper then your typical fortune cookie fortunes ;))

Came here for a snack before dinner, ordered the happy roll, coconut shrimp, avocado, cucumber, topped with salmon, fried onion, spicy may, eel sauce and masago. More on the expensive $ 1405 wow. Sorry I’m from California and sushi cheaper. But iOS not bad

Thank goodness this place came to Farmington! I finally get good Chinese food. It has a decent selection of sushi too. Reasonable prices, but owner/waitress does not speak English very well.

Pretty good food, but nothing special. Standard Chinese place. The main reason for my somewhat poor review is simply how awkward it was dining here. My girlfriend and I came here for lunch, and we were the only customers, right up until leaving! The service was good, but yes they don’t speak the greatest English, which is ok. I don’t speak the greatest Chinese! I just wish I hadn’t felt so awkward and rushed with our waitress checking in on us constantly, and us being all alone in this tiny restaurant. I also feel like they are more expensive for what you get than many.

English was pretty terrible but the smiles and service were excellent! Food tasted good and came out super fast. Ordered 2 rolls and soup. Felt like it’s priced slightly high for sushi rolls but the lunch specials seem priced well. The rolls themselves were made with average appearance and average taste… but what can you do when they were made and played that fast. Loved how attentive our waitress was. Got in and out of there in under 20 minutes. Will try them again.

I don’t recommend the sushi here. We didn’t eat the Chinese food, but have an idea it’s probably better than their sushi. I’d recommend shopping at Smith’s for their sushi, as Smith’s sushi is better.

The only difference I saw between this is place and any other hole in the wall Chinese place is the price. For dinner a General Tao’s chicken dinner plate it’s almost $ 12 and it tasted like a $ 7 plate. although the food wasn’t bad, it wasn’t anything to get excited about and sure has heck not anything I wanted to pay $ 12 for, the atmosphere wasn’t very cool either. just average to low quality Chinese food for more than I wanted to spend.

I really wanted to love this place, but the service was so so poor. When we first entered no one was there to greet us. We spent about five minutes waiting for someone to come out the kitchen to take our seats. After we were seated, the waitress immediately asked to take our dinner order. We hadn’t even looked at the menu. We told her we needed a few more minutes. She left for about 2 minutes and came back. I still wasn’t ready to order, but she was very pushy and told me I would know by the time my husband gave her his order. My husband tried to order a Vegas sushi roll and a cup of soup, but the waitress kept insisting that he should order of the Orange chicken dinner special. After telling her no thank you twice, she finally took his original order. I also ended up ordering a sushi roll(not sure the name but it had coconut shrimp), and a cup of soup. When our meal came out the waitress handed us three sushi rolls, and no soup. She left so fast we didn’t have a chance to tell her that the order was incorrect and that we wanted a refill on our drink. She disappeared into the kitchen for a long time so we ended up just eating the three rolls. When she did come back with the check we reminded her about the soup, she seemed annoyed and only brought back one cup. We also had to ask for a refill on our beverages. Now enough about the service. The food was awesome. 4 stars for sure. The Vegas roll was deep fried and super fresh. The other roll with the coconut shrimp was also very tasty. We were both in love with the egg drop soup, when we finally got to taste it of course! I hate writing negative reviews, it’s really hard to make me unhappy, but the service was terrible. I do think it was in part due to a language barrier, but she never really gave us a chance to correct her. I do plan on giving this place one more shot, the food was so yummy! Hopefully next time will be better.

This place is great! Egg drop soup was delicious and comes with all the lunch and dinner combos, which they will let you put almost any menu item into. Ordered the lemon chicken and the chicken was terrific. It can take awhile to get your food, but in the end it is worth it.

Very good food. The place is small and the only people working there is an old couple. This makes for a little wait if there are a few people there but it’s worth it. By far the best American Chinese in the area. They also have a sushi roll menu that I’m looking forward to trying. Definitely recommend.

Great local sushi place. Just know it’s just a husband and wife team and service can be a bit slow but it will be with a smile. The food is very good for the area. Great new option and glad it’s open.

Compared to other restaurants in the vicinity, J&J is tops. For just-under $ 12 I was able to get a dinner combination plate that included: a cup of soup, egg roll, tempura shrimp, crab Rangoon, fried rice, & beef & broccoli. The portions were large! The Veggies were fresh. Everything on my plate was hot. It was a very well-cooked meal. I would say that I couldn’t tell whether it was a Chinese, or Japanese restaurant? They had dishes that would be found in both types of restaurant. On this visit I ordered a Chinese-food dish. Maybe next time I’ll try the sushi? The interior does leave something to be desired. There are only a few tables, but it doesn’t feel very intimate. The high ceilings, and modern interior(left over from the former tenants: Bite Size, may it rest in peace. Sigh) contribute to the juxtaposition. Minor gripes aside… I will be back. J&J has some good eats, for good prices.

Happy to see a new restaurant in Farmington. We got take out but restaurant was clean and well kept. Small seating area. Maybe 8 tables. Decent food, although I’ve had fresher sushi. Orange chicken was delicious. Super nice staff.

Saturday afternoon party of 2 was easy to get in and sit and 1 of the 8 tables. Very small and friendly staff. James was our chef and server and he was attentive and kind. A bit of a language issue, not barrier just had to pay close attention. He was darling. Taught my 9 year old how to hold and use chopsticks like a pro and encouraged him like a teacher would. He also spent a few minutes telling a story about how and why chopsticks are an important part of a healthy culture. Apparently, spoons and forks are at least partially responsible for American Obesity. $ 28 got us potstickers that were yummy, an Eel Roll that was tasty but the eel on top was fatty and I discarded it because it was ruining the roll, Miso Soup was average. I prefer Sushi Monster’s soup, but the orange chicken dish was well seasoned and the rice was perfect. I question any meat that is battered and this was no exception. Found a few unsavory pieces. Might not go back just because Sushi Monster is superior. Not a bad experience.
