My wife has been wanting me to try this place for awhile. So for Father’s day we went there and met our two boys to have brunch. But it was just a buffet for Father’s day. All of the buffet food was either cold, overcooked or greasy. They had an omelette bar but I don’t like going to a buffet to stand in line for eggs. Our sons also found the food disappointing. It was bad enough having a disappointing meal for Father’s day but it was worse seeing my wife disappointed because she was so looking forward to me eating there. She took it personally that Father’s day was ruined because of the place she wanted me to go to. The final«kicker» was when the waitress came by and asked, «How is the food»? I stated, «It could be better». Then she just giggled nervously and walked away instead of asking what was wrong, or how can I make it better. Very bad Father’s day experience at this restaurant.

They just started serving dinner here a few weeks ago, and we enjoyed it hugely. We had some truly impressive burgers, and the free ceviche appetizer was wonderful. The purse stand next to the table was a thoughtful touch that I appreciated. Service was attentive, without being intrusive. A very nice date-night experience, and I always enjoy supporting a local business over the chains that are cropping up all over the Katy area.

We visited Salt & Pepper last week and found the food to be good. They have a wide range of items on the menu. The corn chowder was fresh and delicious. My husband had the chicken salad a loved it. The interior has a variety of themes and could really use updating, but it was clean.

Place is nice, pretty basic. Service was great, people were so nice. Mimosas were so good! They have an omelette/pancake/crêpe station wh/we loved… no sausage or bacon though…& the Mexican food section of the buffet was off I think. No enchiladas or queso? What’s up with that?! Plus, they had dessert that appeared to be cheesecake, but was really key lime, wh/if I’m taking in calories it’s gotta be cheesecake! Lol. Overall we would go back, but hopefully they read this and take care of the buffet

I’m upset now. Fourth time we have been here. 2nd time took 30 minutes for eggs and hash browns were cold. 3rd time, they said they didn’t serve breakfast, even thought it was before 10:30 on a Saturday. Today, they didn’t have anything for coffee. I.e. Caramel or mocha. Eggs Benedict were on croissants and our cheese, not hollandaise. I had biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were«grilled» yet cold and the gravy was lukewarm at best and almost congealed. Server was unimpressive. Good news. The eggs Benedict only took 17 minutes this time. I was trying to impress my daughter with EB but it was a fail. Sigh.

My wife and I wanted to try somewhere new and what better place then right here in Katy. So we were hopefully when we were served ceviche as our table starter and it was really good. We also were offered 2 free adult drinks with each meal which I was all for. I ordered a hamburger(FYI I love hamburgers and eat them almost everywhere) and my wife ordered enchiladas. I asked for a medium rare burger and then confirmed with the waitress if they will do medium rare burgers, she said yes and I was excited. I expect a certain level of burger that costs around $ 10 vs one that costs $ 5. So I get my burger and I take a bite and I can’t tell you how disappointed I was. They served me a burger with two thinly made patties that were overly salted separated by lettuce tomato etc. the parties tasted like something I could get from McDonald’s for a couple bucks and of course it was well done.(Not like they could make a medium rare it was so thin). When when the waitress walked by I told her that it seems they don’t make a medium rare burger because of the thinly made patties so that she does not tell anyone else that. She looked at me and said«yeah I don’t know»… Umm k you’re the waitress and you don’t know? yet you said you cook medium rare burgers? She was nice overall but we were the only ones in the restaurant for dinner and she only came by when I called her over after we were served. Before we were served she had come by several times. Consistency of service was odd. I gave a two star because I really really hate when a restaurant says they can do medium rare but don’t or can’t instead of just telling me they don’t(which I am fine with if I’m told that) and the service /waitress knowledge seemed limited. My wife enjoyed her food but was not at the level of regular Mexican restaurants. Wished it was better. :(

What a great place. Quiet and the food is delicious! Breakfast and lunch. Burgers are great with garlic fries. The stuffed avocado chicken salad with cilantro dressing is my #1.

WAKEUPPEOPLE !!! We tried this place for the first time today. They have a Brunch Buffet on Sat from 9 – 3. This place is incredible! We were the only people in the place. The service is awesome and the food, OMG ! The food is the best in town. A couple hundred yards away(across the tracks) is Snappy’s where you’ll wait in line for some good food. Please know, I like Snappys, I don’t like the line I have to wait in. There’s no line here, and to be completely honest, the food here is better. With the brunch buffet, you get a ton of options, fresh made to order omelets, crepes, pancakes and then all the stuff on the brunch buffet. Here’s the best part, it cost less than Snappys! WHAT!!! Yes, it’s less money! No line, great service awesome food and less money. People, do yourself a favor, cross the tracks, give them a try. This has become my new go to place, hope you try it.

