I booked my appointments online and went on a Friday night to get my hair and makeup done for a date with my boyfriend. When I first entered, no one greeted me at the door and I immediately felt uncomfortable and out of place. (Im not a girly girl by any means and I think they sensed that). Finally, one of the girls acknowledged my presence and told me to wait, acting as if I was a huge inconvenience to her. As I was waiting, I noticed the other girls who walked in were greeted with a smile, and asked if they wanted a drink. Finally, after about 30 minutes of waiting (after my scheduled appointment time) a girl called me over for my dry style. After my dry style, I had to wait another 15 – 20 minutes for my makeup. The girls were busy, which I completely understand, but there was no apology and Instead, I was treated like a nuisance even though I was quiet as a mouse. The girls did an excellent job on my hair and makeup which is the only reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars. They were very unorganized and the girls had no idea about my scheduled appointments beforehand.

I personally had a great experience at Posh KC, my friends not so much. We were on a Bachelorette weekend and had booked the appointment weeks in advance. When we arrived at the appointment time they were behind (I’m guessing with a previous party). The front is nothing but glass windows and between the sun and all of the blow dryers it was HOT! There also wasn’t a lot of room to sit, so most of us had to stand outside or wait next door at the coffee shop. My stylist was Chandler and she was AMAZING! I have extremely thick and wavy hair and I was particular (big hair with big curls). My hair was on point! She also did my make up. Normally I’m really simple with only foundation, eye liner and mascara so I asked for the makeup to look natural. Again she was ON POINT! She took her time and listened to every detail that I said I wanted.
Our party booked the Posh Party that was said to have included a «swag bag”-this consisted of a small box with a couple of samples-​very disappointing. The party was also supposed to have wristbands for select bars to cover the cover charge and drinks at a discounted price. There were never any wristbands and when we went to the bar later that evening they acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. Needless to say we had to pay the cover charge and full price for drinks.
Out of 8 of the girls with our party there were only 2 of us that were pleased with the results. They all went back to the hotel and removed the ridiculous amount of caked on make-​up and fixed their hair. Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.

BLOWN AWAY! I booked POSH KC for my engagement hair & makeup. I had my hair & makeup done by Posh’s Grace & I could not have been more impressed. Grace took her time & was very meticulous about her work. I asked for a soft blow out & that is exactly what I got-​my hair was perfect. I showed Grace a picture of the makeup look I was going for & I ended up looking better than the model!!! I went ahead & booked POSH KC for their «Rent Our Space» option for my wedding day. I cannot wait to treat all my bridesmaids!!!

Following my recent less than stellar visit to the salon, the owners reached out to me to apologize that my blow out was not up to great standards and to ensure me that their hairdressers would continue training to be proficient with all hair types. They also refunded my money (*gasp, unheard of*) Which I did not ask for since it wasn’t as if the woman didn’t do the work, she just did not know how to manage my hair well. No one has this type of customer service anymore — so refreshing. No doubt they’ll keep their clients coming back.

I had the best time getting ready at Posh KC for a wedding (I was just a guest, but treat yo’self, right?). I was in KC from out of town — booking online in advance was a breeze. I even put a note on my appointment that I’d like to add a makeup application if there was time. When I was booking online, that wasn’t an option because of timing — but it all worked out in the end!
Cute interiors, complimentary champagne, and I left feeling gorgeous. I also got compliments about how young I look. Who doesn’t want to hear THAT?!
I thought the cost was VERY fair. Hair services were comparable to blowout bars in Columbus, OH and the makeup application was slightly less than what I’d pay around Cbus. Plus, it was very close to my hotel (Hotel Phillips).
My visit could not have been any better or more convenient.

I was contacted almost immediately by a store owner following my negative experience/​review. Kelly was incredibly sweet to me and apologized for everything that happened during my appointment. My money was refunded and I was offered another complimentary appointment. It is obvious that the owners were genuinely upset and wanted to make my experience in their salon positive. I truly appreciate the incredible customer service; they went above and beyond! It speaks volumes about a business when the owner contacts a customer personally and is so understanding of the situation. I will definitely give this salon a second chance!

Came here to get my hair blown out for a night out in Kansas City. The blowout cost about 35 dollars and the girl who did my hair was very very sweet.
My hair was big (which is what I asked for), but alas the curls did not stay as promised. None of this was her fault, my hair really won’t hold a curl even if you pay it money.
The place is brand new, and beautiful inside. I really liked the décor, with motivational phrases written in gold lettering. Too cute. Much different than the blowout factories of NYC. They offer you champagne, soda or water when you come in and it’s as relaxing as they come.

Best Blow Dry Bar that I’ve been to so far! I love the idea of a blow dry bar but I always end up being disappointed when I leave. Until last week! I knew with a new baby I needed someone else to do my hair and make up for my sisters wedding. I booked my appointment online. The girl who did my hair did a wonderful job blow drying and pinning it which have me amazing volume. My make up was perfect– I added lashes for only $ 10. I got my hair and makeup done at 10am and the wedding wasn’t until 5 and everything still looked great. We even did pictures in the rain and my hair didn’t frizz! Thank you everyone!
