Sometimes I feel like take out meals are less than, but this place was quite the opposite. I ordered the shrimp and pea pods, fried rice, rangoon and won ton soup for lunch. I had plenty of shrimp(at least 6 big shrimp) and the pods were fresh, crisp and tasty. The rangoon was among the best Ive ever had – large, full and perfectly fried. I could have made a meal of them. My husband had the cashew chicken and he said it was excellent – a good balance of meat and nuts. This was our first visit, but we will certainly return whenever we’re in the Katy area.

Not great — Mongolian Beef had very little beef, no sauce and was mainly raw onion, the burn and aftertaste was overpowering. Garlic Chicken was tasty but the garlic sauce was a little sweet, not really garlic tasting and there was no garlic in the veggie mix. Much prefer China Wall.

We’ve been having Chinese food here for quite some time. Their General Tso is amazing. It has this spice kick in the sauce and combined with fresh tasting white meat chicken? Double amazing. I’ve never had a bad experience in this establishment. It’s fast and convenient. We eat their like twice a month.

This place has the worst service. I entered to place an order and when I asked how long it would take, the cashier said it would take a maximum of 15 minutes… It took 45 minutes. When I asked to have my money back(prior to receiving the food) they offered me two egg rolls. To elaborate, my order was $ 45 for 3 meals and they wanted to give me 2 egg rolls that are a dollar each. That was in no way timely or a good display of customer service. They then went to argue with me saying that I should’ve ordered delivery. After taking the food home and trying it, it wasn’t bad, so I decided to give it one last try. This time I ordered delivery. I ordered for 2 and they said it would take a maximum of 30 minutes. I waited 40 minutes before calling. When I called, before I finished explaining, the girl on the phone(the cashier from the first experience) cut me off similarly to the first time I entered the store and guaranteed me that the driver should be arriving within the next 5 minutes because he has left the location 10 minutes prior to the phone call. I live down the street about 4 minutes away with stop signs and street lights(less than a mile). I waited 5 minutes and still no one arrived. I called to cancel my order, and instead of trying to find a solution, she kept telling me to wait more. This is not good customer service. It’s a shame because I love Chinese food, and am a very loyal customer when I find places that are delicious.

I would not recommend the food. We thought it would be super to have a place nearby. But we are disappointed with the first bite! We ordered egg drop soup, kung pow chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The food is very bland. The kung pow has no flavor and tastes the same as the bland rice. The rice has no flavor or vegetables. The sweet and sour chicken is all batter around tiny strips of chicken(super tiny!) with out vegetables. Our family likes vegetables so we were really disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend the food to anyone and it is a minus 10 for our family.

When I’m sick, only one thing will do, and it’s good Chinese food. We have been looking for a great Chinese restaurant in Katy for years and this place fit the bill. The wonton soup was excellent, the chicken fried rice was perfect and tasted the same reheated the following day, the egg roles, spring roles and fried donuts were excellent. As I was sick, my meal did consist only of side dishes and appetizers so I can’t speak(yet) to the main dishes, but my husband enjoyed the General Tsos. Looking forward to getting a full meal soon– although that soup and rice was perfect on its own.

This is hands down my favorite place for Chinese food! Great service, the staff is extremely friendly and the food is always fresh! I love a place that offers a lunch special 7 days a week. Dinner prices are extremely reasonable as well. A triple threat, great food, great service and great prices!

This is a wonderful little place with excellent food and friendly service. The prices are good and there are some less common items that will surprise you.

This place is great! I get their tofu maybe three times a week, and it’s wonderful. The portions are better than the other Chinese restaurants I have been to and the prices are less. Much less. The restaurant itself is very clean and the servers are friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Another disappointing Chinese restaurant, this one takes it down a notch serving food on styrofoam and plastic utensils, if your going to charge 10 plus per plate then gimmie something to eat with, it’s bad enough I had to use three forks for the tough beef and chicken that came with my dish, not to mention the having to eat over some inappropriate rap music with my kids. This is not a place to take the family for a nice dinner, if you want fast food Chinese go to panda, the food here is not that great. The meat is chunky, tough and bland, nothing tasted fresh and the chicken was dry and over cooked.

