I’m really frustrated with Old Navy right now. The entire brand has been declining in some ways, this store particularly. First off, they had stopped carrying the jeans in LONGs although today I did find a pair in LONG so maybe that practice is reversing. Second of all, the Pixie pants are constructed in the opposite way that pants here used to be. They used to be constructed for long torso(small waist, roomier behinds) builds, but now they are built for short torso(big waist/no behind) people. Also, the gauze pants run really big. If you’re a medium, you have to choose a small size. I confirmed with with another shopper. Thirdly, in almost all sections of the women’s department, the sizes were jumbled together, so if I were looking in a MEDIUM section, all sizes might be there, forcing me to pick through every single piece of clothing to find my size. Same thing with the hangers. It might say small with a large on the hanger. This is not just a few customers being sloppy. It’s the employees not taking pride in their work. My wait in line was longer than I felt it should have been. It took too long for them to decide to open another register. There were items on the floor I found myself stepping over. Perhaps children had been playing and pulled stuff off the shelves, but to LEAVE it like that? On the plus side, all the employees were super friendly(except the one woman who blurted loud, crass, vocals when she dropped something) and the checkout guy let me know I could save money with a store charge card AND that online items could be returned here. Management needs to be coaching to get the aforementioned issues straightened out and corporate needs to make a decision on how to accurately get their clothes consistently constructed.

Store is busy, the counter has always skeeved me out though, it’s always cluttered and the employees seem in a rush. Old Navy is always good for basics, especially for the kiddos and last minute items for me while traveling.