I believe they have new owners. I will never waste my money here ever, ever, ever again. I ordered a simple ham and cheese sandwich with swiss on rye for $ 9.50. For that price I certainly didn’t expect Oscar Myer type processed sandwich meat and not even real swiss. It was like processed flavored Velveeta or something similar. Ugh, my stomach turns just thinking about it. I at least expected real deli type meat cuts. So, in my opinion, if you like sandwiches like this, at least save some cash and get your sandwich from the gas station. I’m sure it will be much tastier.

I went here for the first time last Monday and I absolutely enjoyed it! I’m not a fan of where it’s located because it is a bit hidden in a crappy little parking lot BUT other than that I was impressed with the menu and the food it self. I had the chicken florentine crepes and my bf had the apple pancakes and they were one of the best pancakes we’ve ever tried! None of that frozen crap like Denny’s and IHOP.

We love Salt & Pepper! The food is amazing and the place is beautiful. We have used the facility for private parties and have always been pleased. They serve the most amazing breakfast, stop in and enjoy!

The service is atrocious, tried there breakfast, we were the only people in the place. My wife ordered the Taco’s with potato and egg and I ordered a sausage and cheese omelet. I took over 20min to get our food, my wife’s food was ok, but the serving size was like a appetizer. For me Instead of what I ordered I got a Ham and cheese omelet, made with two small eggs, with a sausage patty on the side, with a tiny portion of hash browns and unbelievable one slice of toast cut in half.

The food was decent here in the past, but the service is atrocious. We made reservations here for 12:15 and were here on time. It took the waitress 20 minutes to get to us to take our drink orders. At that time, we told her we needed to order immediately, and she proceeded to walk off. This happened 3 times before she took our order 15 minutes later. 25 minutes later, we got half our food and 2⁄5 orders were jacked up. 15 minutes later they brought out the salads for the other 3 orders. 10 minutes later, they brought 1⁄3 entrees. 8 minutes later, they brought one of the remaining entrees. One of our party never got her entrée before we had to leave to go back to work. It also took 15 minutes to get our check. To top it off, the food was subpar at best. We will never be back.

In Katy on business from Dallas. I travel all year long so dining out is something I take great pride in when it comes to finding a jewel! This place is a 20 carat diamond! From my Avacado stuffed with chicken salad to the Chef special Enchiladas I’m sold! The ambiance is fantastic and the out door patio was made special because the weather today is perfect. The trains passing by make it louder than I’d like for having a conversation but the food and niceties more than make up for it. If they do these enchiladas with a fajita chicken or better yet a smoked duck. prepare to have your life changed.

Was surprised to see negative reviews. Our experience was all positive. We were at a local museum and stumbled upon it. The curbside appeal is not great. The interior is very nice and clean. Cloth tablecloths, nice stemware, etc. Three of us had shrimp fettuccine. My wife had wild salmon. I had a burger that was done perfectly with an outdoor BBQ taste. The service was friendly genuine and helpful. We were here at 2:00 on a Monday and at this time there were just a handful of diners. I am in Katy for a week. I’ll be back.

I contacted them to cater a shower. Besides the food being late, the food was average. The chicken empanadas were greasy. The fruit and cheese display was not at all impressive. There were a few tiny pieces of cheese. This was not a display as much as fruit kabobs and there were no crackers as the menu description stated. I will say the chicken salad was great. They did however provide a free tray of desserts for being late.

Slow and terrible service, food quality was gross! I can not describe the slow service here but the real issue is the food quality is bad. Any chain like Olive Garden would be better… I did not eat my food, my waitress and manager were no where to be found I finally left after paying the bus boy? Keep driving!

Surprisingly upscale, maybe too sophisticated for the neighborhood? This is basically an ideal valentines, Mothers day, some happy news celebration spot. A antique walnut styled interior, great service and a simple but delicious menu makes this a cant miss spot. The Green sauce Enchilata’s is a fusion style dish that blends fresh ingredients, and plenty of spices. Enough to be memorable, not so much where it hurts. There is however a down side, being in this location, there isnt enough socialites in the area to ever make this the happening place it deserves to be.