Yet another«fast food» Chinese restaurant that does not do a good job in any authenticity with its food. Ordered Mongolian beef, chicken chow mien, combination lo mein, and Hunan combination for take out. The ingredients seem fresh enough but the taste is just not there. Overall pretty bland and my wife actually recooked the lo mein to add more flavor. The chow mein isn’t even really a noodle dish, they give you a small bag of noodle flakes to throw on top of the chicken dish. Only reason I rate it 2 stars is because the Mongolian beef was satisfactory and it’s still a relatively new place.

Ordered the hunan wings based on the reviews, they were meh. Got chicken and vegetables with brown sauce that was meh. Honorable mention for the egg rolls. These egg rolls are some of the best i have had in katy, china town, pasadena and Tulsa, OK. WILLGOBACKFORTHEEGGROLLS!

I love the food here, but I have one major issue– consistency. We’ve ordered the same thing every time, but received a different result. Sometimes we get friend wontons with our soup and sometimes we don’t. Once we ordered General Tsu’s and received a completely different dish than the other times. I love that they use all white meat and the food tends to be delicious, but I don’t like not knowing what we’ll get when we order.

First time we visited, it wasn’t open yet, but the staff eagerly greeted us and apologized for the inconvenience. Next week we visited and ordered the shrimp kung pao shrimp and hunan chicken both which were perfectly cooked and ingredients were very fresh. Second visit the same. Friendly service continued. Yesterday we ordered to-go Singapore noodles and Kung-Pao chicken. The to-go quantities are HUGE, much larger than the eat-in which are themselves very adequate. Prices are very reasonable particularly considering the freshness. The kitchen is visible from the dining area and appears clean with happy staff.

I’ve found my new favorite local Chinese restaurant! My husband and I wanted to try a new place and found this one which just opened. As we walked in, I was so impressed by the cleanliness and up-to-date décor. As we searched the menu, the prices were almost too good to believe… they were so cheap! We order quite a few dishes because we had company and all our friends were just as impressed as I was with the quality and quantity of food! Here’s what we ordered, followed by my ranking of up to 5 stars: –Hunan wings…5STARS!(MYFAVORITE!) –Beef pepper steak…5STARS –Orange chicken…5STARS –Beef lo mein…5STARS –Chicken Fried rice…4STARS –Pork Mei fun…3STARS –Egg rolls…4STARS –Dumplings…5STARS The owners served us our food and were incredibly nice. This is a family-owned & operated establishment with authentic family recipes. And they really take pride in their fresh, NON-MSG menu. I can see why because the vegetables in all the dishes were crisp and the meat was well seasoned! Love this place compared to China Wall & other places we tried in Katy. Seems a little shady that people gave them low reviews who have no other reviews. Guess the competition couldn’t compete… lol

Maybe not the authentic Chinese, but the taste is best in town so far, very good location. The modern classy design and low price also makes it stands out from other Chinese places, with super friendly staff(shout out to John and Cindy!) definitely 5 stars!

1. Place– Love the interior design. It is very rare to see a Chinese restaurant with an open kitchen for everyone to see. The place is modern and clean. Five stars. 2. Service– Very friendly service. Good service always make the meal more enjoyable. Five stars. 3. Food– Very good American Chinese food. I have tried beef lo mein, pepper steak with onion, fried dumplings, Hunan wings, orange chicken, egg rolls, and etc. I love the tenderness of the pepper steak. The seasoning was spot on. It is my favorite dish so far. Egg rolls were fried perfectly. It was so crispy! The fillings were delicious. Wings?! Z&T is most likely the first and probably the only Chinese restaurant that sells chicken wings. Hunan wings are so flavorful that I will get my wings here from now on… sorry Wing Stop. Orange chicken was juicy and tender. The thickness of the batter was just right. Only criticism I have, would be the seasoning on the lo mein and fried rice. A little more salt, pepper, and garlic would be wonderful. Four stars so far. Bonus star for not adding MSG. It is really rare for a Chinese restaurant to not use any MSG. Overall I give it 5 stars. I will be back for more pepper steak and wings!

Just opened. Nice interior and friendly staff. The food however was really plain. Almost 0 sauce on beef and lo mein dishes. Dumplings were pretty good. There were a lot of fresh veggies which is a plus, too many Chinese food places cut back on their fresh items in stir fries.
