I love the atmosphere: 70 inch tvs, nice bar is the centerpiece of the space, music volume just right. The bar is comfortable and the staff is attentive and hip. Clientele seems to have a nice vibe. I enjoyed the Boulevard«the Calling» IPA on tap. I will be back next time I’m out near KCI.

Ate here last night and had the buffalo chicken pizza. It was pretty good, right amount of spice, and the chicken was delicious. Plus, as a St. Louis native, the cracker crust is always a welcome template. The Guinness was cool, but not frozen, which is perfect. Seating yourself though on a busy night seemed very strange as there weren’t hardly any open tables. But the waitress was on point and the food came out in a reasonable time frame. Cost is about average for this type of «bar & grill»; i.e. $ 8-$ 12 for entrees, $ 6-$ 10 for appetizers, and $ 3-$ 6 for beers. Didn’t try the wings, but they are the Wednesday special(.60 cents each/minimum order of 10). It is a bit loud, but overall, it’s a good place to grab a bite and pint.

My boyfriend and I came here on a whim on an early Saturday afternoon. After seeing that service was a repeatedly written about issue, I was a little wary. But I thought, surely that wouldn’t be an issue with only a few other occupied tables. Nope, I was wrong. We got there and seated ourselves, per the chalkboard that told us to do so. It was dark. Like too dark. I get the atmosphere is supposed to be a bar, but it felt like 1AM, instead of 1PM. I got the pork tenderloin and waffle fries. While the pork tenderloin was gigantic and I couldn’t even finish it, there wasn’t anything spectacular about it. I’ve had better. My boyfriend ordered the Over the Top Nachos. He wasn’t impressed. And neither was I. I nibbled on some of it, but it was mostly chips and barely had any toppings — hardly making it «over the top.» The service was the biggest issue on our visit. We never got refills. We finally had to pull another waitress from another section to get a single refill. There was nothing overwhelmingly great about this place to make me want to even remotely come back. Overall: 1.5÷5 Food: 1.5÷5 Service: 1⁄5 Atmosphere: 1⁄5

Pub food sounded good on a lazy Saturday afternoon, so we gave Brewtop a shot. It left me with a mix of good and bad connotation. Inside, it’s pretty dark(even for a bar). But it is also pretty spacious and I didn’t feel cramped at all while eating, which I find unusual for this kind of setting. There are plenty of big-size TVs and sight lines are great. If I were going to watch a game at a bar, this is honestly probably where I would go(no thanks to Power & Light, and it’s more pleasant the Buffalo Wild Wings). Regarding the food, I was hopeful because Brewtop actually has a pretty robust menu, for a bar. I ordered the nachos appetizer, and my girlfriend got the pork tenderloin and waffle fries. She thought her food was passable. I thought the nachos underwhelmed. It offers your typical loaded-nacho fare(sour cream, meat, tomatoes, et cetera), which I feel like always has the potential to impress. But here, it was a mountain of chips with disproportionate toppings. The chips are quality, but it felt slapped together. I would have rated higher, honestly. But the food was just too average. It reminded me of 54th Street, but a solid couple of notches worse(and I happen to like 54th Street… so maybe that’s a bad analogy). Regarding the service, there was a lot of chumming around going on between servers and regulars. I know, I know, it’s a bar. I get it. But we were frequently ignored because there would be two or three servers standing at a nearby table talking. That being said, I’m curious enough to keep going back. Maybe I can become a regular and get the preferential treatment so other, worse people than myself will be ignored. Game watchability: 5⁄5 Food: 2⁄5 Service: 2⁄5

After ordering three house bourbon and waters(knowing that my gf and I both HATE Jack Daniels) and at the end of the night seeing jack Daniels on my tab not by mistake(after getting in an argument width another patron over him arguing with the server over the price of his drinks) we realized he was right in questioning the price of his drinks. I was charged 15 dollars over the price of my actual tab, the manager acted like I was in the wrong for asking, so beware of being overcharged.

Good selection of beer for the area and the food is better than average for a sports bar. Plenty of TVs and good service when I have visited.

Still the best place in the northland to watch sports. Over 25 screens several are HUGE! Dollar drafts on Wednesday and the best bar food in kansas city!

We’ve been here a couple times and the food has always been solid with great servers. Yesterday we tried the fried pickles and buffalo kettle chips and both were really good. Love the grilled chicken on the chips. It makes me want to try the buffalo chicken pizza.

Ive been here before and loved it until now. I decided to have a drink and a late bite to eat but when i walked in the door, i was shocked from what news i got. There is a 5 dollar cover charge to get it in, due to $ 1 beers i guess. I didnt see a band… so why is there a cover? I was ready to drink a couple beers(not dollar beers) and get some food. My money went somewhere else tonight.

Stopped by on the way to the airport for a beer and some food, and based on reviews expected a good experience. We have been waiting 25 minutes just to order our food(got the beers right away so we were stuck). The«waitress» has walked by us, completely ignoring my coworker and me, more times than we can count at this point. Hiwever she seems to have zero problem addressing the needs of the male patrons. We have finally decided that we have to go to the bar to order anything, and the bartender has come to our table to help us. The 2 stars is due to the complete lack of service by the waitress on the floor. Hopefully the food will be worth our stop.

Wow. Talk about missing your opportunity to make money. HEADSUPMANAGEMENT! I’ve gone here before with poor service but never bothered to review the business. I prefer to support local establishments, so thought I’d try them out for the sake of supporting a LOCAL business. Tonight, after calling in to order a couple of large orders of wings TOGO(i.e. no taken table space, no waitress needed, purely food prep and my cash in their hand)…I was«greeted» by a not so interested person on the other end of the line… who promptly put me on hold… for nearly 3.5 minutes… and never came back… good bye! I called Buffalo Wild Wings instead and placed my $ 65+ order to go.

Ordered a quesadilla 25 minutes ago and when I asked the waitress what the update was she replied«you didn’t order anything». My guess is she ate it on the way back from the kitchen. I have 8 years of service industry experience and that’s unacceptable.

Woooowwwww and here I thought Buffalo Wild Wings had terrible servers. Walked in sat down, next too the sever station, made eye contact WITHTWO servers neither of which welcomed us or brought menus. They did wait on tables that sat down after us though. After 15 min walked out the door. The search for a place to drink and watch the game continues.

Your server will really make your experience. The food is decent if not typical bar food. Nice beer selection so nice to rely on a non-chain for entertainment in the northland. I’ve been a couple times. Got 1 waitress that couldn’t have cared less about our experience, so I thought the place was horrible. Today, had a waitress who chatted us up, making it more enjoyable.

popped in for lunch for the first time. Limited time for lunch, not busy, took awhile to get our food. Waffle fries and tater tots tasted like grease and had been pre-cooked and left under a heat lap for the lunch rush. Burger was good, Texas roast beef cajun type sandwich was really spicy, and egg bread appeared to have been grilled but it was just melted butter. I think it would be a great place for a drink and a app but kind of disappointing. We were hoping to find a nice local bar with some good bar food.

Good bar food, good service, good selection of food and beers, lots of TVs. What more do you want for a sports bar?

I’ve seen this location morph through various restaurants through the years and I’ve never made it to any of them, but today — toddy, I made it into the Brewtop and dang! You may know that I love pork tenderloins, I seek them out, I am, in fact, on a quest for the best Pork T in the city so when I saw that particular sandwich on the menu I was on it in a moment. Add a Lagunita’s IPA on tap, as I did, and you have a mighty combination. The Top Notch Tenderloin was the size of my kids head and had great flavorful seasoned breading but still had a nice porky flavor shinning through. The served it with a generous amount of horseradish and onion. The pickle was a spear which made it hard to add to the sandwich but I used my table side wizardry to make my own slices. This sandwich is a contender — I highly recommend it and it’s complimentary waffle fries to anyone looking for the elusive Pork T! Others in the group had chicken tenders which appeared to be prepared in house and not frozen and in any case were declared extra awesome, mac and chee bits which were breaded and fried hunks of M&C and a Southwest egg roll which wasn’t a favorite. We also had the loaded potato skins. Everything came to the table fresh and hot! We were watching the pregame show when all the many TV’s changed to the Royals game and just took it over the top. I also noticed, but didn’t get a chance to partake, a game room with stand up video games and two pool tables and an event board with something going on everyday!

Needed a place to grab a quick lunch bite with my son, so brew top was on the way home. The place is total sports bar, TV’s everywhere, 5 different sports channels on, a list of 25+ beers on tap, I ordered iced tea, boo, I know…15−20 high top tables, game room, with pool tables, patio and rooftop bar… what more could you want… good food… they have that to… From the nachos, to monster tenderloin, burgers… all the bar food is good bar food… did that make sense??? I’m partial to the chicken tenders and waffle cut fries… like father, like son… we both ordered the exact same thing. The chicken fingers are meaty, white meat tenders, with a really crunchy light batter… tons of flavor when dipped in honey mustard… getting hungry yet… dang, so excited to eat, I forgot to snap a pic of the meal… next time. Anyway, all their food is good, and there is always a nice lively crowd to do a little people watching while drinking or grabbing some grub… As others have noted… good and drink specials every day… give brew top a try… it’s a good local hangout.

Crowded, loud, active. If that is what you desire, this is a place to check out. The band the night we went… excellent. Rumor has it they play there often. I just don’t recall their name. A bit hard to talk once they get started. We only drank so I can’t comment on the food. Our waitress was a gem.

Brewtop is on my new favorite place for weekly outings with friends or to watch a game. While it’s normally pretty busy, I’ve never had a problem with service or getting my food/drinks. They are priced well, have above average«bar food»(some of it’s even relatively healthy & all of it’s flavorful!) and have plenty of TV’s so you’re never at a disadvantage no matter where you sit. There are also games and pool if you get stir crazy. Oh, they also have a great house cab, which I was very surprised with! Overall, it’s a great place to have in the area; it’s doesn’t have a chain vibe yet it’s nicer than some of the smaller sports bars. I’ll continue to keep coming here for sure.
